Say what you will of the Netflix era of "Black Mirror," but there's at least one episode everyone agrees is pretty great. "USS Callister," the season 4 premiere centered around a guy who reveals his ugly side in his own personal VR video game, is a clear fan favorite. What made it so good? Well, there's the way it gives us the usual final act twist surprisingly early on, revealing that it's Nanette (Cristin Milioti) who's our actual, far-more-likeable protagonist. Then there's the way the episode's main setting, a "Star Trek"-inspired virtual reality world that the characters are left to explore, leads to so many more storytelling opportunities ahead of them. (That's why the news that the episode's getting a sequel shouldn't be too surprising.)
But the main appeal of "USS Callister" is just how emotionally resonant its main plot point is. Seemingly nice guy Robert Daly is gradually revealed...

Last year, Frasier Crane returned to TV screens in the "Frasier" revival series. While it struggled to capture the magic of the original series, "Frasier" 2023 certainly had some high points. The festive season finale was one of the better Christmas episodes, and the show handled the passing of Martin Crane actor John Mahoney beautifully. Then there were the guest stars, which included actress Peri Gilpin, who played Frasier's producer on the original sitcom, and Bebe Neuwirth, who played Lilith Sternin on both "Frasier" and "Cheers."
Lilith debuted in the 1986 "Cheers" episode "Second Time Around," becoming a series regular and eventually starting a relationship with Kelsey Grammer's Frasier before the pair got married. By the end of the series they had broken up, and when "Frasier" debuted in 1993 the titular doctor had moved to Seattle while Lilith stayed in Boston with her and her ex-husband's son, Freddy. Still, Lilith remained...

Charlie Brooker’s beloved sci-fi anthology Black Mirror has never been particularly urgent when it comes to producing new seasons. Since Netflix acquired the series after its first two seasons aired on Channel 4, fresh dispatches from Brooker’s dystopian universe have arrived on an irregular basis. In fact, the wait between season 5 and the most recent season 6 was a staggering (and Covid-assisted) four years. It looks like that’s all about to change, however.
Just nine months after the aforementioned Black Mirror season 6 premiered, Netflix has announced Black Mirror season 7. Not only that, but the seventh season is going to break ground for the franchise in one major way. Check out the official teaser below to see if you spot what we’re referring to:

Attention, space cadets: Black Mirror is coming back to creep you out again — and it’s bringing back a familiar story, too.
Netflix’s sci-fi anthology will return to for Season 7 in 2025, the streamer announced on Thursday, and the six-episode season will include an installment that returns to the world of Season 4’s space adventure “USS Callister.” A new teaser features the familiar Black Mirror loading page along with six symbols — including one that matches the insignia of the Callister spaceship. Leaping from the slightly longer February into March, Netflix is welcoming in the new month with big series premieres, special live events, comedy specials, and films to binge at any time!
Coming to the streamer this month, “Girls5eva” will also make its debut after being rescued by the streamer from Peacock cancelation. Both existing seasons of the hit comedy and the all-new third season will premiere on the platform mid-month. Plus, wind down and whet your appetite with new seasons of the hit competition series “Blown Away” and “Is It Cake?,” premiering on March 8 and 29, respectively.
Maybe Netflix’s biggest premiere this month, though, is the highly anticipated limited series adaptation of Cixin Liu’s internationally celebrated “The Three-Body Problem” trilogy from David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, and Alexander Woo. Benedict Wong, Jess Hong, John Bradley, Sir Jonathan Pryce, Liam Cunningham, and more lead the cast of the sci-fi drama, which...

At long last, we have some semblance of what Station 19‘s farewell run — or at least the first hour of it — will look like.
Just weeks away from the first-responders drama’s Season 7 premiere (Thursday, March 14, at 10/9c on ABC), TVLine has gotten its hands on an actual synopsis for that first episode, titled “This Woman’s Work” (presumably a tip of the helmet to the Kate Bush song of that same name).

Based on Gold Derby’s odds, one of the absolute tightest 2023 Creative Arts Emmy races involves Best Variety Special Writing contenders Chris Rock and John Mulaney, both of whom have previously conquered the category and are now facing off for the first time ever. Having both pushed their comedy to new levels of boldness in their respective Netflix specials “Selective Outrage” and “Baby J,” they provide voters with a truly tough choice when it comes to honoring the most impressive writing of the year.
This contest is made even more interesting by the fact that Rock and Wanda Sykes (“I’m an Entertainer”) are competing against each other after jointly earning four writing nominations and one win for “The Chris Rock Show” over two decades ago. Also included in this lineup are the sketch comedy special “Would It Kill You to Laugh?” and the career retrospective “Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love....
