Lucy Boynton attempts to turn back time with David Corenswet in the first trailer for the romantic feature The Greatest Hits.
Searchlight Pictures releases director Ned Benson’s movie in select theaters April 5 before it begins streaming via Hulu on April 12. Justin H. Min and Austin Crute also star in the film that premieres at this year’s South by Southwest Festival.
The Greatest Hits follows Harriet (Boynton), who realizes that her favorite songs can literally transport her through time to revisit cherished memories with former boyfriend Max (Corenswet). In the meantime, she begins exploring feelings for a new potential love interest (Min) while grappling with whether she should alter the past.
“If something happened to you, and I could stop it, but it would mean we would never meet, would you want me to?” Boynton asks a confused Corenswet in the trailer.
Later, Boynton continues to debate her options:...

Everyone has certain notable songs in their lives that can transport you back to some sacred memories that you have kept with you. What if those songs could actually take you back in time to those memories? That’s the fresh new twist on the time travel concept in the new trailer for The Greatest Hits. Ned Benson, writer and director of The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby trilogy, once again pulls double duty for this film which stars Lucy Boynton, Justin H. Min and the new Kal-El of James Gunn’s Superman, David Corenswet.
The official plot synopsis from Searchlight Pictures reads,

With great power comes great responsibility. It’s a lesson Lucy Boynton (“Bohemian Rhapsody”) grapples with in Searchlight Pictures’ “The Greatest Hits.” The studio released the film’s trailer on Thursday, March 14, 2024.
In “The Greatest Hits,” Harriet (Boynton) finds that listening to certain songs (literally) sweeps her away to another time — like, she becomes an actual time-traveler. She is able to relive special moments with her deceased boyfriend (David Corenswet of “Pearl”), and could potentially even stop the car crash that killed him from even happening. It sounds like there’s a pretty big tradeoff, however, if she takes it to that point.
And then there’s the new guy, played by Justin H. Min (“Beef”), that she meets along the way. “Throughout her journey, Harriet explores the mesmerizing link between music and memory, facing her with difficult decisions of whether altering the past is a choice worth making,” the synopsis reads.

Stacey Silva may have undergone emergency surgery, but she wouldn’t let that stop her from using filters.
The TLC star was recently hospitalized, as previously reported by Monsters and Critics.
Stacey kept mum regarding her hospital stay, only hinting that she had undergone emergency surgery.
But Stacey’s manager, Michael London, shared that the Darcey & Stacey star was at the hospital because she underwent kidney surgery.
“Over the weekend, Stacey was in extreme pain,” Michael told In Touch, adding that Stacey’s husband, Florian Sujak, and her twin sister, Darcey Silva, “rushed her to the Emergency Room at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Florida,” where doctors performed emergency kidney surgery.
Stacey is recovering and expected to return to the hospital for “a subsequent surgery in a couple of weeks.”

“It felt like we were reconnecting after a long time,” To Leslie star Andrea Riseborough said today of working with Domhnall Gleeson on Alice & Jack, Channel 4 & PBS Masterpiece’s upcoming romantic drama that premiered at Mipcom Cannes.
Riseborough and Gleeson have worked plenty together down the years including on Never Let Me Go and Shadow Dancer, but hadn’t partnered on a project for some years until the series.
During an Alice & Jack Q&a this evening at Mipcom Cannes, chaired by Deadline’s Joe Utichi, Riseborough said it “felt like were reconnecting after a long time” and this had been obvious from the first scene that the pair did together.
“It was so catapulted and so real,” she added. “It’s strange to be both young and old with someone but I’ve done that with Domhnall and our relationship kind of reflects Alice and Jack’s meeting.

With the writers strike in its 21st week, the WGA is scheduled to resume negotiations with the AMPTP today. Also true, and perhaps not unrelated: In the last two weeks, every major Hollywood studio seemed to notice that it might be a good time to suspend a lot of very big production deals on its books.
Some suspensions began about a week into the writers guild strike. News broke September 18 that Lionsgate suspended non-writing overall deals with Paul Feig and Michael London, among others, but a source told IndieWire those suspensions happened a while back. The week prior, Disney and Apple halted agreements with top television writer/producers, a trend already reflected in moves by NBCUniversal, CBS Studios, Warner Bros. TV, Amazon Studios, and more.

Exclusive: Creatives behind Alice & Jack, which stars Domhnall Gleeson and Andrea Riseborough in the latter’s first role since the To Leslie controversy, have spotlighted how they wanted the Channel 4/Masterpiece TV series to feel like an indie film.

Andrea and Domhnall came on board after the pilot script and last episode were written – it was at this point that they met with Levin to discuss the scripts and help develop the characters during the production.

NBC has ordered the pilot for Wolf, a one-hour medical drama from writer-producer Michael Grassi, producer-director Lee Toland Krieger and executive producer Greg Berlanti. The project comes from Warner Bros Television, where all three are under overall deals.
This is the project’s third incarnation, after previously receiving a put pilot commitment at Fox in 2019 with Alex Berger to write. Krieger remains with the project from its previous iteration, and he will direct the pilot.
Wolf is inspired by the books The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat and An Anthropologist on Mars by Oliver Sacks. It follows a revolutionary, larger-than-life neurologist and his team of interns as they explore the last great frontier, the human mind, while also grappling with their own relationships and mental health.
