- Wim Opbrouck was born on February 5, 1969 in Bavikhove, Flanders, Belgium. He is an actor and writer, known for Café Derby (2015), Cobain (2018) and Windkracht 10 (1997).
- Lives in Harelbeke, Belgium.
- In 1997 he performed in a 12-hour theater marathon production of Ten oorlog by Tom Lanoye. Following the merger of this company with KNS (Antwerp), he became an actor at the Drama House. He took on large roles in Aars!, Leenane Trilogy, L. King of Pain, and Macbeth.
- In 2010 he succeed John Simons as artistic director of NTGent. He ended that job in 2015.
- In addition to his work as an actor, he also plays the occasional group The Dolfijntjes. With them sings and plays accordion.
