While The Marvels may not have been the blockbuster sequel that Marvel Studios was hoping for, it did contain one element that had fans talking: a cameo by none other than Beast of the X-Men. The reveal was a big surprise to audiences, even Teyonah Parris, who was actually in the scene but had no idea she would be sharing the screen with the iconic X-Men character.
In The Marvels‘ mid-credits scene, Monica Rambeau (Parris) wakes up in a hospital bed to find an alternate version of her mother as well as X-Men’s Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast. Although the character was a digital creation this time around, he was voiced by Kelsey Grammer, who played the role in X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
While chatting with Et’s Ash Crossan, Parris revealed she was just as surprised as everyone else when Beast appeared on screen.

Well, by starring in “Rebel Moon,” which Zack Snyder originally pitched to Lucasfilm as a “Star Wars” movie before making it his own thing after the studio rejected it, Charlie Hunnam is at least getting a little taste of that galaxy far, far away.
But Hunnam was once up for one of the biggest “Star Wars” roles of all: Anakin Skywalker, the Jedi Knight who’d become Darth Vader. The role ultimately went to Hayden Christensen, but in a new interview with Et’s Ash Crossan, the actor talks about how he actually met with George Lucas for the role. Though at first, he had a little trouble remembering that he was even up for the part.
“I had forgotten that too, but yes, I did. I got to the point where I was meeting George Lucas, you know? Which… I don’t think he meets a lot of actors,...

The release of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is a mere week away, which means that the DC Extended Universe will be coming to an end, but will it be the last time we see Jason Momoa as the King of Atlantis?
Unfortunately, Jason Momoa seems to think so. While speaking with Entertainment Tonight‘s Ash Crossan, the actor said, “I don’t necessarily want it to be the end… [but] I don’t think it’s really, like, a choice… The truth of it is, I mean, if the audience loves it, then there’s a possibility. But right now, I’m like, ‘It’s not looking too good.’“
With James Gunn and Peter Safran setting the stage for a new DC Universe, very few actors will be reprising their Dceu roles. Even if Jason Momoa doesn’t return as Aquaman, he hopes that he will still have a part...

Sony's "Madame Web" trailer might be the most ridiculous trailer for a major studio release I've seen in a hot minute. There are just so many bizarre moments that jump out at you. Dakota Johnson playing a Manhattan paramedic who inexplicably gains clairvoyant powers that grant her visions like those from a "Final Destination" film? The way the trailer just throws a trio of female spider-heroes right at you? Johnson's Cassandra Webb magically gaining the ability to fight and drive ambulances like a seasoned pro thanks to her newfound future-seeing visions? Who is she, Bradley Cooper in "Limitless"? Sony refusing to call its latest (Peter Parker-free?) Spider-Man spinoff a superhero movie and referring to it as a "suspense-driven thriller" is merely the bow on top of this pile of nonsense.
However, there is one moment that stands out above all the others. That would be the one where Cassandra...

Marvel President Kevin Feige is typically cagey about giving Marvel Cinematic Universe secrets to the press. Still, while speaking with Entertainment Tonight’s Ash Crossan, he let a few tidbits fly about the MCU’s future. While speaking with Crossnan at the Las Vegas premiere of The Marvels, Feige dished about the possibility of Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson returning to the land of capes and tights.
While Feige hesitates to say much about Downey Jr. suiting up as Iron Man for another MCU project, he assures Crossnan that Johansson’s mystery MCU project is still happening. Feige says he and Johansson have not discussed the chances of her Black Widow character returning to the MCU. However, he did tease that another project is in the works.

Somewhere, in a galaxy far, far away, Darth Vader screams the word “No!” I’ve got upsetting news if you’ve waited years for Kevin Feige to begin work on his Star Wars feature. Your space princess is in another castle. While waxing rhapsodic with Entertainment Tonight about Marvel Studios’ latest superhero spectacle, The Marvels, Feige confirmed his Star Wars project is no longer in development.
Initially, Feige would develop and produce a new movie in the Star Wars Universe. However, the Marvel Cinematic Universe needs his full attention, with dozens of film and television projects on the horizon. Feige’s Star Wars film had Loki creator Michael Waldron writing the script, but that’s about as far as details went.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Ash Crossan asked Feige if there’s any chance we’ll hear more about his Star Wars movie. “No,” Feige responded, finally putting rumors about...

Samuel L. Jackson has his eyes set on more Marvel.
Et’s Ash Crossan spoke to Jackson at the premiere of his new Disney+ series, “Secret Invasion”, where he revealed which Marvel franchise he wants to be cast in next.
“I don’t know, it’s kind of up and down for me in an interesting sort of way,” Jackson said of his character, Nick Fury, who first came onto the scene 15 years ago in 2008’s “Iron Man”. “Because, if I had it my way, I would’ve been in every Marvel movie ’cause I mean he is Nick Fury, he knows everything that’s going on. I’m still trying to figure out why I’ve never been to Wakanda.”
He continued, “They didn’t ask me to go, but I’m still trying to get there. I need a ticket.”

Nicolas Cage’s career takes a turn for the metatextual in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. The 2022 movie, which also stars Pedro Pascal, incorporates large parts of the actor’s filmography and on-screen persona into an outlandish story about passion, fandom, and a plot to take down an international arms dealer. Director and co-writer Tom Gormican’s willingness to mix reality and fiction didn’t stop with the script. A disagreement between Cage and Pascal over the appearance of a prop made it into the final cut of the film.

The Dolby Theater became home to the Star Wars fandom on Friday night, with viewers gathering for a screening of episodes of “The Mandalorian” along with a panel at the 2023 PaleyFest Los Angeles. Pedro Pascal and Katee Sackhoff, stars of the Disney+ live-action series, and executive producers Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni and Rick Famuyiwa joined Entertainment Tonight’s Ash Crossan to talk everything Mando.
Filoni took the stage wearing his iconic black cowboy hat, while Pascal giggled at heckling fans who shouted “papi chulo!” and other comments pertaining to his good looks.
Since its premiere in 2019, “The Mandalorian” has shocked “Star Wars” fans, starting, of course, with the reveal of the oh-so endearing Grogu (aka Baby Yoda) in Season 1, followed by the appearance of Luke Skywalker in Season 2. In April 2022, an unusual movie starring Nicholas Cage and Pedro Pascal was released. The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent was about a movie star named Nic Cage whose career is dwindling, and so he takes a strange job that quickly spirals out of control. One particular scene in the movie has recently spawned a huge number of memes, but Pascal isn’t focused on that. He’s mostly thinking about the fact that he’d be really interested in doing another movie with Cage.
Pedro Pascal and Nicholas Cage made a movie with an unusual premise
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is a strange movie, even by the standards of Cage’s eclectic career. In the movie, he plays Nic Cage, an actor. In the film, Nic is a has-been who is now broke. To earn some money, he accepts an offer from a rich fan, Javi, played by Pascal.

Brody stopped to chat with Et’s Ash Crossan, and opened up about the fun outing, while also playfully joking about his wife’s stylish bangs.
“It’s bang night!” Brody said with a laugh. Although he himself has no plans on getting bangs, for the most adorable reason.

Tracy Lauren Marrow had one of the coolest stage names when he entered the rap game, dubbing himself with a moniker that’ll forever be synonymous with hip-hop: Ice-t. Nearly 40 years later, Mariska Hargitay has now revealed she has a fresher nickname for him, if not a cooler one.
The revelation came to light on Thursday at Ice-t’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. While presenting the legendary rapper, and actor, Hargitay said one of the reasons why she loves Ice-t is because he allows her to call him nicknames. While at the podium, she turned to her “Law & Order: Svu” co-star and practically begged him if she could divulge the nickname only she’s allowed to call him.
Unable to contain his laughter, Ice-t relented, prompting Hargitay to exclaim, “He lets me call him Icy!” Following the presentation of his newly minted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,...

David Harbour is a relative newcomer to the MCU — he debuted his role as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian in 2021’s Black Widow and is set to reprise the character in the upcoming Thunderbolts team-up.
So when it came time to learn everything he could about his future castmates, he turned to We Have a Ghost co-star Anthony Mackie, who had some particular advice about his franchise frenemy, Sebastian Stan, who will also be appearing in Thunderbolts as Bucky Barnes, aka The Winter Soldier.
“Sebastian is a very nice person,” Mackie said with a grin as he and co-star Jahi Di’Allo Winston spoke with Et’s Ash Crossan this week.
“Don’t take his quietness and standoffishness as him being mean or rude. You just have to warm him up a little bit,” he teased. “You know, give him some almond butter, talk to him a little bit. He’ll be fine.

Spoiler alert! Warning: spoilers ahead for “The Last of Us” episode 3, titled “Long Long Time”. Proceed with caution if you haven’t watched!
“The Last of Us” introduced another fan-favourite character from the video game series in Sunday’s all-new episode, only for them to meet their end in a tragic way — and surprise fans by veering off course from the game’s canonical story.
In the first “Last of Us” video game, over the course of their journey, Joel and Ellie meet up with Bill, a survivalist who gives them grief when they ask to borrow his car. They also find a letter from his late partner, Frank, and the implication that the pair were in a relationship prior to Frank’s death by suicide after he was infected.

Spoiler alert! Spoilers ahead for episode 2 of The Last of Us, titled “Infected”.
Sunday’s episode of The Last of Us kept the emotions coming as fans got to see one of the most heartbreaking deaths in the game canon play out onscreen.
Following her introduction as Joel’s (Pedro Pascal) partner and companion in the premiere, Tess (Anna Torv) met her tragic end in episode 2, as she realized she had been infected and made the decision to sacrifice herself in order to save Joel and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) from a hoard of infected attackers.
Torv admitted to Et’s Ash Crossan that she’s “not a very good gamer” and didn’t have much knowledge of The Last of Us prior to taking the role. She read the scripts and watched cutscenes from the video game to learn Tess’ story, and worked with Pascal to develop their on-screen dynamic.

Critics got their first peek at “Lightyear” on Wednesday night, the first Pixar movie to get a theatrical run since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. The previous four “Toy Story” films have all been players at the Oscars (with “Toy Story 3” actually nominated for Best Picture) so eyes are always on this company for Awards Season.
But “Lightyear,” famously, is not a “Toy Story” movie. It’s an origin story for the toy voiced by Tim Allen, but this time about the “character” of Buzz (e.g. the movie that inspired the toy tie-in) and he’s voiced by Chris Evans. Everybody got that?
Other voice talent includes Keke Palmer, James Brolin, Isiah Whitlock, Jr., Uzo Aduba, and the ubiquitous Taika Waititi. The director is Angus MacLane, who has been working with Pixar since 1998, and was co-director on “Finding Dory.”

To the surprise of nobody, Disney and Lucasfilm are keeping very quiet about the upcoming "Obi-Wan Kenobi" series. Ewan McGregor had to lie about it for years. They're not going to tell us anything. So, we're left to extrapolate what we can when some poor actors try to say nothing, while saying something, during press junkets. Luckily, Sung Kang recently spilled some tea during an interview. And it's substantial! Relatively speaking. His character, who does not yet have a name, is going to have a lightsaber!

Marvel has officially released the first trailer for Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld’s “Hawkeye” series on Disney+, but fans are latching on to one particular Easter egg in the footage — and it has nothing to do with either archer. Instead, the standout is some signage for a show that’s hit Broadway in the MCU: “Rogers: The Musical.”
The poster for the show pops up just a few seconds into the trailer, looking pretty similar to “Hamilton” levels of hype. Fans get a brief glimpse of the stage action later in the trailer, as an actor playing Steve Rogers performs a huge dance number, apparently surrounded by fictionalized versions of the other five original Avengers (the production is presumably acting out the Battle of New York at some point).
As a result, Marvel fans have a whole lot of ideas about what “Rogers: The Musical” might look like.

“WandaVision” debuts in less than a week on Disney+, marking the first new Marvel Studios project to be released in more than a year. And lucky for all you Marvel Cinematic Universe fans, the first reactions from those who have seen Episodes 1-3 of the Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany-led show are very positive.
“WandaVision” reunites Olsen and Bettany as their Marvel Cinematic Universe characters, Wanda Maximoff and Vision, and finds the two living an idyllic suburban life in Westview. Of course, nothing is what it seems, mostly because Vision is still very much dead following “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.”
“WandaVision” also features the returns of Kat Dennings and Randall Park as their McU characters, Darcy Lewis and FBI agent Jimmy Woo. Kathryn Hahn and Teyonah Parris also star, with the latter actress playing the grown-up version of Monica Rambeau from “Captain Marvel.”

Social media reactions to first viewings of the upcoming Disney+ show “WandaVision” are starting to trickle in ahead of the series premiere on January 15.
So far, there’s plenty of euphoric praise for the Marvel Cinematic Universe spinoff, which centers on Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) as they try to live out an idealized suburban life in the small town of Westview, where the residents don’t know about their powers. But the border between reality and illusion stars to blur for the pair in this series created by Jac Schaeffer, based on the Scarlet Witch character created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
The series is directed by Matt Shakman. Schaeffer serves as the head writer and executive produces alongside Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige. The series also stars Kathryn Hahn in a zany role, plus Teyonah Parris, Kat Dennings, and Randall Park.
