“Sesame Street” star Alan Muraoka, who has been with the show since 1998, and “Sesame Street” puppeteer Martin P. Robinson, shared the stage at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre on Sunday to share their memories of Delgado and McGrath.
“The human characters on Sesame Street were created to represent many things for a child, a parent, a problem solver, an empathetic listener, and most importantly, a trusted friend,” Muraoka said. “I had the honor and privilege of working with Bob McGrath and Emilio Delgado, since I arrived at ‘Sesame Street’ 25 years ago. From day one, I saw how they used kindness as their superpower. We the humans of ‘Sesame Street,’ as we...

After splitting off from the Daytime Emmys, the first-ever Children’s & Family Emmys ceremony is here.
Taking place at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday, Dec. 10, the first night of the festivities focused on the creative arts, with trophies doled out for achievements in writing, directing, voice direction, cinematography, editing and more.
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the establishment of the Children’s & Family Emmys in late 2021, nodding to recent growth in scope and reach among that programming, which NATAS president and CEO Adam Sharp said could “stand on its own two feet.” Indeed, younger audiences aren’t strictly daytime cable viewers anymore — much of the innovation in children’s and family TV in recent years has happened in streaming. Case in point: Netflix was nominated for more awards than any other platform, beating even Disney+, Disney Channel and Disney Junior combined.

“I don’t know if ‘Sesame Street’ would still be here if the muppets weren’t part of it from the beginning,” says David Kamp in ABC’s “50 Years of Sunny Days”
ABC’s new “Sesame Street” documentary “50 Years of Sunny Days” opened up the world of Jim Henson’s muppets in a never-before-seen way. Produced by Time Studios, the Monday night special took viewers through many of the show’s iconic moments, such as original Hooper store owner Jim Hooper’s death in 1982 and the introduction of characters with autism and AIDS. Though video games are an artistic medium, the industry itself is a business like any other, concerned first and foremost with making back its investments. A lot of the time, this means the market is being constantly flooded by the same genres and formulas; those that prove time and again that they make the most money.
A consequence of the tenacious pursuit of profit is that gamers themselves are often left out in the cold, straddled with ‘optional’ (to varying degrees) micro-transactions and forced to purchase day-one Dlc in order to really get the full experience.
Of course, publishers wanting to make their money back, pay their employees and please their shareholders is completely understandable, but sometimes even this ideology goes a step too far. Instead of treating the audience with the respect they deserve, they treat them like cattle; they make them wait in the cold for special editions of the latest games,...

The Art Of Dead Space

When it comes to games there is a balance that needs to be found. It’s fair to say that graphics aren’t everything, some can fail miserably because they simply to look amazing and forget that game play is almost all of the experience. There are some though that get the game play right, but also create an atmospheric experience which is truly something special. When Dead Space came out, it brought us one of the most atmospheric experiences found in a game so far. It could be argued that it brought us everything we would want from an Alien game, but so far have lacked. In The Art of Dead Space, Martin Robinson looks at the what makes the games so special and provides us a book that not only looks at...
