- Supervised the expansion of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles (USC) in 1961 and designed many of the buildings therein.
- Buildings designed by Pereira include the Transamerica Pyramid in San Francisco, Crocker Bank building and Pacific Financial Center in Los Angeles, Mutual Benefit Life tower in Cincinatti, Disneyland Hotel and Howard Johnson Inn in Anaheim, The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, CBS Television Studios in Los Angeles, and the UC San Diego Library Tower.
- (c. 1955) Designed the Los Angeles International Airport (with Charles Luckman) (1960-1965) Designed the master plan for the Irvine Ranch in central Orange County, California, which became the University of California, Irvine, and the surrounding cities of Irvine and Newport Beach. (1975) Designed the master plan and layout of the city of Doha, Qatar.
