The fan-favorite couple, who have been married for ten years, revealed the news on Instagram on Saturday, April 27, in a joint statement, saying the decision was mutual. “Cady and Jon here. After serious consideration we have decided that our goals have been taking us in different directions and to end our marriage.” Despite the split, the statement added, “We remain friends and wish each other every happiness. General Hospital spoilers tease that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is at a bit of a crossroads at the moment. She’s made several changes over the last few weeks, some by choice and others not so much.
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) made Nina an offer to buy her half of the Metro Court and Nina accepted. She’s also accepted Drew Cain’s (Cameron Matheson) offer to return as Editor-in-Chief of Crimson Magazine.
Finally, Nina finally signed her divorce papers from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) and effectively ended her friendship with Ava Jerome (Maura West). With so many changes in her life, perhaps its time for Nina to make a clean break and leave Port Charles.

After a three-year absence, Melissa Reeves is returning to Dool as Jennifer Rose Horton for a special reason. And she’s not the only alum coming back to Salem. Keep reading for all the details.
Why Melissa Reeves Left Dool
Melissa Reeves joined the NBC soap Days of Our Lives in 1985 as Jennifer Rose Horton. Jennifer eventually paired with Jack (Matthew Ashford) to become one of the mega-popular soap super couples of the decade. Melissa Reeves played the character off-and-on before leaving the show in 2020. She said at the time that she didn’t want to travel from her home in Tennessee to California during the pandemic.
The network brought in soap vet Cady McClain, who famously played Dixie on All My Children. Melissa Reeves did make a brief appearance in 2021, but Cady McClain resumed the role in 2022 for a major storyline involving the death of Jack and Jennifer’s daughter Abigail (Marci Miller.

Fin fans should be thrilled tonight.
Law & Order: Svu Season 24 Episode 14 had everything we needed to celebrate our favorite underused cop: embarrassing speeches, a compelling case from the past, some great guest stars, including Days of Our Lives' Cady McClain, and an update on what Munch has been up to since leaving Svu.
And to top it off, Fin's celebration comes the same week that, in real life, Ice-t is getting his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The only thing that would have been better would have been a visit from Munch himself, but we can't have everything!
The promo focused on Dutch breaking into Fin's house. I'm glad that was only a tiny part of the hour; there have been too many cop-taken-hostage stories over the years.
Most of those stories featured Benson as the victim, but still. Dutch's break-in led to a more interesting...

Cady McClain is best known to Days of Our Lives fans as the recast version of Jennifer Horton, but she's a veteran of the soap opera world.
She also recently had the opportunity to guest star on Law & Order: Svu Season 24 Episode 13, where she plays a very different type of character.
We recently chatted with Cady about the two roles, their differences, and her career in the soap world. Read on to get to know her!
It seems like the timing is great. Your appearance on Days of Our Lives started this week, and your appearance on Svu airs this Thursday.
Isn't that wild? I did not plan that. But that's the way the universe is working this week for me.
Awesome! So I know Days of Our Lives tapes very far in advance. How far in advance did you tape your guest appearance on Svu?

The explosion at Susan's memorial led to no fatalities but brought Nicole and Ej closer and led to Ava's mental meltdown. Eric devised an extreme plan to thwart Kristen. And after all that, we still enjoyed a Horton Family Christmas.
Our TV Fanatics, Jack and Christine, are joined by Silvananoir from My Hourglass, a Days of Our Lives fan forum, to debate the explosion aftermath, if Ava's faking it, who has the best kid in Salem, and if they enjoyed their Horton holiday this week on Days of Our Lives.

Silvananoir: 7. I enjoyed it a lot, but without Missy, something was missing. Don't get me wrong, I love Cady McClain, and she's doing a great job. But Missy will always be Jennifer; without her, the Horton Family Christmas didn't hit me quite the same way.

Losing a child is one of the hardest things anyone can ever go through.
Although Jennifer's been down this road before with Abigail's fake death, Abby is gone for real this time, and her mother can't handle the heartbreak.
But did Jennifer go too far on Days of Our Lives during the week of 9-26-22 when she drove drugged and ran over Gwen?
The writers have done a grave injustice by bringing viewers in only for the tail end of Jennifer's drug relapse. Her decision to get her hands on painkillers, her efforts to do it, and her growing addiction to them were all off-screen.
All we got was one scene where Maggie tried to get her to throw away the pills and took her to a meeting. We then quickly shifted to Gwen's discovery of the drugs, and even that was short-lived as Gwen waited all of...

Days of our Lives spoilers for next week’s episodes of the hit Peacock soap opera tease so much chaos erupting in Salem.
As fall kicks off, big things are happening on the daytime drama, and November sweeps are right around the corner.
One hot-button storyline involves Orpheus (George DelHoyo) injecting Kate (Lauren Koslow), Marlena (Deidre Hall), and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans).
Things take a turn next week. Rex (Kyle Lowder) returns to town with an answer that might save his mother but not Kayla or Marlena. It sounds like Orpheus poisoned them with different deadly toxins, which is not surprising.
Meanwhile, Stephanie (Abigail Klein) is livid that Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla kept her out of the loop.
That’s just a glimpse of what’s going down in Salem. Let’s take a look at the other must-see Days moments for next week.

It was a sad day as Eli and Lani, Salem's only persons of color super couple, left town.
Yes, Salem still has Abe and Paulina, but I don't put them on the same level as #Elani. These two fought through lies, Gabi's manipulations, Kristen's drama, and the loss of a child to finally end up together.
Admittedly, Lani and Eli haven't always been my favorite couple. I enjoyed Eli from the moment he hit town, but Lani was another story. Her character was questionable at best when she first arrived in Salem. Remember her icky hookup with JJ?
But she's developed into a heroine we could root for and half of a happy power couple that's been fun to watch.
That's what makes it so difficult to lose them. They had careers. They had children. They had extended family that they loved but could make them crazy. But if the...

It's going to be a heartbreaking week in Salem.
A barely-alive Abigail dies in Chad's arms, hours after the two tried for a third baby and joked about the possibility of having twins.
Spoilers for Days of Our Lives during the week of 6-13-22 suggest that grief will take a back seat only to finding out who killed Abby as a new murder mystery heats up.
Abigail's death is going to be painful, especially for her family.
It's only been about 16 months since they buried Laura, and Gwen may have been involved in both deaths.

If so, Gwen has likely signed her death warrant. The Hortons might not go for revenge, but Chad's a Dimera, and Xander has more than one score to settle with her now.
There is no shortage of revenge plots in Salem, but...

Abigail was attacked! Jan gave birth to her and Shawn's baby. Belle kissed Ej again while Allie and Johnny tried to win back Chanel.
Our TV Fanatics, Jack and Christine, are joined by Mikey from MyHourglass, a Days of Our Lives fan forum, to debate who attacked Abigail, who Chanel should choose, if Jan's baby will survive, and their biggest pet peeve in Salem!
Who do you think attacked Abigail?
Mikey: I don't think it was actually any of the suspects we saw in that final montage. I expect a clever ("clever") reveal of the true killer's identity, much like we had all those suspects in Charlie's murder.
It turned out to be Jan, who'd come out of her coma long enough to commit a murder before going back into hibernation.
Jack: I hate to say it, but I think it's Sarah. Marlena made a point of telling Sarah to...

Soap veteran Cady McClain this past weekend won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series. She earned it for her recurring role as Jennifer Horton-Deveraux on NBC’s Days of Our Lives. It was McClain’s third Daytime Emmy win, following 2004 Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series trophy for her role as Rosanna Cabot on CBS’ As the World Turns and Outstanding Juvenile Female in a Drama Series Emmy in 1990 for playing Dixie Cooney/Dixie Martin on ABC’ All My Children.
With the new win, McClain has become the first female performer to nab Daytime Emmys for three different series — which also happen to be on three different networks and span three decades.
McClain’s résumé also includes a major role as Kelly Andrews on CBS’ The Young and the Restless.

Cady McClain is a soap opera veteran, and now she could collect her third Daytime Emmy in her third different category for her third different soap on a third different network. As of this writing she’s the front-runner for Best Guest Performer for temporarily stepping in as Jennifer Horton on NBC’s “Days of Our Lives,” a role that had been made famous by Melissa Reeves.
McClain is probably best known for her role on ABC’s “All My Children” as Dixie Cooney, for which she earned three Emmy nominations, winning on her first try: Best Younger Actress in 1990. She immediately followed that with another much-loved character: she assumed the role of Rosanna Cabot on CBS’s “As the World Turns” in 2002, for which she received two more Emmy nominations, winning Best Supporting Actress in 2004. She went back and forth between her roles on “AMC” and “Atwt” until both...
