- Yvonne Moray was called a smaller version of Greta Garbo by her friends in the cast of The Wizard of Oz (1939). Garbo herself knew of this, but remained typically laconic about whether she agreed.
- During the 1950s, she performed regularly as a comedienne and singer at clubs such as mobster Larry Potter's Supper Club, a swank venue at 11345 Ventura Boulevard in North Hollywood, and The Palm House Supper Club in Palm Springs. She was advertised variously as "38 Inches of Personality", "The Biggest Little Star Today", and "42 Inches of Dynamite".
