Community: it’s not just a show that’s on before The Office. This week’s Office featured the Dunder-Mifflin crew coming together on a challenge to increase sales after new CEO Robert California said he wants to see them double their percentage growth this quarter, despite a little national recession.
Naturally, new boss Andy was feeling the pressure. He wanted to continue making a good first impression on Robert, so he crowd-sourced tie options in the conference room while Dwight led a meeting about a brand new heavy triangle tablet. (Side note: Awesome). The plot point I’m most thrilled about is carefree Dwight.

Poor Michael may have raked in the big bucks, but he is also now coping with a broken heart after seeing surprise footage of Holly getting engaged to Blake Julian!
Formerly engaged couple Holly Durst and Michael Stagliano pulled the ultimate win of $250,000 on the season finale of Bachelor Pad 2 on Sept. 12. But for Michael, this big win came with a huge surprise — watching scenes of Holly accept Bachelor Pad 2 competitor Blake Julian‘s actual proposal as part of the season finale!
Michael had no clue that this was going to be part of the finale until he saw the footage. “It’s a loss and a gain at the same time,” Michael tells Life & Style magazine. “It’s hard to say goodbye to somebody when you still love her.”
Holly and Michael previously got engaged in June 2010, but Holly ended it just six months later. When she decided to partner up with Michael,...

Before we jump into the finale of Bachelor Pad I would be remiss if I didn’t take a moment to honor the anniversary our country recognized this weekend. I hope every one of you took an extra moment to hug and say I love you to those closest to you as we marked the tenth anniversary of 9/11. It is my hope that we will always remember and let this moment in our history always let us keep perspective on what’s truly important in our lives.
Once again, like our premiere, the finale took up all three hours of prime time on ABC.

Michael Bublé and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, met up with a friend for lunch in Buenos Aires yesterday. They grabbed a bite to eat at Osaka Japanese restaurant and later checked out the Museum of Latin American Art during their outing in Luisana's hometown. The couple tied the knot in March, and they've been on the go ever since. Michael and Luisana honeymooned in Europe, celebrated their marriage again in Vancouver, and stopped in La during a whirlwind few months, which also included Michael and Luisana's appearance in Napa. Michael may be currently enjoying downtime with Luisana in Argentina, but he still has a busy year ahead of him. He's releasing a Christmas album and a coffee table book, will star in an NBC special in December, and will also be the special musical guest on the Dec. 17 episode of SNL, which Jimmy Fallon will host. Breaking Bad, Season Four, Episode Five: “Shotgun”
Written by Thomas Schnauz
Directed by Michelle MacLaren
-
As we approach the halfway point of Breaking Bad‘s fourth season, we finally hit upon a serious snag. Yes, it’s true that the season’s pacing has been measured to an almost perverse degree, but that’s hardly an issue when the payoff is as satisfying as the mostly-stellar second half of the show’s third season. With “Shotgun,” however, there’s finally some serious evidence of strain when it comes to the show’s plausibility in the context of the criminal universe it’s worked so hard to create.
Plotwise, there are two major advancements in “Shotgun.” One of them is logical based on character traits, and comes loaded with a satisfying dose of dramatic irony. The other? Not so much. Let’s start with the good one. Walt’s late-episode,...

The last couple of times a new female character was introduced on Burn Notice (USA Network, 9/8c) — Tricia Helfer’s “Carla,” Moon Bloodgood’s Detective Paxson — it didn’t turn out to be smooth sailing with Michael. But in Lauren Stamile’s Agent Pearce, Michael may have finally found a way back into the CIA’s good graces, if only he can get her on his side. The lady suit will be sticking around for a while — Stamile is scheduled to head to Miami to shoot her eighth episode in a few weeks — and with that comes possible answers and more complications for Michael.

Another week, another episode of The A-List: New York. And what's one of the first images we come across in this week’s episode? Why, it’s Austin and a horse's ass.
Austin and hubby Jake begin this week’s episode riding horses on a beach at the Hamptons. When the guys dismount for a romantic beach picnic, in several shots, the entire left frame is filled with Seabuscuit’s posterior. And I knew in that moment that the symbolism gods were surely smiling at me.
Austin brings Jake to the beach for a romantic picnic to show that he’s truly (sorta-kinda) sorry about the fluff he received last week. But all Jake wants to talk about is Austin’s feud with Rodiney and having a traditionally big New York wedding. Come on, Jake. Open your eyes! And after you do, Run! It’s not too late to save yourself.

After a strong storytelling based episode last week, Alphas returned this week with "Anger Management" - and it didn’t deliver as much. Thankfully, compared to the "pilot," the series is still on the upswing.
For the most part, this installment was a far more ensemble-based attempt at storytelling. A slew of characters were serviced, as their struggles and insecurities rose to the surface.
Like X-Men, the Alphas - via internal and external battles - are finding familiar faces and problems in their team members, which means the characters are finally starting to mesh and form a chemistry with one another. The personal issues they all face aren’t feeling forced, either.
Moreover, the Alpha-of-the-week was a better fit in moving the characters forward. The fact that he could control the pheromone levels of those around him and cause them to become uncontrollably violent was cool. And it provided an...

Mike and Harvey did a lot to "Bail Out" people close to them this week, while Trevor once again made life difficult for the former, placing him in harm's way - much to the consternation of Harvey, who has always discouraged Mike's continued involvement with his old pal.
It seems the fast-track to success is inevitably wrought with speed bumps.
I enjoyed this episode of Suits because it's the first time we've truly seen Harvey's interactions with longtime friend Ray. Harvey seems so much like an island it's hard to imagine him sharing mix-tapes with his driver.
I'm sure part of the reason he defended him so fervently had to do with the fact that he was also fighting for himself. His slew of objections was my favorite example of that fervent self-advocacy, but Harvey and Ray seem to genuinely share interests as well. Like music, for example.
Harvey didn't stop there.

The jury is in: USA Network has delivered another character-driven drama molded to match its diverse lineup of original summer programming.
On the Suits premiere, we meet Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), a college dropout with an extraordinary memory and a passion for the law. He teams with Gabriel Macht’s Harvey Specter, a sharp-tongued ace closer, making for an unlikely partnership between two dynamic leads.
This budding bromance, forged on witty banter and film references, can officially be added to the quirky tandems that comprise USA Network originals (Shawn/Gus on Psych, Neal/Peter on White Collar), making Mike and Harvey a must-watch addition to any primetime schedule.
So, why is Suits original? Because the title stands for a lot more than just the tailored fabric of the corporate world. Carefully and artfully, both Mike and Harvey mask their respective realities.
They way he’s dressed, you’d never...
