Artist Guy Vasilovich created this stunning piece of art inspired by Disney's Sleeping Beauty. It's called Dragon's Gate and it features the heroic prince coming face to face with the evil dragon Maleficent. This scene was pretty terrifying seeing as a kid, and in my opinion it's one of the best dragon designs ever created for film. Here's a note from the artist:
"As an ardent fan of Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, particularly the dragon sequence, I was drawn to the design concept of the small wings in scale to the dragon. That characteristic rendered Maleficent flightless even with all of her magic.Asking myself, “What if…?”, prompted me to to explore the battle from an aerodynamic attack by the dragon, thus the larger wings.I purposely omitted the three fairy godmothers to help give the scene an “impossible situation” look and feel."Thanks to Acme Limited!

Watch 8 film clips from Fox Home Entertainment's Lego Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out, now available on Blu-ray/DVD from March 26th. Being a big Lego fan (who isn't, right?), I find the characters in Star Wars extremely cute and the kids will absolutely fall in love with all 22 minutes of the short, and effective release. Guy Vasilovich directs from the writing by Michael Price, with Joshua Walker producing The Empire Strikes Out. Voice talents include Anthony Daniels, Kenneth Colley, Brian Blessed, Julian Glover, Lloyd Floyd, Matt Sloan, Ahmed Best, Lisa Fuson, John Armstrong, Andy Secombe, Tom Kane and Sam Witwer.
