"You can talk to me. What did we say about responsibility, Peter?" This ain't your Aunt May's Spider-Man. Now available to watch online is a 10-minue short film called The Spider, described as a "horror take on Spider-Man." Joining the other two spider horror films this year - Sting and Infested. Written and directed by Andy Chen, an up-and-coming young filmmaker who goes under the name "Locust Garden" on social media, the short film features a legit cast. Chandler Riggs (seen in "The Walking Dead" & "A Million Little Things") stars as Peter, with Holgie Forrester, Carl Addicott, Matthew Tyler Vorce, Ben Thomas, and Caylee Cowan. It is an entirely fan-made, non-profit film inspired by Spider-Man. It gets really dark at the end, going down a path similar to Cronenberg's The Fly, which is exactly what I was hoping to see in this short. Super disgusting! Sony would never do anything...

Among all the horror-thrillers that have caught hold of fans to the core, Chandler Riggs’ The Spider seems to gaining an edge. A short fanmade film with a legit cast that actually nailed it, this movie has been inspired by none other than the beloved friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, though it differs in wide ranges when it comes to the themes and genre.
The Spider (2024).
That said, this version is a darker take on the web-slinger and is actually a horror movie from the up-and-coming young filmmaker, Andy Chen. Nonetheless, fans’ reactions to this short film are nothing short of spectacular, with many of them even giving this “horror take on Spider-Man” perfect scores for everything — from the cast to the storyline to the special effects and whatnot.

Jurors in Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz’s sentencing trial detailed the “tense” deliberations that resulted in a recommendation of life in prison — and not the death penalty — for the person responsible for killing 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
While Gov. Ron Disantis blamed “a single holdout” for the life imprisonment sentence, there were actually three jurors who voted against the death penalty, including one female juror who was a “hard ‘no,'” jury foreperson Benjamin Thomas later told Wfor.

It's back to school for the Cambridge kids! On Aug. 22, People reported that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will all be attending Lambrook School in Berkshire next month amid the family's move from London to Windsor. "They are such an outdoorsy family, London just wasn't working for them anymore," a source close to the family told People about their move. "The countryside is definitely their happy place."
"Their Royal Highnesses are hugely grateful to Thomas's Battersea where George and Charlotte have had a happy start to their education since 2017 and 2019 respectively and are pleased to have found a school for all three of their children which shares a similar ethos and values," Kate Middleton and Prince William said in a statement via a Kensington Palace release, according to People.

British Isis supporter Husnain Rashid has pleaded guilty to terrorism charges — including a threat to attack Prince George's school. According to CNN, the terrorist wrote messages targeting the heir to the throne, writing, "even the royal family will not be left alone" alongside a photo of the four-year-old next to a superimposed silhouette of a jihadi fighter. Rashid was arrested in 2017 and is two weeks into his trial. Since his arrest, he has maintained his innocence, denying any involvement with planning attacks against the tiny royal's school. However, his Internet activity between October 2016 and November 2017 prove otherwise. Along with providing the address to Prince William and Kate Middleton's son's school in southwest London, Thomas’s Battersea, the Isis member also encouraged attacks on soccer stadiums, British army bases, and shopping centers. The outlet also reports that Rashid had plans to travel to Turkey and Syria to fight in territories controlled by Isis.

Unlike her character on her hit TV series Roseanne (that has since been cancelled by ABC following Roseanne Barr's racist tweet), the actress has had quite her fair share of men over the years. In fact, three of her relationships resulted in saying, “I do.” That’s a lot of nuptials! Though the 65-year-old actress isn't married at the moment, it's clear she's an expert when it comes to walking down the aisle. Beginning with Bill Pentland, Roseanne was married to the Roseanne Executive Consultant from 1974 to 1990. The two share three children — Jake Pentland, 40, Jennifer Petland, 42, and Jessica Petland, 43. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) Following Bill, Roseanne linked up with legendary comedian, Tom Arnold. The couple was briefly married from 1990 to 1994. They had no kids. That said, the two have no bad blood. Tom was actually a presenter on The Roast of Roseanne Barr back in 2012. The feisty comedian rose to fame more than 30 years ago as one of TV's biggest stars, but Roseanne Barr is still making headlines today. The Roseanne actress — whose 2018 reboot of Roseanne was cancelled on May 29 after she published a racist tweet — was previously a tabloid staple during the original run of her sitcom, which aired from 1988 to 1997. And in 2012, she even found herself in the political spotlight when she chose to run for president. Now, her political stance is again a contentious topic, but it seems there's one big supporter of her TV character's pro-Trump views. The Roseanne cast. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) Roseanne, 65, received a congratulatory call from President Donald Trump himself when Roseanne earned record ratings upon its return to TV. But does she get hurt when critics push back? "I need to have really thick skin," she said in a recent interview. "I have thin skin, but...

She played the perfect sitcom mom on her hit show Roseanne (and now has reprised her role in the show's reboot), but what many fans forget is that Roseanne Barr is a mother in real life, too. Not only that, she's been married three different times and has five children! When the actress was 17 years old back in 1970, she had a daughter Brandi Brown, who she gave up for adoption. However, they reunited 17 years later, and Brandi worked as a production assistant on Roseanne. Roseanne with Jack and Brandi. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) Four years after giving birth to her daughter, Roseanne met hotel clerk Bill Pentland during a trip to Colorado. The two married on Feb. 4, 1974. During their marriage — which lasted for 16 years until their split in 1990 — the couple welcomed three children. Their daughter Jessica was born in 1975, their daughter Jennifer in 1976, and their son Jake in 1978. The sisters...

Roseanne and Dan Conner were one of TV's favorite sitcom couples back in the '80s and '90s on Roseanne, so many fans are wondering if Roseanne Barr and John Goodman are married in real life now that the hit show's reboot just premiered on ABC. Turns out, they were just an on-screen couple. John has been married to his wife, Anna Beth Goodman, since 1989. The couple has a 27-year-old daughter, Molly Evangeline Goodman, together, who was born in August 1990. The 65-year-old actor once told Elle that the secret to his nearly 30-year marriage is "not" romance but "working away from home a great deal of the time." At least he's honest! Unlike John, Roseanne has been married and divorced three different times. She was hitched to Bill Pentland from 1974 until 1990 and the couple had three children together, Jessica, Jennifer, and Jake. After divorcing Bill, she wed comedian Tom Arnold,...

The former husband of comedienne and reality TV star Roseanne Barr is going after his ex's thousands, insisting she should pay for his legal fees following a lengthy child custody battle.
Ben Thomas is demanding $75,000 (£46,900) to pay off his attorneys and a further $100,000 (£62,500) for the inconvenience of the trial.
