Actress Sofia Vergara was recently captured in a video by Architectural Digest, where she unveiled the inner sanctum of her walk-in closet, a room that amounts to a staggering $1 million worth of fashion brands such as Gucci and Prada.
Vergara invited fans into her $26 million abode, nestled in the exclusive and affluent Beverly Park community, in the mountains of Beverly Hills. The actress acquired her house in 2020 while married to True Blood actor Joe Manganiello, from whom she divorced last year.
Vergara’s Tuscan-style haven, constructed in 1999 and once owned by baseball player Barry Bonds, boasts an impressive six bedrooms and ten bathrooms. With 17,000 square feet of living space spread out across two acres of land, the residence also has a two-story guesthouse, a home cinema and a pool-side cabana.
In the interview, Vergara shared a glimpse of her bedroom, designated as the epicenter of “sexy” and where the “good times” unfold.

Bethenny Frankel may be an iconic Housewife, but some of her recent moves may have earned her an “asterisk,” as comedian and Bravoholic Michael Rapaport has pointed out.
During the writer and actor strikes, Frankel led the charge against the big studios for exploiting reality personalities. She criticized her former boss, Andy Cohen, and then invited the vilified Vanderpump Rules mistress, Rachel Leviss, to appear on her podcast.
Bethenny Frankel is now the ‘Lance Armstrong of Housewives,’ Michael Rapaport says
Leviss was on board with holding the networks and production accountable, but fans soon pointed out that Frankel was capitalizing on Leviss’s drama.
“I think that her reality reckoning is a self-fulfilling prophecy,” Rapaport said on the Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast. “I think that she wants her name and her face attached to it. I have been on record calling her the Michael Jordan of Housewives,...

New York Yankees star Aaron Judge broke a 61-year-old record when he hit his 62nd home run in a game Tuesday against the Texas Rangers.
The slugger made history by breaking the American League record for single-season home runs that had been held by Roger Maris since 1961. Maris, in turn, had broken Babe Ruth’s record of 60 homers that he set in 1927. Judge had tied Maris for 60 home runs last week when the Yankees faced off the Toronto Blue Jays.

Aaron Judge is currently finishing off a historic baseball season for the New York Yankees. On Sept. 28, the 30-year-old slugger matched the American League single-season home-run record, 61, set by Roger Maris (who was also a Yankee) way back in 1961. With seven games left on the Yankees' schedule, it seems more than likely he'll set a new record. Judge also seems like a lock for American League Mvp, and he's been doing his best to carry the Bronx Bombers to a major playoff run.
By Judge's side through his historic year? His wife, Samantha Bracksieck. The duo keep their relationship very private, but Bracksieck is often spotted at Judge's games, cheering him on. They also attended the US Open together on Sept. 5 in Queens.
According to the New York Post, Bracksieck and Judge's mom, Patty, were both on hand at Yankee Stadium on Sept. 21 to see him hit his 60th home run.

The New York Yankees' Aaron Judge just made baseball history. The 30-year-old hit his 61st home run of the season during a Sept. 28 game against the Toronto Blue Jays, officially tying Roger Maris' American League record. The historic shot came in at the seventh inning, when Judge smashed a ball from Tim Mayza over the left field wall at the Rogers Centre. Prior to Maris, Babe Ruth held the record with 60 single-season home runs in 1927. With seven more games remaining, Judge could very well surpass Maris' 1961 record for most home runs in a season. However, he'll still need a dozen more successful hits if he wants to match Barry Bond's MLB record of 73...

Aaron Judge just made history during the Yankees game against the Toronto Blue Jays. Officially, he tied the all-time American League (and New York Yankees) record for most home runs in a season, held by Roger Maris since 1961. But for baseball purists (like my editor who forced me to write that headline), Judge tied the record for all-time home runs in a season league-wide.
During the 7th inning against the Toronto Blue Jays, the California native hit the ball over the bullpen and against the left field wall, marking his 61st home run this season.

Aaron Judge continued his pursuit of baseball’s (legitimate) home run record Tuesday night when the New York Yankees outfielder hit his 60th home run of the year, tying him with Babe Ruth’s mark and putting him within one long ball of matching Roger Maris’ Yankees and American League record.
Maris’ sons Roger Jr. and Kevin were on hand at Yankee Stadium Tuesday night for Judge’s 60th homer, which kicked off the team’s improbable comeback from a four-run 9th inning deficit to win 9-8 against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

“Cupid,” a 1996 ballad from the R&b group 112, is as gorgeous as it is jarring. It comes on like a lullaby, with feathery guitar and handsome multi-part harmonies. But step into the song and you’re entering a place where sweet nothings are not to be trusted. Suspicion rules, so requests come with wild caveats: “Girl when I ask you to trust me, that doesn’t mean that I’m gonna cheat on you.” Communication between the characters has clearly been poisoned, but 112’s delivery remains unerringly sweet and endearingly naive,...

If boxing champ Oscar de la Hoya does return to the ring, you’ll have “The Masked Dancer” to thank.
De la Hoya was the next celebrity to be revealed on the show, as the person under the Zebra costume on Wednesday’s edition of the hit series. He was unmasked after dancing to Bobby Darin’s “Mack the Knife,” in tribute to a loved one he lost to cancer.
Asked to comment on whether he may come out of retirement to box again, de la Hoya was coy — but he did tell Variety that, “Let’s just say that Mike Tyson inspired me to train, to start training in the gym. I’ve actually been in the gym for the last about five months. And, you know, who knows, maybe the Zebra is making a comeback!”
De la Hoya said the pandemic did offer him time to focus on training as well.

Henry Aaron, the slugger known as “Hammerin’ Hank” who cemented himself in baseball lore when he broke Babe Ruth’s career home run mark in 1974, died Friday. He was 86. His daughter confirmed the news to media outlets.
The Hall of Famer played 21 seasons for the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves and finished his Major League career with two seasons on the Milwaukee Brewers in 1975-76. A 21-time All-Star, he topped Ruth’s treasured mark with his 715th homer — a blast against the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Al Downing at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium on April 8, 1974. It remains among baseball’s most-played clips of all time.
He finished with 755 home runs, a career record that stood until Barry Bonds beat it in 2007 during MLB’s “steroids era.”
Atlanta Mayor Keisha Bottoms paid tribute to the local hero in a statement Friday:
“Derek, our family and I join the nation in sending heartfelt condolences to Mrs.

One of Fran Lebowitz’s finest stories in Netflix’s Pretend It’s a City — like Cole Porter songs, Agatha Christie mysteries and Barry Bonds home runs, it’s a long list — involves a breakfast she shared with jazz legends Charles Mingus and Duke Ellington. Interestingly, this is only the second-best Charles Mingus story featured in the show, but the point of the tale is that Lebowitz was struck at that breakfast by how deferential Mingus, a man of impeccable confidence and stature, was in Ellington’s presence.

For the last four decades or so, Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game has been preceded by the Home Run Derby. The sport’s best(-ish) sluggers step to the plate and launch long ball after long ball into stands of “ooo”-ing and “ahh”-ing spectators. While watching towering shots threaten to shatter the lights of the stadium makes for fleeting entertainment, the problem with the Home Run Derby is that the grandest of long balls only occur in the wild. Home runs are best appreciated in the context of a game, which often gains added meaning from a season-long marathon, or even a 100-year championship drought.
Look at Kirby Puckett’s 1991 World Series walk-off shot that set the table for a Twins’ title, or Kirk Gibson’s one-legged Game 1 bomb that, in his only plate appearance, launched the ’88 Dodgers to a pennant, or even Kyle Schwarber, the greatest...

ESPN, Disney's $10 billion sports media empire, has always had cozy relationships with the stars it covers. ESPN Books has published tomes penned by athletes, like John Amaechi's Man in the Middle. Myriad others have appeared on the network's SportsCenter commercials. In 2006, ESPN even took an ownership interest in the Arena Football League that included airing its games. Around the same time, unscripted shows featuring Barry Bonds and Bobby Knight caused hand-wringing.
