ng mga Artista sa Pelikulang Pilipino), in 1995.
Currently the chair of Philippines board which fights intellectual
piracy. He replaced Ramon 'Bong' Revilla Jr..
Considered running in the Philippine senatorial race in 2007. He later
backed out despite the backing of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, citing his lack of
funds to do a nationwide campaign.
Assumed the post of Philippine's videogram and
regulatory board chair (replacing Ramon 'Bong' Revilla Jr. who
is running for the senate). The job includes the drive against the
rampant proliferation of pirated movie-video in the country. (January 2004)
