Daytime drama actor, Andrea Evans, has died at the age of 66.

Brandon Barash was killed off of “Days of Our Lives” last October when his character, Stefan Dimera, was shot to death, prompting his wife Gabi (Camila Banus) to donate his heart to Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), but despite literally being a heartless man, Stefan will return to Salem on April 23, and Barash sang a song to announce his resurrection. See his Instagram post below.

SEEDaytime Emmys 2020 called off due to coronavirus: ‘It would simply be irresponsible to move forward’
Perhaps surprisingly, the most iconic actress in soap opera history, Susan Lucci, only won this award once for her role as Erica Kane on “All My Children,” though it wasn’t for a lack of trying. In one of the most notorious losing streaks in Emmy history, she was nominated a whopping 19 times before finally prevailing in 1999, and with 21 bids overall she’s the most nominated performer in the history of the category.

Vivian was on the run, Jennifer forgave Jack. Julie got her heart after Stefan’s tragic death, and Gabi was once again out for revenge in Salem.
Our TV Fanatics Jack Ori and Christine Orlando are joined by Soaps4Ever and UhSir from MyHourglass a Days of Our Lives fan forum to debate Robin Strasser’s turn as Vivian, Jennifer forgiving Jack, and Nicole keeping yet another secret on Days of Our Lives.
Vivian is gone. How would you rate Robin Strasser’s run as this iconic character?
Soaps4Ever: I prefer Louise Sorel as Vivian but I think Robin Strasser did what she could with the character. In my opinion, she wasn't given enough time to really dig her heels into the role.
I also didn't see the point in changing her hairstyle every other episode. The other Vivian did not do that and it was kind of strange.

Jack: I’m giving it a 7 so far. I Love Vivian. She's one of my favorite villainesses. And I think Robin Strasser is doing a terrific job but has some huge shoes to fill.
It's going to take time to get used to her. However, the writing is over the top and that's saying a lot considering what character we're talking about.

Although Days of Our Lives overuses the back from the dead trope, it's always good to see Vivian Alamain.
Vivian is equal parts classy and conscienceless, making her the perfect soap diva. Louise Sorel made this character her own, so recasting her when Sorel wasn't available was a risky move.
It's going to take time for viewers to get Louise Sorel's version of Vivian out of their heads, but Days of Our Lives gave Robin Strasser plenty of screen time during the week of 9-2-19, and she is doing an excellent job of filling Sorel's shoes.
Vivian's re-introduction scenes were fun. She was the same witty, self-centered character she'd always been, and her connection to Jack because of the warehouse brought up some interesting questions.
Hopefully, Days of Our Lives will delve into what the warehouse was like for everyone Rolf resurrected.

“One Life to Live” fans can look forward to a reunion this summer as Robin Strasser joins the cast of “Days of Our Lives.” Soap Opera Digest recently broke the story, but while the role she’s playing is still under wraps, the magazine teases, “Look for her arrival to shake up the canvas in a surprising way.”
Strasser is most famous for playing the conniving Dorian Lord on “Oltl.” She played that role on and off from 1979 until the show’s ultimate cancellation in 2013. Along the way she earned four Daytime Emmy nominations for Best Actress, but her only victory was in 1982 and she hasn’t been nominated in 34 years. But maybe that will change when she moves to Salem.

After all, it worked for her on-screen niece. Dorian Lord was the aunt of Blair Cramer, played by Kassie DePaiva.
