Thursday’s parole board hearing marks the latest twist in the saga of O.J. Simpson‘s fall from grace, which began in 1994 with the killing of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ron Goldman.
Prior to the killings, Simpson, now 70, was an American hero, his former prowess on the football field matched by his charm as a celebrity pitchman and actor. But after the slayings, in which Simpson quickly became the suspect, details about rage-filled fights with his ex-wife that were fueled by jealousy began to emerge.

Last year, the seven-year winning streak of "The Amazing Race" at the Emmy Awards was halted when "Top Chef" won Best Reality Competition Series. That this CBS staple lost was a surprise in itself but that it was not beaten by ratings powerhouse "American Idol" came as the real shocker. That hugely popular talent show had never won this award but was thought to have its strongest entry ever with the season finale that included a surprisingly touching tribute to departing judge Simon Cowell. For its 18th edition which begins Sunday, "The Amazing Race" is bringing back 11 teams that fell short of the finish line. Dubbing the season "Unfinished Business," executive producer Bertram van Munster explained to Craig Tomashoff of TV Guide, "We're giving people a second chance. It's the American way." All of the returning teams made costly errors along the route and are looking for redemption. When it came to d.

Dr. Sam Beckett may once again put right what once went wrong. This time on the big screen. Former "Quantum Leap" star Scott Bakula told attendees at last weekend's San Diego Comic-Con that his 1990s show could see a rebirth as a film. "Quantum Leap" aired from 1989 to 1993, and has been rerun in syndication from time to time ever since. "Quantum Leap" centered around a scientist who realized he could travel in time through his own lifetime, taking over people, and setting history right. The panel, hosted by TV Guide executive editor Craig Tomashoff, Bakula -- who also made a name as the star of the short-lived "Star Trek: Enterprise" on Upn -- proclaimed his love for his character of Sam Beckett. "This is what I'm known for, and it's a great show to be known for," he said. Donald ...

Friday is Star Wars Day at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con, but that doesn't mean horror hounds won't find a lot to do there as well. In fact, if you're lucky enough to get into Hall H early in the morning, you'll have a chance to see Nicolas Cage and Nicolas Cage's hair!

"I think viewers are going to be happy to see this lineup of great new shows that will truly fit the NBC legacy of quality, culturally defining shows."That was Angela Bromstad, president of NBC Entertainment, unveiling the television network's 2009-10 lineup to the media last May. NBC planned to do nothing short of change the way broadcast networks program their schedules, a tradition-rooted process built on viewing habits formed over generations.Oops.Come December, Bromstad...
