Russell Goodrick

Russell Goodrick was born in Manchester, England, United Kingdom. Goodrick commenced his career in 1964, by joining 2GB radio station in Sydney, NSW, Australia. He would return to the UK for as few years - as a DJ at Harrods, and also joining Harlech TV.
Returning to Australia, he became a reporter and newsreader for MTN9 in Griffith, and later for GMV6 in Shepparton. In 1971, he moved to Sydney's TCN 9.
In 1974, Goodrick moved to Perth, Western Australia, where he joined TVW7, then moved to STW9, where he became chief newsreader.
In 1985, Goodrick started MRG International, launching MRGTV in 2009.
After a short battle with necrotizing pancreatitis, he passed away in May 2021.
He is survived by his two sons, Tom and Rodney Goodrick.
