Can we all agree that “Spice Girls” are unbreakable? Because since the formation of the girl band music group in 1994 that consists of five young women and even after they unofficially disbanded and moved on to achieve greater things, they still kept in contact with each other and still shared a bond that not even distance could break.
Last month, a member of the girl group Mel B otherwise known as Melanie Brown aka “Scary Spice” revealed during an appearance on “Tamron Hall” that the group is planning a reunion to celebrate their 30 years anniversary.
The “I Want You Back” singer said, “I’m gonna make it happen. It’s my life and I love being a Spice Girl… I mean us five have been talking together, and we are gonna announce something pretty soon. That’s all I can say.”

Embattled daytime show “This Morning” is advertising for a new producer.
The job, which pays £40,000 to £50,000 per year, is unrelated to the recent fall-out from the Phillip Schofield scandal. “It’s to replace someone who was promoted and has been live for some weeks,” says a source.
ITV is looking for a producer who “thrives on the buzz” of live television and has an “abundance of ideas” to support anchor Holly Willoughby and guest hosts including Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond, according to the job description, which is currently live on LinkedIn.
“This Morning” was rocked by the resignation of Willoughby’s longtime co-host Phillip Schofield last month, following tension between the two anchors. Schofield subsequently revealed that he had had an affair with a young runner on the show, whom he’d known since the runner was a teenager.

“This Morning” anchor Holly Willoughby has returned to the show after a two-week absence following the resignation of her long-time co-host Phillip Schofield.
She was joined by guest anchor Josie Gibson.
Willoughby began the show by addressing the controversy that has been swirling over the last few weeks, ever since Schofield, who is married with two children, admitted he had had an affair with a young “This Morning” employee.
“Firstly, are you Ok? I hope so,” Willoughby told viewers. “It feels very strange indeed sitting here without Phil. And I imagine you might be feeling a lot like I have: shaken, troubled, let down. Worried for the wellbeing on all sides of what’s been going up. And full of questions. Back in February 2020, Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, the married couple who on Fridays presented long-running British morning magazine show This Morning, were the first to hug co-presenter Phillip Schofield live on air after he came out as gay to viewers, with the support of his co-presenter Holly Willoughby, all pictured.
Three years later and it’s a very different story, with Holmes blasting Schofield on social media, calling him “delusional” for claiming there to be no toxicity behind the scenes of ITV’s most important daytime show.
The ping-pong of conflicting accounts has been keeping entertainment journalists in the UK busy since Friday May 12, when Schofield stepped down from his role as the program’s lead presenter after 21 years at the helm. At the time, a rumored broken friendship with Willoughby was commonly cited as the reason, with ITV bosses praising him and saying he would continue to host other shows on the channel.

Updated: ITV presenter Phillip Schofield has been dropped by his agents at Ymu Group.
The parting of ways with Ymu comes as Schofield confirmed to the Daily Mail that he had an affair with a younger male staffer at ITV while he was still married. (The presenter came out as gay in February 2020 and is now estranged from his wife.) He has now resigned from ITV “with immediate effect” and has also pulled out of hosting the British Soap Awards in June.
In a lengthy statement, Schofield said: “Contrary to speculation, whilst I met the man when he was a teenager and was asked to help him to get into television, it was only after he started to work on the show that it became more than just a friendship. That relationship was unwise, but not illegal. It is now over.”
Ymu confirmed to Variety on Friday that it has “parted company” with Schofield,...

It’s a real study that Gareth cites in his call to Dermot O’Leary’s radio show. Published in the British Medical Journal in 1993, Scanlon, Luben, Scanlon and Singleton asked the question “Is Friday the 13th bad for your health?” Yes, was their conclusion, due to an increased risk of hospital admission as a result of transport accidents. “Staying at home is recommended.”
Trust the writers of Inside No. 9 – a show where dark fates lurk around every corner – to devise a scheme whereby a character takes the precautionary measure of staying at home on Friday the 13th, only for their wife to be killed in a transport accident right outside their front door on Saturday the 14th. Holly Willoughby has announced she may be absent from This Morning this week due to illness.
The ITV presenter warned fans on Sunday (16 April) that viewers may not see her on the next coming episodes of This Morning because she is sick with Shingles.
“Hi, just to let you know, I may be away for the rest of the week as I have shingles,” Willoughby wrote on her Instagram Story.
“I’ll be back as soon as I’m better. Huge love.”
Shingles is a painful condition caused by the same virus as chickenpox. While it is most common in older people, a person of any age can suffer from it.
Willoughby, 42, hosts the daytime programme alongside Phillip Schofield from Monday to Thursday, with Alison Hammon and Dermot O’Leary stepping in to present every Friday.
It has not been announced who will be covering Willoughby if she is absent from this week’s episodes.

Russell Crowe has opened up about Gladiator 2, and shared the sequel idea he considered returning as Maximus for.
The Kiwi actor played the character in the 2000 historical epic, which was directed by Ridley Scott.
Scott will next direct a sequel to the film, which will not feature Crowe, 59. Instead, the film will focus on Lucius, the son of Connie Nielsen’s Lucilla and the nephew of Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix), who will reportedly being played by Paul Mescal.
While promoting his new film The Pope’s Exorcist, Crowe has repeatedly told reporters he will not be in the new film – but did admit to Collider: “I mean, look, the only thing that I really feel about it is slightly jealous, you know?”
Explaining why, he added: “Because I was a much younger man, obviously, and it was a huge experience in my life. It’s something that changed my life, really.

Dermot O’Leary has shared what fans have dubbed a “disappointing” response to the backlash over This Morning‘s segment on singing along at musicals.

Hannah Waddingham has proffered her own theory about why UK viewers aren’t so keen on Ted Lasso.
The actor stars opposite Jason Sudeikis in Apple TV+’s series about an American college football coach who takes over as the manager of AFC Richmond, a struggling Premier League team in the UK.
Waddingham appeared on This Morning on Friday (31 March), with host Dermot O’Leary saying that the show is “about football, but it’s not really about football”.
“I’m so glad you said that, because I wonder sometimes if British audiences don’t watch it because they think it’s about football,” Waddingham theorised.
“But it’s actually about very much the human condition that we find through comedy, all the ridiculous things about ourselves, with the backdrop of football. A brilliant backdrop of football, but it’s about all of us supporting each other.

Alison Hammond’s role as the new co-host of The Great British Bake Off is just, if you’ll pardon the pun, the icing on the cake of a 21-year screen career, which has been filled with some of the most hilarious and surreal moments ever committed to television.
The Birmingham-born star has, over the decades, knocked a sailor into the Thames, had Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling in fits of giggles, and joined forces with Ainsley Harriott to terrorise a woman called Jill in her living room.
Those are just a few of the chaotic moments Hammond has given us, which you can read about below, along with many more…

The presenter would join Noel Fielding at the helm of the much-loved baking competition show, following the departure of Matt Lucas.
The Mirror exclusively reported the news on Thursday (16 March), citing sources.

Paul O’Grady has expressed his “disappointment” with BBC Radio 2, saying “it’s not what it was”.
The broadcaster’s comments come after the news that veteran DJ Ken Bruce was leaving the station after 45 years to go to Greatest Hits Radio.
InJanuary, when Bruce announced his departure, former Radio 2 DJ Vanessa feltz accused the BBC of “ageism”.
Now, O’Grady, who left Radio 2 in 2021 after being asked to share his slot with comedian Rob Beckett, has explained the motivation behind his decision.
“I was disappointed, because I’m a great believer in continuity,” he told Metro.co.uk, adding: “If you go off for 13 weeks and somebody else comes on, the listeners don’t know when you’re back on.”
He continued: “Radio 2 has changed; it’s not what it was. They’re trying to aim for a much younger audience, which doesn’t make sense because you’ve got Radio 1.

Ken Bruce has claimed that BBC bosses have hastened his exit from Radio 2.
Last month, Bruce announced he would leave the corporation after 45 years to host a show on commercial rival, Greatest Hits Radio.
The veteran presenter, 72, has been on the BBC station since 1984, but told listeners in January: “I’ve done everything it is possible to do at Radio 2.”
He has hosted the 9:30am to 12pm weekday show since 1990, and been with the BBC since 1977 when he started out as a presenter on Radio Scotland.
His decision comes after Steve Wright was nudged out his Radio 2 afternoon slot, with Simon Mayo, Graham Norton and Paul O’Grady also moving on in recent months.
“I would stress that this is entirely my decision,” he said at the time. “I will always be very proud of my association with the BBC and Radio 2.”
But in a new tweet posted on Friday 24 February,...

Eamonn Holmes has expressed his frustration about his treatment in the media landscape as a “white man in his sixties” in a new interview.

Speaking about his exit from his Radio 5 programme in 2009, Holmes, 63, claimed that while his listenership ratings were “excellent”, an executive told him that the show was “attracting the wrong type of people”, and that they were pursuing a younger audience.
“You’re attracting older people, and we don’t want that,” Holmes claims he was told during a meeting with a production boss.

Unbeknownst to Ellen, secret cameras were placed inside a London café where they were having breakfast.

Lorraine Kelly has been sharing a list of her favourite guests of 2022.
As the year draws to a close, the host of ITV morning TV staple Lorraine has spent this week’s editions of the show looking back on some highlights from the past 12 months.
Among the guests featured on Wednesday (28 December) were former prime minister Theresa May, Davina McCall, Steve Carell and Louis Tomlinson.

Dish, the hit podcast hosted by Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett, will be getting extra social for the festive season as the presenting duo escape the studio and cosy up at Grimmy’s own home, where some special guests have been invited round for Christmas food, drink and laughs.
In a series of episodes, Hugh Bonneville, Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond, and Annie Mac will all settle down for a fireside chat, while Michelin star chef Angela Hartnett cooks and Grimshaw serves up the drinks. The hosts’ warm reception and sense of humour make Dish the most hospitable and social show on the planet.
Dish takes a pioneering approach to turning podcasts into a social event: it’s recorded like a podcast, shot for Instagram and edited for TikTok. As a result, it’s had 20 weeks at number one on Apple’s food podcast chart and is regularly in the top 20 Apple shows.

Kate Hudson is a band-aid no more – it’s time to actually join the band. The 43-year-old actor has just revealed that she’s going to be releasing her first ever album next year.
Back in 2000, Hudson got her breakthrough role aged 19 as the precocious Penny Lane in Cameron Crowe’s cult classic, Almost Famous, earning a Golden Globe in the process.
Now, she’s reunited with co-star Jimmy Fallon, who appeared as slimy band manager Dennis Hope, to talk about her plans to start a music career of her own.
Speaking on The Tonight Show on Monday (12 December), Hudson said that she’d been inspired to record music during the pandemic while having a bit of a Yolo moment.
Apparently she’s been singing since she was a teenager, but had never dared to officially “share” anything, until now.

A new scheme will launch in London next year to offer free cultural activities for those struggling with the cost of living.
The Ticket Bank will act as the cultural equivalent of food banks, aimed at helping those with low incomes to access music, theatre, comedy and dance.
The scheme will work by offering around 1000 unsold tickets per week for events across London to those who can’t afford to purchase them.
To find those who need access to low-cost tickets, the scheme will partner with organisations such as Centrepoint and the Trussell Trust which runs UK food banks.
Launching in January, tickets will be available for free or as a “pay what you can” type variation.
“Art is a human right. And the tighter things get with people’s finances, the more they will be squeezed out of art,” said Chris Sonnex, the man behind the new scheme, in an interview with The Guardian.

The music executive created the long-running talent competition in 2004 and sat as a judge and mentor for 12 of its 15 seasons.

Despite this, fans of The X Factor have been holding out hope for its eventual return.

“People keep asking me about the show – ‘are you going to bring it back?’” he began, before pointing out the prevalence of new music in the age of social media and streaming. “100,000 new songs are uploaded every day at the moment.
“It’s good but it’s also difficult. I believe you’ve got to get to know somebody.”

Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond couldn’t hold back the tears on This Morning after Gok Wan’s 14-year-old cousin revealed she is now “leukaemia free”.
Alyssa, who is the stylist’s cousin’s daughter, was diagnosed with cancer a year and a half ago.
Appearing on the show on Wednesday (14 December) with her mother and Wan, Alyssa shared the news of her recovery aided by an experimental treatment.
It involved inputting specially engineered cells into her body to attack and overwhelm the cancerous cells, and was the first time it had been used for this type of leukaemia.
O’Leary was keen to express how impressed he was by Alyssa’s maturity and bravery, and quoted her previous statement of wanting to make a difference by talking about her health journey.
In response, Alyssa agreed with her previous comments. “I just wanted to make a difference,” she echoed, adding:...

Bill Nighy has predicted that a famous quote from the 2003 romcomLove Actuallywill be at the top of his obituary one day.
In the hit Richard Curtis movie, Nighy played ageing rocker Billy Mack, who has a penchant for hard-partying, promiscuity and drugs.
Speaking on ITV’s This Morning on Friday (11 November), Nighy reflected on the scene where Billy says to a TV camera: “Hiya kids. Here is an important message from your Uncle Bill. Don’t buy drugs. Become a pop star, and they give you them for free!”
“If I get an obituary, that will be on it,” Nighy, 72, told hosts Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond. “Kids used to run after me in my district, shouting that line.”
He also told the presenters he will “never be sick of people talking about Love Actually”, adding: “It was a big and important thing for me and changed the way I went to work.
