Steven Spielberg's 1984 blockbuster "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" is not a good movie. The pacing is strange, the central story is introduced rather late into the film, and the interior logic doesn't really stand up to scrutiny. Many also take issue with Willie Scott (Kate Capshaw) as she constantly whines. Also what is the true nature of the Sankara stones, and why is it bad that Mola Ram (Amrish Puri) has them? It seems that Mola Ram and Chattar Lal (Roshan Seth) are quite evil enough merely enslaving hundreds of children to work in their mines.
"Temple of Doom" is also the bloodiest and scariest of the "Indiana Jones" movies, a quality that both Spielberg and story writer/producer George Lucas have said was inspired by their respective messy breakups at the time. While many find the movie's gore to be fun and zesty -- including this...

New Delhi, Nov 14 (Ians) Indian table tennis legend Achanta Sharath Kamal, who claimed three gold medals in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham this year, was the only player nominated for the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award as the government named 25 sportspersons including World champion woman boxer Nikhat Zareen, steeplechaser Avinash Sable, Cwg gold medallist triple jumper Eldhose Paul and young chess wizard R. Praggnanandhaa for the prestigious Arjuna Award.
The Khel Ratna was the only award missing from the laurels achieved by Sharath, the most successful male table tennis player the country has ever produced who has played in three Olympic Games, five Commonwealth Games and four Asian Games besides bagging the national title a record 10 times.
This year, he showed that there was still a lot of fight in the old dog as he emerged as the most successful member of the Indian contingent at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham,...

National Lampoon finds corporate sponsors for its Downfall Festival in Lemmings: 21st Century.

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I wrote some comments on Disqus today. I got three negative comments and I’m a sad guy. Wait…I don’t care. You can type in my name and see my comments on…certain websites. Some dink took issue with me hyphenating “every-thing”. You’re supposed to hyphenate that word. It’s a compound word. Every-thing isn’t a real word. It’s a lazy word. The English language is filled with lazy words. I should know, because I’m about to use a lot of them right now. Anyway, we’ve got the build for Hard To Kill coming to a boil. Tessa Blanchard might be a World Champion very soon. Whether you’re into that or not, that’s a big piece of history that might be on the horizon.

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a wedding at the climax of the show. Yeah, a wedding. Who would pay to see a wrestler get married when you could pay to see them fight some-one? Okay, let’s get to the marriage thing so I don’t have to talk about that ever again.

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the final appearance of Lax in Impact, as they are moving on to All Elite Wrestling. They’ve had an excellent run in Impact, doing great things with a gimmick that they never really fit into that well. Also, I’m still pissed that Two Guys, A Girl And A Pizza Place got rid of the pizza place. Where’s the damn pizza? Stupid ABC. A man took a boy and his ax into a forest. The boy looked at the man and his ax and said “I’m scared”. The man looked back to the boy and said “Yeah, well…I’m the one who has to walk back by himself”. That’s what it feels like watching Impact Wrestling sometimes, but the main event of Lax and Rich Swann...

Welcome to this week’s review of Impact Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and a little birdy told me that Dr. Wagner Jr. might have wrestled at the Impact TV tapings that will air within a few weeks. Dr. Wagner Jr. was supposed to be retired, so if he’s wrestling after he announced his retirement then that makes him a liar. If Dr. Wagner Jr. is a liar, then that makes me angry…with the madness! I’ve got cabin fever! I’ve got it tooooooooooo! Cabin Fever! We’ve got cabin fever and we’re all going mad… I’m okay…just stupider than usual. Alright, it’s time for Impact Wrestling…and cabin fever! I’ve got it toooooooooo! Cabin fever!

Welcome to this review of Impact Wrestling’s Rebellion Pay Per View, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have plenty of big matches to get to, so let’s see if it all turns out great.
Match #1: Ace Austin beat Eddie Edwards, Petey Williams, Jake Crist, Aiden Prince and Cousin Jake – 6 – Man Scramble Match
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was all sorts of fantastic moves. Everybody had a dance partner if they wanted one, which helps things quite a bit. It’s a shame that Eddie got stuffed in this match at the last minute, but this definitely proves that Eli Drake is truly out of Impact, since he was supposed to wrestle Eddie originally. Hey, Petey got on PPV, so that’s another great piece of news. As for the match, this was the greatest hits kind of thing, but gloriously so. Over-all, Ace...

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a card with some good and some bad, so let’s see what’s what.
Match #1: Rich Swann def. El Hijo del Vikingo The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
Both competitors match each other’s speed and agility in the early going. Vikingo hits a series of springboard Hurricanranas. Vikingo launches himself over the top rope, hitting a flip dive on Swann. Swann connects with a springboard flip off the guardrail to the floor! Swann locks in a unique submission maneuver but Vikingo fights out of it. Swann connects with the 450 splash to win.
My Take: 3.5 out of 5 – This was a very creative match that had a lot of unique action sequences within the match’s structure. Swann showed more depth to his offense than usual, which is something he struggles with some-times.

Welcome to this weeks review of Impact Wrestling, the show after the show that drew the worst ratings in Impact history… So there’s that.
Match #1: Rich Swann vs. Willie Mack The following comes from ImpactWrestling.com:
Two friends battle it out in the opening contest. Swann is hung up in the corner and Mack follows up with a kick from coast-to-coast! Mack connects with a slingshot crossbody to the outside. Mack sends Swann flying into the air, then slams him down to the mat for a near fall! Swann hits a series of kicks, followed by a 450 splash but Mack kicks out. Mack hits a standing Moonsault for another very close near fall. Mack misses a top rope frog splash, allowing Swann to connect with the handspring cutter. Swann hits the Phoenix Splash to pick up the victory.
My Take: A match between two guys that are too good for Impact Wrestling.

National Lampoon has partnered with online film and TV creatives platform Stage 32 to launch the National Lampoon & Stage 32 Comedy Screenwriting Competition, with the winning script to receive a $5,000 option of 18 months by Nl and the winning writer or writers placed into its mentoring program.
The competition launch comes after PalmStar Media acquired the iconic comedy brand last year for just under $12 million, with the goal to rechristen a brand once associated with comedy’s brightest minds, and the movies they made like Animal House, Vacation and more.
Any writer or writing team may participate by submitting a completed feature-length comedy script they have written. Nl and Stage 32 are looking for scripts with an emphasis on social satire, but everything from dark comedies, dramedies, action comedies, horror comedies and other genre hybrids are welcome.
