If you ask Ann Wilson what her favorite Led Zeppelin song is, she’ll answer right away: “The Rain Song.” And if you ask her what led to her first tour in five years with her sister Nancy, she’s just as honest.
“We just got really tired of not playing together, and we both wanted to do a Heart tour,” Ann, 73, tells me. “So then there is this question hanging in the air: Can Heart be Heart without Ann or can Heart be Heart without Nancy? It never could.

It turns out Jimmy Fallon wasn’t the only late-night host who took to the roof to watch the solar eclipse earlier this week.
In a new behind the scenes clip posted to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s Instagram account, Colbert and team are seen taking in the eclipse from the rooftop of the Ed Sullivan Theatre building, and on the street outside their studio doors.
Colbert is seen remarking on the crescent shaped shadows cast by the eclipse, while his dog Benny chews on a pair of solar glasses. As Colbert explained in his monologue Monday, the show changed its schedule so that the staff could bear withness to the once-in-forty years event.

Every now and then, Jimmy Fallon gets a little bit lonely, and every now and then, he gets a little bit tired of listening to the sound of his tears — so this year’s solar eclipse was actually a great way for him to have a communal, shared experience. While the streets of New York were filling with people hoping to catch a glimpse of the rare cosmic event, Fallon was on the NBC rooftop performing Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart” with The Tonight Show musical guests Heart.

The debut of Meghan Markle‘s American Riviera Orchard lifestyle brand was another break from royal life for the Duchess of Sussex. However, one royal commentator believes Meghan “threw it all away, she could have had it all.” Here’s why.
Meghan Markle ‘threw it all away’ to debut bold lifestyle brand
On March 14, Meghan Markle debuted a lifestyle brand named American Riviera Orchard. The company’s Instagram page shares no details but directs followers to an official website.
The website encourages followers to add their email to a waitlist. Subsequently, information regarding products or services needs to be listed for Meghan’s next career move.
However, royal author Angela Levin believes Meghan Markle could have “had it all.” She shared her thoughts with GBNews.

Meghan Markle is under fire for her new lifestyle brand. Well, not the brand itself, but rather when she unveiled it. The date the Duchess of Sussex revealed her latest business venture is being seen by some as a chance to “cash in” on Princess Diana’s legacy, according to a royal author.
Meghan announced American Riviera Orchard the same day as the Princess Diana Legacy Awards
March 14, 2024, proved to be a busy day for the British royal family. Prince William and Prince Harry attended the same event. Meghan also announced her next project, a lifestyle brand called American Riviera Orchard.
The Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex attended The Diana Legacy Awards that day. The appearance was a rare one as William’s stayed largely out of the public eye during Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis, which wouldn’t be announced until March 22, 2024.

Martha Stewart has some very simple advice for Meghan Markle as she embarks on her latest project, a lifestyle brand. She suggests the Duchess of Sussex focuses on the products and customers for American Riviera Orchard, which is, after all, “what it’s all about.”
Martha Stewart’s advice for Meghan: ‘Produce good products’
Following Meghan’s American Riviera Orchard announcement (more on that later), Stewart, 82, shared her advice for the British royal. Speaking to Extra’s Billy Bush at the Nassau Paradise Island Wine & Food Festival in the Bahamas, Stewart shared she’s “flattered” Meghan looks up to her in the lifestyle space.
“I just read that today. I’m flattered.” Stewart replied with a laugh when Bush shared that Meghan “wants to become a brand like Martha Stewart.”
As for Stewart’s advice for the former Suits star: “Produce good products that work and will help the homemaker have a nicer life.

Meghan Markle’s leaving her name out of her new lifestyle brand, American Rivieria Orchard. According to an expert, it could be for a few good reasons. A reunited Heart performed their first show in over four years on Wednesday night (December 27th) at the Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Highland, California.
The legendary rock group fronted by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson had previously announced a New Year’s Eve reunion concert in their hometown of Seattle, Washington. It appears Heart scheduled a few warm-up gigs, as the Highland show will be followed by a performance on Thursday (December 28th) at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California.
Wednesday’s concert was Heart’s first since October 2019 and saw the band running through a career-spanning set including hits such as “Magic Man,” “Crazy on You,” and “Barracuda.” The Wilson sisters would close out the evening with a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven,” reprising their famous performance of the song at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012 — a rendition that brought Robert Plant, who was in attendance,...

There’s a reason the word honors is in the title. To help celebrate the lifetime contributions of artists in music, dance, theater, opera, movies and TV, the Kennedy Center Honors routinely pay tribute to its recipients by rewarding them with memorable performances.
Scores of artists have been feted since the Honors got their start in 1978, but there are certain tributes that remain sketched in our hearts forever. Following a critically acclaimed Netflix adaptation, Walter Tevis’ 1983 novel The Queen’s Gambit is heading to Broadway. What’s more, the musical adaptation will feature music and lyrics written by Mitski.
In a statement, Mitski explained that she had been “a fan of the Netflix show, and an even greater fan of the original novel” before being approached for the musical, which was first reported to be in the works back in 2021.
“I was already determined to be a member of this team,” Mitski explained, but that determination only “grew tenfold” after meeting her collaborators, Eboni Booth and Whitney White. Mitski continued, “I absolutely had to be a part of this! I am ecstatic to get to work with all of these amazing creatives, who’ve each built beautiful and unique repertoires of their own.”

On May 5, 1979, the writers of Fantasy Island made a strange decision. After 35 successful episodes in which guests paid to live out dreams such as being a king, marrying a millionaire, finding the fountain of youth and having a harem, they offered viewers “The Comic,” in which a guy gets to be a stand-up.
Over the next decades, industries would rise to whisk money from middle-aged middle management in exchange for fulfilling their deepest wishes. They got to put on Dodger uniforms with their names on the back and practice grounders with Steve Garvey at baseball fantasy camps. Play guitar in a band with Roger Daltrey at rock fantasy camps. Get B-12 shots in their ass with Gwyneth Paltrow at the In Goop Health conference. Which makes sense. Because those things are fun. People spend their weekends in softball leagues, playing in bar bands with co-workers and getting detox massages. They...

Attendees at Ann Wilson’s show in Santa Rosa, California Tuesday night (October 10th) got a special surprise when she brought out her sister and Heart bandmate Nancy Wilson onstage, marking the first time the two have performed together since 2019.
“Ladies and gentlemen, we have the answer to a question with us tonight,” Ann said from the stage. “A very, very good friend — more than a friend…let’s bring her out. Come on.”
Naturally, the two then performed Heart’s 1977 classic “Barracuda.” Per Setlist.fm, it was the closing number for the evening, during which Ann also played handful of other Heart songs along with covers of John Lennon, The Who, Queen, and Led Zeppelin. See a clip of the Wilsons doing “Barracuda” together below.

After a few tumultuous years that saw them have a falling out and then reconciling, sisters Nancy and Ann Wilson of Heart are working on new music together.
Seven years after Heart released their last album (2016’s Beautiful Broken), Nancy revealed that the wheels are turning on new music in a conversation with Joe Rock of New York radio station 102.3 Wbab. In the interview, she also talked about some of her other musical projects, including one called “Tomboy,” which sees her covering songs originally written by men.
“I think right now I’ve been working on ‘Tomboy’ the most because I love the title, for one thing; it’s almost like boygenius or something,” she explained (as transcribed by Blabbermouth). “But I’ve got a bunch of new ideas for songs. Bob Dylan considered himself a fan of The Beatles, even early in their career. He found their innovation impressive and knew they would be a success. When discussing their music, though, Dylan admitted that he did not view them as a rock ‘n’ roll band. He believed that British people typically were not making rock music.

When Dylan first heard The Beatles, he found them incredibly impressive, noting that their ability to work together as a band shone through in their songs.
“They were doing things nobody was doing,” he told Rolling Stone in 1972. “Their chords were outrageous, just outrageous, and their harmonies made it all valid. You could only do that with other musicians.”
He said that he always knew they had staying power, even when others doubted it.

On his better days, Billy Crudup is Russell from Stillwater. Or at least, that's what he says in the Cameron Crowe film "Almost Famous" about a young — like really young — journalist for Rolling Stone who goes on tour with the fictional band in order to write about them for the magazine. The film, which revolves around said touring rock band, has always been about more than just the music, but at the center of Stillwater is Crudup's character Russell Hammond and Jason Lee's Jeff Bebe. Crudup plays the extremely talented lead guitarist for the band while Lee takes on the role of the lead singer.
In the movie, Russell ends up befriending 15-year-old journalist William Miller (Patrick Fugit), mentoring him, and allowing him access to the backstage life and inner workings of Stillwater and their group of roadies all while getting into constant tiffs with Jeff over which member...
