- Her nickname, "Chachita", was accidentally introduced during her second feature film, ¡Ay Jalisco... no te rajes! (1941), when the director and producer, Ismael Rodriguez, not being able to remember her given name, started to refer to her as "Muchachita"; (A term of endearment meaning "little girl"), which then was shortened to only "Chachita".
- At the age of 8, while promoting her film La hija del payaso (1946), in which she played an elephant tamer, she actually learned to be an elephant and dog trainer, to play the marimba and the xylophone.
- Acting in the new season of "Sesame Street" in Mexico (June 2001)
