Actress Michelle Yeoh finally tied the knot with her fiancé of 19 years, ex-Ferrari CEO Jean Todt. And among the featured guests was her Academy Award.
Yeoh and Todt married Thurday in Geneva, Switzerland, according to an instagram post by one of their guests, Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa. The post included the wedding program and pictures from the nuptials, including one in which Yeoh held up her Best Actress Oscar for “Everything Everywhere All at Once.”
According to the program, the duo met in Shanghai in June 2004 and were engaged about a month later in July 2004. A whirlwind love affair to be sure, the couple made up for that by waiting nearly two decades to actually tie the knot.

Oscar winner and "Everything Everywhere All at Once" star Michelle Yeoh celebrated at the Academy Awards on March 12 with her longtime boyfriend, Jean Todt, by her side. The pair posed for photos together before the event, and Todt sat beside her as they applauded the movie's many successes. "Everything Everywhere All at Once" was nominated for 11 awards at the show, and it won a whopping seven, including best picture and best actress for Yeoh. It was the first time the 60-year-old actress was nominated. After the ceremony, Yeoh posted a sweet photo of herself and Todt posing with her Oscar on Instagram. The duo also attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party together.
Yeoh and Todt, 77, started dating back in 2004. At the time, Todt was the general manager and CEO of Scuderia Ferrari, Ferrari's racing division. He later became the head of Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, aka Fia, the governing body...

I waited a long time for this,” Michelle Yeoh told me back in May last year, visibly emotional as she spoke. The revered doyenne of Asian cinema and stunt legend was speaking about recognition in general, which after decades in the industry, she was finally receiving in abundance thanks to her leading role in Everything Everywhere All At Once. There’s a good chance the Oscars were hardly on her mind then. The film and Yeoh were fantastic, but it was assumed that its early release meant Eeao would be forgotten come awards season.
And yet here we are, post-Oscars 2023, and the eccentric, unlikely comedy-drama has managed to dominate the ceremony. Thanks to Eeao, Yeoh has garnered praise and, in the past few months, some shiny trophies, too. She has picked up a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award for her performance. Michelle Yeoh never imagined a path for herself that would lead to her mind-bending performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once, the film that has made her Oscar’s first Best Actress nominee openly of Southeast Asian descent and that has earned her SAG’s Best Actress prize, among other accolades. After a lifetime spent breaking down barriers, she tells Joe Utichi how it feels to have at last been invited to the ball.

In the midst of her Oscar campaign, and with a lot of people consequently discovering or rediscovering her earlier work, there’s not a whole lot left to say about Michelle Yeoh. However, Eureka’s perfectly timed releases of her early classics are definitely the best way to newly appreciate Yeoh, prior to the almost regal bearing she now brings to her projects.
Magnificent Warriors was the penultimate film of Yeoh’s short early run, before she took a break from the screen during her marriage to producer Dickson Poon, making a post-divorce comeback in Police Story 3. This early run is exceptional, also including starring roles in Yes Madam and its sequel Royal Warriors, but Magnificent Warriors may be the best of them, and one of her finest films full stop.

Everything Everywhere All at Once. Courtesy of A24.In an interview with Donna Chu of the Hong Kong Film Archive in 1999, Michelle Yeoh said, “Nowadays, when people hear that Michelle Yeoh is in a film, they will immediately think it is an action film. I hope in the future it will be different, and I can present a variety of faces of myself to the audience. But right now I'm very proud of myself for what I've done, creating a niche for myself in action films, because I've worked very hard to achieve this. I really treasure this status and do not take it lightly. But as an actor, you just want to try to act in different styles, and pursue being in different genres of films.”1The twenty plus years since then have seen Yeoh accomplish exactly that, as she is now internationally famous not just as a star of action films,...

Within movies, there are formulas that you will expect to be followed. So, if one begins with a couple in a relationship then it is highly likely at some point during the running time they will break up. If it’s a romantic comedy, then ninety-nine times out of a hundred this will result in a happy resolution come the final credits. This takes us to “Heart Against Hearts” and begins with Alex and Judy happily engaged……hmm am I detecting some déjà vu here? I wonder what could possibly happen here and should I have reviewed “Heart into Hearts” as well and just copy the review in a post-modern criticism of sequels that are rehashing the plot of the first one?

After the events of “Heart into Hearts”, Alex (George Lam) and Judy (Carol Cheng) finally get married and Alex has taken over the business.

Taking care of his royal duties, Prince William showed up at the University of Oxford on Monday (September 8) for the opening of The Dickson Poon China Centre.
During his tour of the facilities, the handsome heir was greeted by a little girl who gave him a bouquet of flowers to congratulate him and his wife Kate Middleton who just announced their pregnancy.
William “asked if the flowers were for Kate and we said, ‘Yes they are,” shared the child’s father, adding that the Prince is “thrilled” about baby number 2.
Unfortunately, the Duchess of Cambridge has been having “a difficult few days” with acute morning sickness and has cancelled all public appearances for the time being.

Prince William says he and wife Kate are "immensely thrilled" at the news they are expecting a second child.
