Jelly Roll is sharing his goal of running a half marathon. This comes on the heels of his successful 5K which totally transformed his body and his mind. So, how is he getting ready for this next mission in his life? Keep reading to see what Jelly has to say about his new venture.
Jelly Roll Shares Goal Of Running Half Marathon
It was a big deal for Jelly Roll to share that he was embarking on his first 5K. Though he did not think he would actually run it, he was still prepping as hard as he could. All of his hard work and training paid off as the performer dropped around seventy pounds. This was a huge deal for him as he had been the victim of cyberbullying and even left the Internet. His wife, Bunnie Xo had jumped to his defense and has even noted what a healthy eater he is.

Nikki Glaser ripped on Ben Affleck for bombing at Netflix’s Tom Brady roast, telling Barstool Sports’ “KFC Radio” podcast that it was abundantly clear the Oscar winner came unprepared to the live taping. Affleck was one of the event’s surprise roasters.
“I haven’t watched it again, like how it looked, because I don’t like to watch people bomb,” Glaser said of Affleck’s roast set. “He didn’t prepare. He’s someone who’s famous enough he probably thinks it’s beneath him to do this. Like, ‘I’m just gonna do a favor, it’s not gonna be that big of a deal.’ And then you do it and you go, ‘Oh! This is way bigger than I thought it was going to be. I’m just kind of phoning it in,'”

After knocking her set out of the park at last week’s roast of Tom Brady, comedian Nikki Glaser has been discussing the controversial live TV event, including new regrets from the former New England Patriots quarterback to the live ribbing marathon, and how she received a note from Kim Kardashian calling the experience a form of “abuse.”
Following the May 6 roast of The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, Brady said on The Pivot Podcast that he enjoyed when comedians took humorous jabs about nearly all aspects of his life but that he didn’t care for the jabs aimed at his family, adding that the comments impacted his children, “the people [he] care[s] about most in the world.”
“I feel like maybe he didn’t consider the backlash from his family and how it would affect them, and I do understand that,” Glaser said on Wednesday’s Today with Hoda and Jenna.

Tom Brady’s first roast will likely be his last.
During an appearance on “The Pivot Podcast,” the retired quarterback revealed that some of the jokes made during his recent Netflix roast poorly affected his children and that he wouldn’t sign up to do it again. While he didn’t specify the jokes in question, many of the comedians who took the stage targeted his high-profile marriage and divorce to Gisele Bündchen, with whom he has two kids. (Brady also has a third child with Bridget Moynahan.)

Tom Brady survived through his scorching Netflix roast, heralded as a major win for comedy.
The NFL legend was a good sport throughout the event, while comedians, including Nikki Glaser, Jeff Ross, and Tony Hinchcliffe, took a flamethrower to his personal life and career through the brilliance of comedic insults.
Some moments hit harder than any sack Brady likely experienced on the football field, and one instance featured Brady seemingly scolding a comedian about a joke that may have crossed the line.
And while the seven-time Super Bowl champion seemed to roll with the punches and even deliver a few of his own, he recently explained why he regretted his decision.
Speaking on his experience with the roast, Brady indicated he “loved” many of the jokes focused on him.
Despite the fun and laughs entertaining a massive live audience and many Netflix viewers, the retired NFL star revealed why he wouldn’t endure it again.

Tom Brady appeared on “The Pivot Podcast” and admitted that some of the jokes made during his Netflix roast affected his children and he would not sign up to be roasted again as a result. The NFL icon has three children, one son with Bridget Moynahan and a son and a daughter with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen. While Brady did not specify which jokes upset his children during the Netflix roast, many of the comedians present took aim at his marriage and divorce to Bündchen.
“I liked when the jokes were about me. I thought they were so fun. Bert Kreischer made a joke involving his bag of nicotine patches during The Tom Brady Roast. Then it morphed into an accusation about cocaine, he told Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday, taking things into dangerous territory.
Kreischer had nicotine patches in a can in his pocket, but he was informed by the director of the roast that they were too distracting. “So I said, ‘Okay, and I put them in a little bag,'” he said. But that led ridicule by comedian Sam Jay.
“She started calling me a fake party animal, that I don’t even do drugs, I’m not even dead like the best ones.”
He continued, “So, I went into my pocket and pulled out my nicotine patches and I just wiggled them.”
Comedian Andrew Schulz chimed in. “Schulz goes, ‘You got a bag of blow on you?’ And the camera’s on me in the Forum and the Forum goes nuts,...

The event also featured surprise guests including Ben Affleck, Will Farrell, and Kim Kardashian. Nikki Glaser was one of the highlights of Netflix’s Tom Brady roast, eviscerating the NFL superstar with jokes about his divorce from Gisele Bündchen and her reported new romance with Jiu-Jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente. But Glaser didn’t get to deliver every punchline she intended to during the live comedy event. During a post-roast interview on “The Howard Stern Show,” Glaser rattled off some of the Brady jokes she cut from her set.
“Tom, I love your work — that you’ve done on your face,” read one of Glaser’s cut jokes about Brady’s alleged plastic surgery. “Seriously, slow down. What is happening with your cheeks? You look like a Ken doll that was microwaved. You love deflating things, so stop.”
Glaser also cut a joke about Cte (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy), a progressive degenerative disease caused by repeated concussions that affects many NFL players.

It was a long night for Tom Brady at his live Netflix comedy roast, as it was for the rest of us watching from home.
Starting with a bloody Oj Simpson jersey and ending with Brady smashing an iPhone on stage, the Netflix live event, “The Greatest Roast of All-Time: Tom Brady,” honored the seven-time Super Bowl champion. The modern-day legend faced his biggest challenge yet: being roasted by comedians and his former NFL teammates.
At times hilarious and at others a bit cringe-worthy, the unedited live event was a lengthy affair that made one truly appreciate the editors of the Comedy Central roasts. Their task was to condense the content into a concise, entertaining 60-minute presentation. Here, bits went on far too long, and former football players had glazed looks in their eyes in the background. The comedians who do this for a living performed incredibly well, while the others…...

Tom Brady agreed to be roasted in Netflix’s The Greatest Roast of All Time, but one particular joke seemingly went too far for the future NFL Hall of Famer.
One of the early moments from the comedy special that went viral was when the seven-time Super Bowl champion got off of his seat to whisper something to Jeff Ross.
As the “Roastmaster General,” Ross came on stage to roast Brady, and one particular joke seemingly ticked off the former football player.
Ross was talking about how Brady was selected by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the NFL draft and became the 199th overall pick.

Comedians and podcasters Bert Kreischer and Tom Segura are jumping into the spirits game with a new vodka brand.
The duo, who co-host the hit comedy podcast 2 Bears, 1 Cave, have partnered with venture studio Drip Mfg to launch their own vodka brand, Por Osos. While the pair are known for their jokes, they’re taking this new venture quite seriously.
“We were very much fingers in the pie on every aspect,” Kreischer tells The Hollywood Reporter. “From the bottle cap, down to the kind of bear image. I mean, we really, really had our fingers in this.”
The pair note that they had been approached many times before to create something in the liquor space. They waffled between a few types of liquor before settling on vodka. Kreischer feels that vodka is a “natural fit,” while Segura notes that there “hasn’t been anybody disruptive in the vodka space.”

A primetime game show, the Celebrity Family Feud TV series is hosted by comedian Steve Harvey. Contestants in season nine include the friends and families of David Burtka, Nikki Glaser, Tiffany Haddish, Neil Patrick Harris, Sophia Bush Hughes, Gayle King, Bert Kreischer, Marcus Lemonis, Bebe Rexha, and Justin Simien, as well as performers from Cruel Summer, Drag Me To Dinner, The Haunted Mansion, The Wonder Years, The Yellowjackets and the men...

When "The Postcard Killings" arrived in theaters back in 2020, we all turned our noses up at the idea of Jeffrey Dean Morgan as a detective on the case of the serial killer who offed his daughter. "No, Jeffrey Dean Morgan," we said, "we reject your offer of a trauma-propelled crime thriller," and promptly bestowed on his ill-fated film a 38% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Critics were even more intolerant of this adaptation of James Patterson and Liza Marklund's #1 New York Times bestselling thriller. "There just isn't enough depth to the screenplay," proclaimed Variety, while the LA Times accused the film of being "awkwardly pitched between serious art and pulp trash." All of which resulted in an abject 24% critic score on Rt. Despite the involvement of award-winning Bosnian filmmaker Danis Tanovic, then, "The Postcard Killings" was pretty much Doa.

Comedian Bert Kreischer is sticking with Netflix, signing with the streamer to film two more stand-up comedy specials. This reps the fourth and fifth specials for Kreischer at Netflix, following “Razzle Dazzle” (2023), “Hey Big Boy” (2020), and “Secret Time” (2018).
The first of the two specials will be filmed by Kreischer at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg, Fla., on July 6. It’s a homecoming of sorts for Kreischer, who grew up in nearby Tampa (where he most recently sold out the Amalie Arena in February 2023). Kreischer’s Florida bonafides include attending Florida State University, where he was infamously dubbed the “Number One Partier in the Nation” by Rolling Stone in 1997.
Kreischer will exec produce the new specials along with LeeAnn Kreischer, Judi Marmel, Tony Hernandez, Jeff Tomsic and Jordan Levy. Tomsic is also the director, while Kreischer’s Berty Boy Prods. is behind the specials.

Taylor Swift is celebrating her newfound status as Spotify’s Global Top Artist with a surprise of her own: The massively popular singer-songwriter has just officially released the previously hard-to-find fan favorite song “You’re Losing Me.”
The song, now widely available on streaming services, is the latest of Swift’s “from the vault” releases – tracks that didn’t make her official studio albums. “You’re Losing Me,” which Swift co-wrote with producer Jack Antonoff, was initially released last May only on the “Late Night Edition” CD of Swift’s 2022 album Midnights and in a digital version exclusively at her web store.
This morning, Swift posted on X/Twitter, “Um ok this is unreal?? I just wanted to say to anyone who listened to my music this year, anywhere in the world, thank you. Getting named Spotify’s Global Top Artist in 2023 is truly the best birthday/holiday gift you could’ve given me.

If the film and television industries have been challenged like never before in a year of double strikes, in the world of comedy, the story is very different.
In truth, stand-up has never been bigger, with one story after another rolling out of comedians setting records for attendance and viewership. Take Nate Bargatze, for example, who earlier this year set an Amazon streaming record with his special Hello World, before going on to sell a record number of tickets to an April show at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, and bringing SNL its highest-rated episode of the season. Or Matt Rife, a young up-and-comer with 10+ years under his belt, who hit the upper echelons of comedy seemingly overnight after blowing up on TikTok, selling out a global tour encompassing some 600,000 tickets in less than 48 hours, before going on to land his own forthcoming Netflix special, Matt Rife: Natural Selection. The comedy community is just grateful to be nominated.
Top professional funny people have weighed in on this week’s news that the annual Golden Globe awards have introduced two new categories, one of which will honor best performance in stand-up comedy on television.
Comedy is a notoriously tough sell when it comes to awards season, though the Globes have always shown love in the form of a dedicated category for comedies and musicals in the best picture space. The live special format has reached global saturation and popularity thanks to streaming platforms, YouTube and social media. Six solo comics, or a breakout member of a troupe or ensemble, will duke it out for the prize for the first time on the Jan. 7 telecast.

Albert Charles Kreischer Jr. is an American stand-up comedian, podcaster, reality television host, and actor. He is widely known as Bert Kreischer. In 1997, which was Kreischer’s sixth year at Florida State University, he was ranked the number one “partier” by The Princeton Review in their annual list of the top “party schools” in the United States, of which Florida State was ranked Number one. Clearly, Kreisher made a name for himself. Kreischer is married with two daughters and lives in Los Angeles with his family. Kreischer is also an author. When Mark Hamill set off to start filming "The Machine," he announced it in a video on Twitter, in which he claimed that he "might already regret this." Well, the movie arrived in 2023, and unfortunately, the box office and critical response pretty much proved Hamill right to be hesitant, even if he was only joking.
"The Machine" made a global total of $10.6 million on a budget of $20 million. Even worse were the reviews, with Rotten Tomatoes summarizing the film as "a sloppily lifeless movie," and "broken beyond repair." Poor old "Big fat Bert," as his "2 Bears 1 Cave" co-host Tom Segura lovingly calls him. He's just trying to spread some joy.
Rolling Stone referred to Kreischer as the "top partyer at the Number One Party School in the country" in their 1997 profile, and you might be surprised to hear that he originally had his life adapted to the big...

With writers off the picket lines, they might consider news pitches to address what’s clearly an underfed genre: Movie star as comedienne, and we’re not talking rom-coms.
Cases in point: Well, there’s the Margot Robbie juggernaut that is “Barbie” (Warner Bros.), with its $630 million domestic/over $1.4 billion worldwide theatrical take to date. Perhaps even more relevant is “No Hard Feelings” (Sony), a totally original project that didn’t have the benefit of an iconic Mattel doll as its core IP.
As expected, “Barbie” repeated as #1 on all charts. However, “Feelings” — starring and produced by Jennifer Lawrence as an Uber driver hired to elevate the confidence of a shy 19-year-old entering college — has remained on or near #1 since it hit home viewing in early August.
“Feelings” grossed $50 million in domestic theaters and another $36 million foreign, which isn’t great when it cost $45 million before marketing.
However, its home performance — initially as a $19.99 PVOD,...

Netflix announced on Monday that A Woman’s Prayer, the first-ever comedy special from actor and comedian Kountry Wayne, will premiere on the platform September 19th.
Filmed at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C., the special has the rising star comic meditate on everything from fatherhood to gender dynamics and faith. It’s directed by Jeff Tomsic, who in addition to the 2018 feature comedy Tag and shows like Idiotsitter, has helmed specials for everyone from Bert Kreischer to Steve Rannazzisi (Breaking Dad), Kurt Metzger (White Precious) and the late Norm Macdonald (the 3x Emmy-nominated Nothing Special).
Wayne, Tomsic, and Matthew Vaughan of Rotten Science served as executive producers.

“Blue Beetle” has dethroned “Barbie” at the domestic box office. The latest DC superhero adventure claimed the No. 1 spot despite a softer-than-expected debut of $25.4 million.
At the international box office, “Blue Beetle,” starring Xolo Maridueña as the alien symbiote, added $18 million from 63 markets. With $43 million globally, it’s one of the softest starts in the history of the DC Cinematic Universe.
After four consecutive weekends in first place, “Barbie” landed on her feet at second place with $21.5 million from 4,003 theaters, a huge result at this point in its theatrical run. After five weeks of release, Greta Gerwig’s fantasy-comedy has generated $567 million and will soon overtake Universal’s animated “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” ($574 million) as the biggest domestic release of the year.
“Blue Beetle” cost more than $100 million to produce and many millions more to promote, so it’ll need to defy the box office odds to justify its price tag.

Will “Blue Beetle,” the latest DC superhero adaptation, knock down “Barbie” at the domestic box office?
It may be a closer-than-expected race between the two Warner Bros. releases for the top spot, despite “Barbie” entering its fifth weekend in theaters. “Blue Beetle,” starring Xolo Maridueña as the alien symbiote, is targeting $25 million to $32 million in its debut. The comic book adventure is landing on Friday in 3,850 venues, including some Imax screens.
Meanwhile, “Barbie” is expected to add a stellar $17 million to $20 million over the weekend. With $537.4 million in North America, Greta Gerwig’s very pink comedy is closing in on Universal’s “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” ($574 million) as the highest-grossing release of the year. The juggernaut has impressively remained the No. 1 movie for four consecutive weekends and recently overtook Christopher Nolan’s 2008 superhero epic “The Dark Knight” ($536 million) as the biggest domestic release in Warner Bros. history.

With great movies, come great marketing costs.
Sony Pictures’ profit tumbled 68 percent in April to June 2023, which is when “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” began tearing up the town. The Wednesday presentation of Sony’s fiscal Q1 2023 earnings referred to the decline in operating income as “significant.” We’d say so.
There were two contributing factors to the Pictures segment’s profit sinking by about 34.7 billion yen vs. the comparable quarter last year. First and foremost was a 21 billion yen (or -6 percent) decrease in sales. But don’t go judging the box office performance based on that stat. Theatrical revenues were actually up — just not enough to overcome lower licensing revenue from streamers and a poorer U.S. television series delivery.
The second issue was marketing costs. A larger number of theatrical releases (though fewer tentpoles) this time meant a higher amount spent on advertising those films.
Of particular note,...
