- Elisabeth Rose Tyler's passion for storytelling began with her first collection of fairy tales. In those pages she found a place filled with magic and wonder, where anything was possible.
Elisabeth graduated from Fordham University with a BA in Communications. Her desire to be involved in film production inspired her to write and direct the short film If The Shoe Fits. She then produced the documentary, Living Proof: HIV and the Pursuit of Happiness, which played in theaters and on TV.
Wanting to be where the magic happened, she became a script supervisor: a technical advisor to the director who oversees the continuity of a motion picture and acts as the editor on set. This career helped her become a valuable part of a creative team while honing her keen eye for detail. She supervised several independent movies with stars such as Tim Roth, Claire Danes and Jude Law. Once in the Script Supervisor's Union, Local 161 I.A.T.S.E, she got her big break working with Director Spike Lee on He Got Game, starring Denzel Washington, Ray Allen and Milla Jovovich. She then script supervised the movie Mickey Blue Eyes, with producer Elizabeth Hurley and stars Hugh Grant, James Caan and Jeanne Tripplehorn.
During this exciting time, Elisabeth began to write her own stories. Her historical drama was a semifinalist in the Scriptapalooza Screenwriting Competition, while her thriller earned a finalist position in the Page International Screenwriting Award. Her romantic comedy was a semifinalist in the ScreenCraft Comedy Competition.
Her middle grade fantasy adventure novel about courage and self-discovery won her acceptance at the coveted Rutgers University Council on Children's Literature. Through her many adventures in life and storytelling, Elisabeth has used her imagination and love of story to discover that anything is in fact possible.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Elisabeth Rose Tyler
