Here’s a crossover for fans of The Daily Show and RuPaul’s Drag Race.
The Comedy Central series and the VH1 show, which was just renewed for season 15, are coming together to drag the Republican party over its recent comments on, well, drag.
The Daily Show correspondent Dulcé Sloan and RuPaul star Kerri Colby, who appeared on season 14, are helping the likes of Florida governor Ron DeSantis, Kari Lake, who is running to become Arizona governor, and Michigan Republican Beau Lafave to find their inner drag queens.
It comes after DeSantis filed a complaint against a Miami restaurant for letting children into a drag brunch event. Lake, meanwhile, has attacked drag queens during campaigning, despite previously partying with drag queen Richard Stevens, otherwise known as Barbra Seville, who was dressed as Marilyn Monroe at the time. Beau Lafave recently announced a new bill that would empower parents to sue public...

If you're already dreaming of taking over the Oval Office, why not aim even higher? For Newt Gingrich, the sky's the limit.
The politico was asked on a radio show who he'd like to play him in a biopic, and the decidedly un-Brad Pitt-like Republican replied, "Oh, in my fantasy life? Brad Pitt ... why not?"
Why not, indeed. Gingrich told radio show host Rich Stevens, "No, I don't look like him at all … He's thinner, he's better looking, he's younger. But you asked me if I had anyone who could play me in a movie ... why not go for Brad Pitt?"
That's the spirit, Newt! Go big or go home. You might not have "The Eye of the Tiger," but you can always dream of being played by one of the sexiest men currently walking the earth. And that you'll have a biopic one day.
Pitt, on the other hand,...

Republican presidential hopeful tells radio station that if a movie were made about his life he wants the Moneyball star to play him
With polls placing Newt Gingrich up to 20% behind Mitt Romney in the Republican race for presidential nomination, you have to admire any attempt to grab the headlines. In an interview with a Florida radio station, just before his defeat by Romney in the primary, Gingrich confessed that, if a movie was ever made about his life, he saw Brad Pitt in the role.
Speaking to the Rich Stevens Radio Show on Ft Lauderdale, Florida station 850 Wftl, Gingrich admitted there might be one or two minor problems – "he's thinner, he's better looking, he's younger" – but that would be no artistic obstacle. "If you're going to go for it, you gotta relax and let your imagination soar."
In fact, Gingrich, 68, is two decades older than the 48-year-old Pitt, and...

Republican Presidential candidates are being asked all sorts of ridiculous questions while campaigning. Recently they were asked about their favorite superhero, to which almost everyone replied: Superman. Now, during an interview with radio host Rich Stevens, Newt Gingrich was asked to choose an actor to play him in a possible Gingrich biopic. He replied: "Oh, in my fantasy life? Brad Pitt ... why not?" Gingrich then admitted that he doesn't look very much like the actor. "No I don't look like him at all. He's thinner, he's better looking, he's younger. But you asked me if I had anyone who could play me in a movie ... why not go for Brad Pitt?" The politician isn't the only person to request a good-looking actor to portray them. Aretha Franklin previously named Halle Berry as her choice, while Elton John said he'd like Justin Timberlake to portray him.

Newt Gingrich has high hopes for his 2012 presidential run. As for who would play him in a movie about his life, the former House speaker's expectations appear to be equally lofty.
TMZ reports that in a Tuesday appearance on the Rich Stevens Radio show, Gingrich was asked who he would like to see play the lead role in such a film. Newt went straight to the top, picking a Hollywood icon.
"Oh, in my fantasy life?," he asked Stevens. "Brad Pitt ... why not?"
Stevens advanced the thought: "Is it because you both look so much alike?"
Newt replied: "No, I don't look like him at all. He's thinner, he's better looking, he's younger. But you asked me if I had anybody who could play me in a movie. Why not go for Brad Pitt?"
While Gingrich has made his career in Washington, Hollywood continues to be a fixture in his free time.
