The Critics Choice Association just unveiled the nominees for its 8th annual documentary awards. Topping the list is “American Symphony” with six bids, including Best Documentary, Best Director for Matthew Heineman, and notices in Cinematography, Editing, and Music Documentary. Heineman is the Oscar nominated director of “Cartel Land” from 2015. The sixth nomination for “American Symphony” is for Best Score thanks to 2022’s Grammy Award recipient for Album of the Year, Jon Batiste. You may recognize another Aoty winner in the Ccda’s lineup — Taylor Swift‘s record breaking concert movie “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” is also nominated for Music Documentary.

Footage screened: Nothing was shown during the panel, but as fans were entering the room a series of retrospective interviews were broadcast on two large screens. The edit was new, but the footage drew heavily from the BSG 30th Anniversary.

The organizers of the San Diego Comic-Con have begun to rollout the daily schedules for the upcoming event, releasing detailed itinerary’s of what’s to come on Thursday and Friday. In addition to having several noteworthy panels on Thursday, including a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles discussion with Kevin Eastman, Hasbro’s 30th anniversary event for Transformers and The Walking Dead’s 10th anniversary panel, there will also be a special panel held by TV Guide Magazine to celebrates The X-Files’ 20th anniversary!

Blood and Chrome has its television premiere tonight at 8 pm on Syfy.
The TV version will include additional footage, and the unrated cut will be available on DVD and Blu-ray on February 19. The DVD will contain about 30 minutes of deleted scenes.

Den of Geek has a new interview with Eric Stoltz that's pretty interesting to read. (Reminder: His latest episode of Private Practice airs tonight at 10 pm on ABC.)

I don't think it was what the majority of Battlestar fans wanted, for the most part. It probably would've served us all better to have not even been connected to it. (...)
It's rare to find characters so instantly complex as we got in Caprica. How do you balance the many levels of Daniel Graystone? How do you set about giving the audience a way into a character like that?...
