Tony Grider, a 16-year veteran Campbellsville, Ky., fire department died on Saturday, following an accident overseeing an Als Ice Bucket Challenge stunt. Grider, along with fellow firefighters Steve Marrs, Simon Quinn and Alex Johnson were badly burned when water made contact with an open power line. Grider and Quinn were inside a large bucket off a ladder, controlling the fall of the ice water onto the volunteering college students who taped the incident to raise money for Lou Gehrig’s disease research. As the crowd began to disperse, the ladder end up moving, coming within a few feet of a power line. The energy that surrounds the wire was high enough and the bucket was close enough to make contact, shocking both Grider and Quinn.

Campbellsville Fire Chief Kyle Smith says 41-year-old Tony Grider died Saturday. Grider was a captain with the department. On Aug. 21, he and 22-year-old firefighter Simon Quinn were on the fire truck's ladder when it got too close to a power line after dumping water on Campbellsville University's marching band as part of the charity stunt to raise awareness for Als. Quinn was released from the hospital Sept. 15. Two other firefighters were injured, but they were released from the hospital.

Power to the Pixel (PttP) has named the 30 cross-media projects from around the world selected to take part in The Pixel Market 2013 (Oct 16-17), the finance and co-production market held during the Cross-Media Forum (Oct 15-18) in association with the BFI London Film Festival.
Eight titles have been selected to compete for the Arte International Prize for The Pixel Pitch, an award of €6,000 ($8,100), announced at a ceremony on Oct 17. The titles include:
