Yasmeen El-Hawary is a professional Egyptian actress and dancer based in Cairo and Los Angeles. She started acting in theater in 2006, then starred in kids TV shows until 2009. She has a Filmmaking BA from the high institute of cinema of Cairo, an Acting MFA from New York Film Academy, along with associate degrees in Classical dancing, Psychology and fashion design. She kick-started her acting career as an adult in 2016 by headlining Egyptian TV show "Kelmet Serr". She's also the first Egyptian candidate to win a Fulbright Masters scholarship in the Field of Acting. She is best known for her work in Egyptian television shows and in the short film "Youth" which won 1st place in the palm springs film festival and was Oscars Eligible. She is also the director and choreographer of the first Egyptian theatrical musical production in New York Film Academy history in 2022.
In addition to her vocal training, Yasmeen is a former principle dancer in one of the Cairo opera house's dance companies. Her repertoire includes: Carmen, Chopiniana, Black swan, Kitri and Soma.
