The Bob of "Bob's Burgers" (H. Jon Benjamin) is something of a sad sack — a small business owner who often finds himself teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. Despite his perpetual exhaustion, he finds time to invent new hamburger recipes, and his restaurant often displays his latest cleverly named entrée. He has a wife named Linda (John Roberts) who is relentlessly upbeat, and always eager to help others, even if her ideas often skew odd. Their daughter Tina (Dan Mintz) is stone-faced but secretly burns with lust for her junior high classmates ... and zombies. Their son Gene (Eugene Mirman) rotates through bizarre obsessions like they're pieces of gum, and their youngest, Louise (Kristen Schaal), has taken the role of the clan's precocious leader and is never seen without her pink hat with bunny ears.
They are unusual people, the Belcher family. They often bicker and not a day goes by without one of them screaming.

The invitation is extravagant: sturdy paper, elegant typeface, a hint of rosemary perfume. On it a generous request, although to Alice (Kristen Bell) and Paul (Ben Platt), it reads as a threat: The pleasure of their company? To celebrate the marriage of their rich half-sister, Eloise (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) to her equally wealthy fiancé Ollie (House of the Dragon’s John MacMillan)? “It would be an honor to have you there,” says the accompanying handwritten note. Alice and Paul — fierce in their disdain for their estranged sibling, dramatic in their expressions — would rather set themselves on fire.
But they won’t. They will fly to London, where Eloise lives, and attend the wedding. They will acknowledge their sibling’s nuptials and make small talk with her future in-laws. They will show up in the most literal sense of the phrase, but they certainly won’t be happy about it.

Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin, Wendy Molyneux, and Minty Lewis made something special with "The Great North," an animated sitcom about the adventures of Tobin family from Lone Moose, Alaska. Patriarch Beef Tobin (Nick Offerman) is a single dad raising his children Ham (Paul Rust), Judy (Jenny Slate), and Moon (Aparna Nancherla), while his adult son Wolf (Will Forte) and his wife Honeybee (Dulcé Sloan) live in the guest house on site. With teenage Judy coming of age without the presence of her mother, who left the family years ago, she looks for a feminine guidance from an unlikely source -- her imaginary friend in the stars, Alanis Morissette.
Late at night, Judy often sits on the roof and talks to a sentient constellation in the form of the "Jagged Little Pill" scribe, who is also voiced by the actual Alanis Morissette. "Because she is such a musical legend, people forget that she's really funny,...

Long rumored — or perhaps “long threatened” is more accurate — and finally here: Michael “Riverdance” Flatley’s Blackbird has landed in UK and Irish cinemas.
Sometimes it’s really tough to pin down who is responsible for a movie so inept that your mind boggles at the state of it. A competent director can be failed by mediocre actors. Wonderful actors can be failed by a terrible script. A great script can be failed by everyone. Filmmaking is a team sport, a film the culmination of the efforts of so many people with very different jobs and so many moving parts that must work well in concert that often who is to blame when it completely and utterly fails to gel is difficult to say.
Not so with Flatley’s pabulum opus. This is all on him: he wrote it, directed it, produced it, financed it himself from his prodigious fortune,...
