Debbie Reynolds, who died on Wednesday at the age of 84, was one of the last icons of Hollywood’s Golden Age.
Throughout her nearly seven decade career, Reynolds made a name for herself as a triple-threat singer, dancer, and actor — with roles in big-screen MGM musicals and Broadway shows. She was also chart-topping recording artist and dynamic live performer, who toured the country for years as a night club entertainer.
Music was an inescapable part of Reynolds career. Here are 11 of her best musical moments.

Ron Moody as Fagin in 'Oliver!' based on Charles Dickens' 'Oliver Twist.' Ron Moody as Fagin in Dickens musical 'Oliver!': Box office and critical hit (See previous post: "Ron Moody: 'Oliver!' Actor, Academy Award Nominee Dead at 91.") Although British made, Oliver! turned out to be an elephantine release along the lines of – exclamation point or no – Gypsy, Star!, Hello Dolly!, and other Hollywood mega-musicals from the mid'-50s to the early '70s.[1] But however bloated and conventional the final result, and a cast whose best-known name was that of director Carol Reed's nephew, Oliver Reed, Oliver! found countless fans.[2] The mostly British production became a huge financial and critical success in the U.S. at a time when star-studded mega-musicals had become perilous – at times downright disastrous – ventures.[3] Upon the American release of Oliver! in Dec. 1968, frequently acerbic The...

Over the course of film history, we've seen plenty of long-time actors step behind the camera to take up their directorial ambitions. Clint Eastwood did it. Mel Gibson did it. George Clooney did it. What do these three have in commonc Well, for starters, they are all men, so there's that. Further, they are all white, but more on that later. More to the point of the article, these men all eased into their directorial careers by starring in their respective debuts, using their presence on screen to help market their talents off it. And with his feature directorial effort The Water Diviner, which hits limited theaters this week, Russell Crowe is just the most recent addition to a growing list of actors who have decided to try their hand behind the camera. Like Eastwood, Gibson, and Clooney before him, the Best Actor winner stars in his first feature as director,...

"Dancing with the Stars" has almost reached 300 episodes? That's rather frightening. Hopefully, the week 8 dances that commemorate this high number -- trio performances as well as the normal pairs -- will be much less scary. After all, we only have a few dances left before that big number 300 arrives on Tuesday.
We have all of the performances and scores here in the "DWTS" live blog.
Zendaya and Val Chmerkovskiy -- foxtrot
You can't go too wrong with "Don't Worry, Be Happy." Especially when you have a cheerful, young dancer like Zendaya. The foxtrot isn't stunning or dramatic -- but it is light and beautiful and a really cool performance.
Len: "The longer it goes on, the stronger you get."
Bruno: "Pure, graceful, light and breezy ... What you have is a natural musicality."
Carrie Ann: "As soon as you got into hold, you took my breath away."
Scores: 9+10+9 = 28

With anticipation surrounding the annual Oscars ceremony hotting up, a 17 year old A-Level student and avid Lego fan, Harry Bossert, has recreated the top ten movie moments of all time using the iconic bricks and popular minifigures. And, the results show that we are a nostalgic nation with eight out of ten of the scenes being from pre-90s movies and most recent from 1997!
Topping the poll conducted by Lego, British film-goers favourite moment was from E.T. where Elliot and Et rides the bicycle away in to night sky, with more than one in ten claiming it was their favourite movie scene of all time. Coming a close second and third, was Hollywood starlet, Marilyn Monroe, standing above the subway in The Seven Year Itch and Gene Kelly singing in the rain, making up near to 20% of the vote. Julie Andrews singing The Hills are Alive in The Sound of Music...

According to the British newspaper, The Sun, teen pop sensation Justin Bieber wants to remake and star in the movie, Grease, as ”Danny Zucko,” the role made famous by John Travolta in 1978. Bieber told the paper that, “it would be a lot of fun. It’s been talked about a lot over the years, but it would be awesome to play Danny.” When asked who Bieber would choose to play Olivia Newton John’s character, “Sandy”, Beiber stated, “I would go for Miley Cyrus without hesitation. She can sing, dance and act.” He also has the perfect person in mind to play “Principal McGee,” stating, “wouldn’t Susan Boyle make an amazing Principal McGee?” Truth be told, no one should be trying to remake a musical classic like Grease, let alone a kid who was born nearly 20 years after its release! Is he serious? Are you buying this? Would anyone actually go see it?...
