- Anna Quayle's father was the English stage actor Douglas Quayle (né John Douglas Bewick Quay), with no relation to the British actor Anthony Quayle. She was also the elder sister of actor John Quayle.

- In 2012, Quayle was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia; she died on August 16, 2019 at the age of 86.
