- When Rogell was head of the "B" unit at RKO Pictures, he was famous (or infamous) for his insistence on strict and absolute adherence to budgets and shooting schedules. One day he came to the set of one of his pictures that was running two days behind schedule. He went to the director, tore the script out of his hands, ripped out a fistful of pages, handed the script back to him and said, "There, now you're two days ahead".
