Ice cream and chocolate sauce, peanut butter and jelly, rest and relaxation - some combos are just meant to be together. Much like hot guys and adorable dogs. N.Y.C.-based animal rescue, Louie's Legacy, has brought the two together for its new calendar, appropriately named "Hunks and Hounds." The 2015 calendar features 12 striking pictures of shirtless male models holding adoptable pups, all shot by photographer and animal advocate Mike Ruiz. Proceeds from the "Hunks and Hounds" sale will benefit Louie's Legacy, helping to fund the organization's efforts to educate people on animal welfare and move difficult-to-place pets out of high-kill shelters.

NBA donating Jason Collins’ jersey revenue to Lgbt charities, Tituss Burgess joins Tooken, Robbie Rogers feels constraints of being a role model
Jared Leto snapped up the Independent Spirit Award for his portrayal of Rayon in Dallas Buyers Club, increasing the odds that he’ll pick up the Oscar Sunday night for the role of a transgender HIV patient in the early 1980s.
The federal judge in Kentucky who ruled that the state must recognize out of state same-sex marriages has put a three week stay on his order. The state had asked for 90 days to appeal, but Judge Heyburn says they should be able to figure out how to implement the order by March 20.
The NBA is going to donate proceeds from Jason Collins’ record selling #98 jersey to the Matthew Shepard Foundation and Glsen. Autographed jerseys that Collins wears in games will be auctioned off to benefit the same organizations.

Getting an early start on planning, Nicole Anderson shared a few event style tips in the 2014 installment of TeenProm magazine.
The "Ravenwood" beauty looked absolutely glamorous in designer garbs from La Feeme and Joli Prom for the Mike Ruiz-shot spread while she dished about her minor red carpet fashion woes and revealed details about her prom experience at SeaWorld with her brother.
Highlights from Miss Anderson's interview are as follows. For more, be sure to pay a visit to TeenProm!
On her red carpet style:
"I did go to the Emmys one year and I had this really awesome black dress. My hair was a little bit more of a regret. I kind of have a Snooki poof happening, but the dress itself was great!"
On her favorite prom memory:
"Being able to go to prom and get dressed up for a fun night with him at SeaWorld was amazing.

Our brothers over at NewNowNext arranged for a photo shoot with the gorgeous Carmen Carrera and celebrity photographer (and A-List elder statesman) Mike Ruiz and the results were predictably phenomenal!
No wonder fans recently set up Change.org petition asking Victoria’s Secret to make Carrera one of their runway models.
That petition might not have borne fruit yet, but check out the stunning images and on set video from Carrera’s shoot with Ruiz.

Syfy's 13th Day of Halloween proves dreadfully unlucky for the partygoers and sorority pledges in tonight's original movie, American Horror House. Morgan Fairchild and Alessandra Torresani co-star in this ghostly tale directed by Darin Scott (Femme Fatales, Dark House).
Last week screen icon Morgan Fairchild spoke with reporters about her wide-ranging career, this film and what it was like making it.
She began by revealing her fandom for these kinds of films, which was the primarily reason she agreed to play Ms. Margot here. "I must confess I’m quite a devotee of the Syfy movie channel. I watch Syfy movies on the weekends. I’ve always enjoyed these kinds of fun movies. Even when I'm not at home, my boyfriend knows to record their new nine o'clock movies for me every Saturday. I like monsters and ghosts and I’m a big vampire fan. I loved Dracula and Frankenstein and all of that.

The chance to spend a Sunday morning amidst barechested hunks is just one of the many perks of being Martha Wash.

The shots will no doubt please Wash's legions of gay fans, some of whom probably weren't even alive when the song first had the clubs thumping from dusk until dawn. Yet the success of "It's Raining Men," which was written by Paul Jabara and Paul Shaffer,...

In what may be my new favorite thing, Venture Brothers has released their annual Christmas carol, which you can listen/download here. The song of the year is "Baby It's Cold Outside" as sung by the Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend, and it's just as twisted and Nsfw as you would imagine.
In Michigan, Republican Gov. Rick Snyder signed HB4770, which prohibits public employers from providing partner benefits to unmarried partners, effectively excluding gay partners from health care. Happy Holidays!
Betty White is set to host Monday Night Football for the Christmas edition this week. It seems only fair since a couple of years ago being tackled in a Snickers commercial took her career from steady to red hot.
Steve Jobs will be awarded a posthumous Grammy for "significant contributions to music." This amuses me since just a few years ago the industry was screaming that he was destroying the entire music industry.

You kinda have to feel sorry for those drunken messes on MTV's Jersey Shore. Those kids spend four grueling seasons pissing themselves in bars, passing out in random gutters, beating the hell out of each other and just maybe giving their unfortunate sex partners enough crabs to stock every Red Lobster in the Eastern seaboard.
But it only took a single episode of A-List: New York to join their league as one of the worst things to ever happen to New Jersey.
The second season finale starts with Austin and hubby Jake with two of their friends heading to Atlantic City in a gargantuan, electric pink Hummer-Limo. The nicest thing I could say about this hideous vehicle is it looked exactly the way you’d think a Pepto-colored suppository would look like.

This week, news outlets were practically giddy as they anticipated the path of destruction Hurricane Irene was set to bring upon New York City. So breathless in their fear mongering and so crazed in their endless coverage, it really seemed as if they had hoped the storm was somehow being directed by Roland Emmerich.
But their anticipation turned to disappointment as Irene approached landfall in the Big Apple. The storm downshifted. It seemed to lose its will. Almost as if Irene were somehow scared to approach the city, let alone wreak the havoc that seemed so assured just a few days before.
There were many scientific justifications for this. But I believe science might have missed one reason for the storm’s eventual retreat.
Some heroic New Yorker must have tied Nyasha to a pier.

Parent company Logo this morning issued a press release with more details on the western expansion of the gay househusbands franchise: The A-List: Dallas.
I sort of have a thing for cowboys... and bad reality TV, so I really want to like this. Dare I get my hopes up? From what little we've seen so far of the principal cast, it looks like it might have more potential than its franchise predecessor .
Five reasons A-List: Dallas will be better than A-List: New York
1. Viewers have lower expectations!
And by this I mean the original New York cast was perhaps unfairly taken to represent "the gay community" as a whole. And so, many gay viewers felt embarrassed by the venture. But with Dallas, all those country drawls and ten gallon hats automatically distinguish the cast from your average gay. Most gay viewers aren't walking in to this one expecting to see themselves represented by the cast.

From left to right: Colin Farrell, David Tennant and Anton Yelchin
This week's players all star in the remake of Fright Night, which premieres in theaters this Friday. Which of them would you...
Anton Yelchin
This Russian actor plays Charley, who suspects that his new neighbor might be a vampire. In addition to Fright Night, you may have seen him in Terminator: Salvation, Charlie Bartlett, and Star Trek (as Chekov).
Colin Farrell
Colin plays bloodsucking neighbor Jerry Dandridge, and has also starred in Phone Booth, S.W.A.T., and Colin Farrell’s Sex Tape. In 2012, he’ll be appearing in another remake, Total Recall.
David Tennant
We in the States mostly know him as the tenth Doctor Who, but he’s also been in a variety of other TV shows, movies, and stage productions. In Fright Night, he plays experienced vampire hunter Peter Vincent.
Now that you've voted, please share your reasoning in the comments!

There’s a rather large elephant in the room and this time, I’m not talking about anybody’s peen. What exactly are we watching here? Is this a heavily manipulated reality show or a completely scripted hoax?

Ignite has a great article that sums up nicely why Will is a hero. The Fine Bros have tapped into a goldmine with their "Kids React to ..." vids, and below you can the kids react to ... Lady Gaga.
Tracy Morgan would love his gay son as much as a straight son. So the stabbing part comes in where again? Oh, and Morgan also supports gay marriage. I'm guessing his wedding present to his gay friends will be ... a knife set. Speaking of gay marriage, via Towleroad it looks like we are getting close to winning in New York! Three Democratic senators have come around leaving Dingbat Diaz as the only Democratic holdout. One more Republican has joined the marriage equality side,...

The 2011 AIDS Walk New York raised over 6 million dollars, thanks to the participation of 45,000 walkers. Also helping to raise funds and awareness were some of our favorite celebs, from most of the cast of Modern Family to Project Runway designers Jack Mackenroth and Mondo Guerra.
Enjoy this collection of pics from the event, and thanks to these celebs for showing their support. And is it just us, or did Matt Bomer color coordinate his outfit with his eyes?

Buck Swope: What's your look?
Becky Barnett: Chocolate love.
— Boogie Nights
The first time it happened, I was a nineteen-year-old waiter at a predominantly gay restaurant in Omaha, Nebraska. I'd only been out for two years and let’s just say that my gay still had training wheels on.
One night, I was waiting on a table of gay men in their thirties. They were a fun group; energetic and catty, but not in a mean-spirited way. Then, sometime around their third or fourth glass of wine, it happened. I asked if they wanted to order anything else and one of them replied, “I'd love to get a piece of your chocolate meat?"
It took me a moment to realize what he was talking about. Chocolate meat? Who in their right minds would serve chocolate – Ooooohhhhh.
I was stunned. I didn’t know whether to be flattered or offended or both.

The second leg of the 2011 GLAAD Media Awards was held last night in Los Angeles (the first part was last month in New York, and the conclusion will be next month in San Francisco.).
The big news was that Glee and Modern Family tied for the Outstanding Comedy Series Award. Below you can see Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Julie Bowen and Ariel Winter accept the award from presenter Joel McHale. Jesse is funny, poignant, a bit manic, and totally adorable.
Below you can see Glee stars Mike O'Malley and Chris Colfer accept their award. Mike rocks that train conductor cap, while Chris is looking more and more like Roger Federer.
Surprise guest Dolly Parton presented the Stephen F. Kolzak Award to out NBC Chairman Robert Greenblatt. Dolly was her usual faboo, irrepressible self, and Robert speaks eloquently about his history in media, including dealing with that infamous Melrose Place gay non-kiss.

First off, I’m back! I ran down to lovely Lexington, Va to talk to OUTLaw, the Glbt student organization at Washington & Lee University. They were great people, and didn’t throw rotten vegetables at me, so I think we had a really great talk about bullying, suicide, and Glee. Many thanks to Emerald, David, Chad, Anthony and everyone else for having me.
Mike O’Malley has a great interview about playing Burt Hummel and how much the show means, and how he and Chris Colfer go about all those heavy scenes. But what really got me was when he was discussing the sex education talk Burt and Kurt had, and how sex ed talks between parents and kids focus on the bad things. “And look — parents don’t want their kids having sex. If they did, they’d teach them technique! I don’t care how open-minded you are.

30 Rock, True Blood, Russell Simmons and Ricky Martin were just a few of the honorees at the 22nd annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York on Saturday. (Note: this is the first of GLAAD's three annual events. The second will be held in Los Angeles in April, and the third in San Francisco in May.)
This weekend's NYC shindig was presented by Rokk Vodka, which also sponsored a private reception and an after party. Plus, no doubt the next morning's hangover.
The Excellence in Media Award was presented to hip hop artist Russell Simmons for his activism in repealing Don't Ask, Don't Tell, and for his strong support of marriage equality.
Ricky Martin received the Vito Russo Award and gave this acceptance speech:

Which Came First — The Chicken Or The Gay Dad?
Last week Out magazine published the results of their Love and Sex Survey and one of the most notable results was the very large generation gap between gay men on the subjects of gay marriage and having children.
While only 51% of those aged 36 to 45 want to get married, 80% of those 18 to 25 want to do so. The gap is even bigger when it comes to having children. While a whopping 70% of those under the age of 25 want little bundles of joy, only 31% of those over 25 are interested in changing diapers. Even though this is Out's first time doing this survey, I'd wager that even ten years ago, the gap wouldn't have been nearly so large.
Coincidentally — or not — this week saw the debut of USA's Fairly Legal, yet another show which includes an out gay man who is a dad. This comes...

The photos, just released today, show the reality TV star working some crazy couture while rocking red hair. The shoot was actually done before Khloe actually dyed her locks -- but she says it was the "inspiration" for the change. Khloe blogged about the shoot on her website , saying "Yrb is known for being very wild and crazy with the content they publish, so I jumped at the chance to work with them! I love experimenting with different looks and this was the perfect opportunity for me to do that." The photos were taken by Mike Ruiz -- check out the full set! Read more...

T.J., Austin, and Derek
Fasten your seatbelts and grab your air-sickness bags! Parent company Logo has greenlit a second season of the "gay housewives" reality show, The A-List New York. The entire original cast is returning, which means (as our own snicks sagely pointed out) those guys have implicitly approved of how they're being represented and so can't really complain any more about "how they were edited."
Though they probably will.
According to the press release this morning, "production is slated to begin shortly on 11 new, 1-hour episodes. The new season will pick up where the volatile first season left off, following provocative storylines like Reichen and Rodiney's relationship, Austin's attempts to stir the pot and Ryan and his partner's struggle to adopt a child."
No word in the press release what Derek, Mike Ruiz and T.J. will be doing, but they too will be returning along with...

We couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw this pic of Khloe Kardashian. She’s barely recognizable!
Khloe Kardashian has done it again. The 26-year-old reality star has managed to shock her fans with this stunning new photo from her Yellow Rat Bastard magazine cover shoot!
Wearing a copper-colored hair piece, striking make-up, designer clothes and chunky jewelry, Khloe was photographed by (and with!) famed photographer Mike Ruiz.
Mike, who has shot everyone from Tyra Banks to Dita Von Teese transformed the usually casual Khloe into a high fashion stunner who is definitely going to make fans stop and do a double take. Is it just us or is she channeling her inner Rihanna with her tough girl pose?
What do you think of Khloe’s look? Sexy badass or a little over-the-top? Sound off below!

The Burlesque soundtrack will be released next Monday, but you can listen to the full album now. My recommendation? Track #7 Ftw! Brace yourselves, Kathy Griffin fans. The diva tells Entertainment Weekly that she doesn't think My Life on the D-List will return. Even if it is does, it would be a hybrid, "half-scripted kind of thing."
Adding a cupcake seems redundant

Bravo’s design series The Fashion Show returns tonight in arevamped, practically unrecognizable form. Host and judge Kelly Rowland hasbeen replaced by supermodel Iman. There will be 12 designers competing insteadof 15. And, most importantly the competitors will be split into two fashionhouses and will stage a complete runway extravaganza each week.
The one anchoring factor is the return of Isaac Mizrahi.
In a recent conference call interview, Isaac and Iman talkedabout the new format, the latest cast of characters, and how their larger thanlife personalities will factor into the show.

Just a few Canadian things I'm thankful for.
Today is a special day north of the Yankee border, and so we wish our Canadian readers Happy Thanksgiving, and in the United States it's National Coming Out Day and Columbus Day. GLAAD has issued an action alert to pressure Universal Pictures remove the "electric cars are gay" joke from The Dilemma. This is an issue we first voiced a concern about three weeks ago. But industry insiders say that Ron Howard is a big enough name that he probably has the final decision on what gets cut. Honestly, I'm less concerned about it being in the film than I am about having the joke showing up in a green band trailer for all audiences. So Tom Ford couldn't have a gay kiss in his green band trailer for A Single Man, but you can have a nasty gay joke and still...

Reichen has a rep for being very serious and all-business.
Austin chills after the shoot. In his underwear.

Is that you, Lance? Former N'Sync member Lance Bass showed off his darker side by posting photos of himself donning Adam Lambert-esque makeup and clothes for a special photo shoot with photographer Mike Ruiz. This is what Matt Morris is supposed to look like.
I admit it – here at Twitterwatch we can get old and cranky, and sometimes we don't like change. We like our beer cold, our latte hot, and for Miley Cyrus and Ashton Kutcher to be paired with inappropriately aged partners. So when celebrities start tweeting things that seem out of character we end up curled up under our desk in the fetal position, and man, it's been a long time since someone swept down there.
Take Gareth Thomas for example. Big bruiser of a guy. I would totally expect him to listen to Led Zeppelin and ogle men. After all, he has an example to set. But no, here he goes admiring a female classical singer, and not just for her voice!
Not to mention scruffy indie singer/songwriter Matt Morris. He's supposed to be that tattooed, coffee house singer.

I just love when the extraordinary photographer Mike Ruiz posts new pics on his Facebook page because they are always quite stunning. The latest are of openly gay actor-singer Cheyenne Jackson who he photographed for Canada’s Fab magazine.
In the article, he talks about his coming out process:
“When I was 13 and in eighth grade, I was obsessed with my best friend. I was in love with him. He had blonde curly hair and he was a Mormon,” says Jackson of his first crush.”

Plus, Cheyenne Jackson gets wet, Arnold "is back," Fox News fakes it again, and mourning the loss of David Mills.
I had no intention of going to see the Miley Cyrus film The Last Song, but the headline for the Village Voice review suddenly makes me care: Hanna Montana Upstaged by Sea Turtles in The Last Song. I hope that means Crush from Finding Nemo landed a new gig.
Remember how murder music king Buju Banton claimed to be losing weight in prison, and his lawyer was upset? It turns out he’s actually gained eleven pounds since they locked him up, so that’s not helping his case.
I didn’t realize that The Vampire Diaries was new last week. It seemed like forever since they opened that tomb and didn’t find the old vampire Damon was pining for. Anyway, I forgot to watch last Thursday. Fortunately, Alessar...

Cheyenne Jackson visits the 50s, Wilson Cruz the 40s, Ghostbusters is stuck in the 80s, and how Twitter can save the world.
Out super hero director Bryan Singer is adorable, and no one can deny he has a passion for his projects. But I’m not entirely on board with his take on X-Men: First Class. It seems that if you’re going to title the film that, it should be about the First Class. He wants to make it about Xavier and Magneto, which could be a buddy comedy all on its own.
Here are the Eight Greatest Futurama Minor Characters. They’re all great, but again, All Hail Hypnotoad!
I think Doctor Who and I may be done, both personally and professionally. This list of ****spoilers**** for Matt Smith claims he saves the world with Twitter. I’m pretty sure that Twitter destroys the world in the end.

We’re back with another edition of TwitterWatch, our weekly update of tweeted gossipy fun! In some “I can’t believe this is actually happening” news, Kirstie Alley is coming back to TV! Prepare yourselves for Kirstie Alley’s Big Life:
Another 1980's phenomenon, the Smurfs, are also trying to mount a questionable comeback, only there's been a bit of a cat fight over the casting. Somehow our favorite spurf, Michael Ausiello was looked over for a role in the new Smurfs movie:
That’s right. Someone actually green lit a Smurfs movie … and Neil Patrick Harris actually signed up for it! I may have to actually see it just to see how smurfy Nph’s smurfiest really is:
Clinton Kelly
Clinton Kelly just lost any authority he may have had to tell me what to wear:
Turns out Cheyenne Jackson was in a recent photo shoot as well:

Um...Kim? Is that really you? Here are some interesting pictures that Kim Kardashian just posted on her website. She writes, "My Yrb Magazine shoot just came out and I am loving the results! I love the photog, Mike Ruiz, and my stylist Darius Baptist was amazing! This shoot was done the day I left for Africa. I really love the transformation and the clothes were amazing!!! This has got to be one of the most unique shoots I've ever done! Not sure I'll ever go for a permanent short cut, but it definitely works for this shoot." She really can pull off anything,...

"Just Friends" is a new track penned and produced by Babyface. It is confirmed to serve as the first single from Vanessa's next studio album entitled "The Real Thing", which is set to come out in America on June 2.
Aside from featuring "Just Friends", Vanessa Willams' new record will also include another Babyface-written song titled "Loving You". In addition to those fresh songs, it will list cover versions of tracks originally recorded by the likes of Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers and Bebel Gilberto.
