With The CW releasing its primetime schedule for next season on Thursday, what really caught our eye is what shows are not on it.
Veteran scripted series Walker, All American and All American: Homecoming are nowhere to be found on The CW’s fall lineup and aren’t confirmed as coming back at midseason, either, leading us to wonder if they’ll be coming back at all. (All three series have yet to be officially renewed.)

The future is not looking bright for Raven’s Home, which has officially been cancelled by Disney Channel after six seasons, our sister site Deadline reports.
A continuation of That’s So Raven, which aired on Disney Channel from 2003 to 2007, Raven’s Home reunited viewers with the sitcom’s titular psychic (played by Raven-Symoné), who was now the mother of twins — including a son Booker (Issac Ryan Brown), who has clairvoyant powers of his own. Set in Chicago for its first four seasons, Raven’s Home ultimately relocated back to San Francisco (aka the original setting of That’s So Raven) for the remainder of its run.

Exclusive: Raven-Symoné is extending her relationship with Disney, which she has called home for many years, with a new multi-year overall deal at Disney Branded Television. Under the pact, she will produce, direct, and develop projects across linear and streaming, with a focus on multi-cam comedies.
First off, she will executive produce and direct sitcom Alice in the Palace, which has received a pilot order. It is an Alice-centered spinoff from Raven-Symoné’s Disney Channel multi-camera comedy series Raven’s Home, which will not return for a seventh season. Its most recent Season 6 concluded its run in September 2023.
The deal with Raven-Symoné, which also includes continued acting and hosting opportunities, and the order for Alice in the Palace fits into Disney Branded Television’s strategy of building a new Disney Channel lineup of multi-camera sitcoms. In doing that, the company’s executive team has been leaning into classic Disney Channel IP.

Raven-Symoné is defending her wife, Miranda Pearman-Maday, following a social media backlash that involves internet trolls making death threats.
In a video shared on social media, the That’s So Raven star is seen with her wife calling out social media users leaving horrible comments.
“I’m here with Miranda, my wife, to tell you to stop it in the comments. And stop with the death threats in her DMs,” Symoné said in the video. “It is disrespectful to her, and in turn, disrespectful to me. Stop it.”
The backlash stems from Pearman-Maday stating she didn’t grow up watching Symoné on the Disney Channel series.
“It’s really become wild. I hope to clear the air right now and let you all know that I never have once said that I did not know who Raven was,” Pearman-Maday said. “I only ever said that I did not grow up watching That’s So Raven.

Raven-Symoné is clarifying a headline-making comment she made in 2014.
On Tuesday, the former Disney Channel star shared a new episode of her podcast Tea Time With Raven and Miranda, in which she recalled receiving hate a decade ago for telling Oprah Winfrey that she doesn’t consider herself to be “African American.”
“A lot of people on the internet thought I said that I wasn’t Black, and I never said that,” the former child star told her co-host and wife, Miranda Maday.
When asked by Maday what she meant, the That’s So Raven alum said, “When I say that ‘African-American’ doesn’t align with me, that label, it doesn’t mean that I’m negating my Blackness or I’m not Black. It means I am from this country. I was born here.”
She continued, “I understand my history. I understand where my ancestors come from. I also understand how much blood,...

Ahhh.. seems just like yesterday that Film Independent President Josh Welsh was on stage at the 2023 Film Independent Spirit Awards announcing the kickoff to our year-long #AD30 celebration, commemorating three uninterrupted decades—pandemics, strikes and recessions be damned!—of Film Independent Artist Development programs.
Of course, in reality that announcement was one full awards cycle ago, back when the Past Lives, Earth Mamas and May Decembers of the world were but a flicker in eyes of industry plaudit prognosticators. But the story of #AD30 has only grown in the interim.

After days of negative headlines chronicling a client exodus, Scooter Braun needed some good press. So, on August 29, the Daily Mail came through, publishing an article with the headline: “Scooter Braun’s label teams up with billionaire David Geffen’s former record company to create Ultimate ‘global girl group’; talent search docuseries for Netflix.” The only problem? Braun has nothing to do with the series.
That Netflix project, announced last month as a global girl group audition docuseries that will premiere in 2024, comes from K-Pop powerhouse company, Hybe and Geffen Records. Braun is CEO of Hybe America. While one of Braun’s direct reports is overseeing the project, Braun has never had any involvement with the series, Variety has learned. Netflix and Braun declined to comment.

Raven-Symoné is opening up about a private struggle she experienced as a teenager after growing up in the spotlight. In the most recent episode of her and wife Miranda Maday’s podcast, “The Best Podcast Ever With Raven & Miranda”, the former child star revealed she underwent multiple cosmetic procedures before the age of 18.
“I had two breast reductions and lipo before I turned 18. I’ve never said it. I’ve never shared it,” Raven disclosed.
The “Cosby Show” star said that her procedures were encouraged by her father, Christopher B. Pearman.
“My dad suggested, strongly, that I should get my breasts reduced,” she said. “I was like, ‘If I get lipo, will people stop calling me fat?'”
Raven, 37, said that she “disassociated” after the surgery and suffered a seizure as a result of the procedure.

Ever a man of extremes, Eric Andre, who by all accounts buffed up into the best shape of his life as a bit for the new season of his late-night prank show, shows up to our interview in a bright green Newport Cigarettes tracksuit.
“I’m polluting my body yet again,” Andre tells Den of Geek magazine. “I don’t think I’ve ever had a Newport in my life. [Laughs] I’m a poser. I’m a fraud.”
When we meet Andre, he’s a handful of days into a trip to Austin, Texas, where Adult Swim screened two episodes of The Eric Andre Show’s sixth season on the opening day of the SXSW Comedy Festival to a raucous sell-out crowd with supporting sets from his new co-host Felipe Esparza and comedian friend Reggie Watts.

It must be a daunting task to try to prank pop music’s reigning troll, but Eric Andre sure gave it his best shot. Lil Nas X had quite the visit at The Eric Andre Show, as you can see from a sneak-peek clip of the upcoming Season 6 premiere episode (via Rolling Stone).
Complete with a saucy new hairdo and decór reminiscent of an ’80s porno set, Andre welcomed Lil Nas X with a roar of audience applause and a jingle from the in-house band. The pair hardly had a moment to chat before a strange, screaming presence began bulging out of Andre’s desk like it was the haunted TV screen in Videodrome.

Disney Channel has served as the launchpad for many stars over the years, from the High School Musical kids to the performers who made it big in shows like That’s So Raven and Lizzie McGuire. While many of these stars went on to distance themselves from Disney in the years following their rise to fame, there are some young actors who have returned to work with the company on various projects. Here are a few of the talented performers who went on to work with Disney even after their early years on the Disney Channel.

Ashley Tisdale might be best known for her role as Sharpay Evans from the High School Musical franchise, but well before she landed the role, she had earned a strong fanbase thanks to her work in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.

Thirty years ago when Robin Thicke was 16, he recorded his first album with R&b star Brian McKnight. But the music wasn’t epic.
“[The label] was willing to put it out, but there wasn’t going to be a lot of promotion money behind it, so I said, ‘Let’s shelve it,’” he recalls.
While still recording his own music, he went on to develop his musicality by writing and producing for others, including Michael Jackson, Usher, Christina Aguilera, Pink, Jordan Knight, Brandy, Raven-Symoné, 98 Degrees, Marc Anthony, Mya, Color Me Badd, Guy Sebastian, Brownstone, Will Young, Kevon Edmonds, Ron Keating, Chante Moore and others.
But he needed to get back to making music for himself, so the early twentysomething decided he wouldn’t cut his hair until he heard his song on the radio.

Can you imagine if "That's So Raven" starred anyone else as its lead other than Raven-Symoné?
