“Tracking Shot” is a monthly featurette here on Ioncinema.com that looks at a dozen or so projects that are moments away from lensing (or in a couple of titles below have been shooting since July). Playing a superwoman is something that Carrie-Anne Moss has always done exceedingly well; her turn as Trinity in "The Matrix" films is third maybe only to Sigourney Weaver in "Aliens" and Linda Hamilton in "Terminator 2" as one of the movies' most formidable female characters. Adelaide-based VFX vendor Rising Sun Pictures has appointed Kevin Campbell as head of 3D.
“We are building a team whose experience and talent is on par with the best visual effects providers in Hollywood and London,” said Rising Sun Pictures CEO Michael Taylor in a statement.
Campbell has worked at Cinesite in London, as well as post-production houses Framestore and The Mill. His credits include Gladiator, The Golden Compass, and the upcoming The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
Campbell will oversee the company’s 3D department, as Rising Sun adds further production capacity.
