Major Lazer is currently gearing up to release their new album. Titled Peace Is The Mission, it’s set to drop on June 1st and boasts a number of big name collaborators. Already, we’ve heard the excellent “Lean On,” which featured MØ and DJ Snake, and “Night Riders,” which brought in 2 Chainz, Pusha T, Travi$ Scott and Mad Cobra. Now, we have the album’s third track in the form of “Powerful.”
With Ellie Goulding on vocals and Tarrus Riley providing the hook, the song is certainly a bit of a departure for the dancehall group. A bit of Major Lazer’s signature R&B/Jamaican roots are sprinkled throughout with the instrumentals, but for the most part, “Powerful” is a much more low key affair than we usually hear from Diplo, Walshy Fire and Jillionaire.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say that this is a out and out ballad,...

We’ve reviewed every summer movie season since 1980 to find out which are the best, and which are the worst. Last week we posted our picks for the worst, and here we post our picks for the best.
2015 and 2016 may just be the most overthetop summer movie seasons yet. It seems like nearly every movie slated for a summer 2015 or 2016 release is heavily anticipated. Because of these impending summers of movie awesomeness, we’ve decided to take a look back at summer movie seasons of years past. The idea of the summer movie season is currently in full swing, but it didn’t catch on immediately. Hollywood had to do its fair share of experimenting to determine what types of films would be most successful. As a result, some summer movie seasons have been better than others. We’ve reviewed them all for you and ranked them from worst to best.

Tomorrow, Major League Baseball will celebrate its annual Jackie Robinson Day, and all players and umpires will wear jerseys with the number 42, which Robinson, the first African-American player in the Mlb, made famous. Don’t be surprised if the execs at Warner Bros. join in on the fun. The studio did have a grand slam weekend, after all.
Warner Bros.’ new baseball drama 42 topped the box office with $27.3 million — far ahead of recent baseball titles like Moneyball ($19.5 million debut) and Trouble with the Curve ($12.2 million). In fact, 42 scored the best ever debut for a baseball film, surpassing The Benchwarmers’ $19.7 million bow.

Oxygen Media announced that world-famous supermodels Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha will join renowned supermodel and businesswoman Naomi Campbell on “The Face,” a new reality competition series that features aspiring female models in their quest to win the opportunity of becoming “the face” for a well-known brand. This powerhouse trio of supermodel coaches will be responsible for molding, nurturing and transforming the promising contestants as they compete for the career opportunity of a lifetime. Additionally, famed fashion photographer and former model Nigel Barker will host the series. Oxygen has also tapped Andrew Frank, a veteran showrunner (“The Amazing Race” and “Survivor”), as executive producer. Produced by Shine America, “The Face” is scheduled to air in 2013 and casting for the aspiring models is currently underway. For more information, visit www.oxygen.com and follow us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/OxygenPR.
Oxygen viewers will gain access inside the world of modeling with “The Face,” which features three teams of models, each led by supermodel coaches Campbell, Kurkova and Rocha. The coaches will scout and choose their teams from aspiring young models nationwide before guiding them through assignments, which include photo shoots, runway shows and commercials for some of America’s best known brands. Throughout the series, the supermodel coaches will mentor these young hopefuls taking the lessons and skills they have learned and using them to guide their teams through challenges that accurately depict what it takes to have a career as a model and be the face of a brand. During the process, these young models will be exposed to the very best photographers, stylists and designers in the fashion world. In the end, one girl will be chosen to become ‘The Face’ of a well-known brand, earning a real contract as the brand ambassador. As the image of this brand, the winner will become a spokesperson for that company, representing it from all angles – in print, on-air and at brand-hosted events.
Naomi Campbell (Supermodel Coach)
One of the five original supermodels, Campbell was born in London and caught her break when she was 15 years old. She has graced the covers of more than 500 magazines during her career, and has been featured in campaigns for Burberry, Prada, Versace, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent and Valentino. She was the first black model to appear on the cover of Time magazine, French Vogue and Russian Vogue as well as the first British black model to appear on the cover of British Vogue. The runway was her domain as she showcased the collections of top designers, including Chanel, Azzedine Alaϊa, Christian Dior and Versace.
Additionally, Campbell has appeared in countless TV shows, music videos and films, including “The Cosby Show,” “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” Madonna’s “Erotica," Bob Marley's "Is This Love" and Michael Jackson's "In The Closet." Campbell is also responsible for an incredible amount of fundraising and charity work in South Africa and across the globe. She began charity work with Nelson Mandela in 1993, and in 1997 he named her “Honorary Granddaughter” for endless activism. In 2005, she established Fashion For Relief and hosted its first charity fashion show to raise funds for victims of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Since its conception in 2005, Fashion For Relief has presented shows in New York, London, Cannes, Moscow, Mumbai and Dar es Salaam, and has raised millions of dollars for various causes. Additional shows and events are scheduled to take place in Beijing and Hong Kong.
Karolina Kurkova (Supermodel Coach)- @karolinakurkova
Often called one of the last true supermodels, the Czech-born Kurkova has established herself as a fashion and entertainment icon, most notably gracing best-selling covers of fashion magazines worldwide, starring in numerous high-fashion campaigns, co-starring in a hit film franchise, and producing/starring in an international reality TV series. After becoming the youngest model to grace the cover of American Vogue at age 16, and being lauded as the "next supermodel" by its famed editor Anna Wintour, Kurkova walked the runways of haute couture fashion shows including Alberta Ferretti and Alexander McQueen. In 2005, she was named one of Victoria Secret's Angels and subsequently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007. In 2009, Kurkova starred in the live action film “GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra” and went on to play guest-starring roles on NBC's TV series “Chuck” and “30 Rock.”
More than a beautiful face, Kurkova received an award from the non-profit organization "Women Together" for her humanitarian work. She continues to campaign for the welfare of children through organizations such as AmFar, New Yorkers for Children and Global Youth Action Network. She has also done work on behalf of the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund and Wounded Warriors. Married in 2009, Kurkova's proudest accomplishment is the role of mom to her two year-old son, Tobin Jack.
Coco Rocha (Supermodel Coach)- @CocoRocha
Canadian born Supermodel Coco Rocha, a muse to designers Karl Largerfeld, Zac Posen and legendary photographer Steven Meisel, has been a favorite cover girl for high-fashion magazines around the world for the better part of the last decade. The 5’10” blue-eyed stunner, represented by Wilhelmina Models in New York, is a bold-faced name. She is as well known for strutting runways all over the world as she is for her tireless work with children's charities in Haiti and Cambodia. Rocha is an avid blogger and has positioned herself as one of the most digitally savvy models of her generation with her widely followed blog, Twitter and Facebook. She was the first high fashion model to surpass one million followers on the social media platform Google+.
Nigel Barker (Host)- @NigelBarker
Barker, best known for his participation as a judge and photographer on the reality show “America’s Next Top Model,” is an English author, spokesperson, filmmaker, fashion photographer and former model. Barker's photo credits include GQ, Interview, Lucky, Tatler, Cover, Town & Country, Seventeen, Nicole Miller, Ted Baker, Lands' End, Nine West, Lexus, Leviev, Jordache, Beefeater, Pamella Roland, Ford and Sony. Every summer, Hollywood releases most of its kid and teen movies. This year sees three swinging-for-the-fences comic book movies, the return of some M.I.A. franchises, and the usual animated and comedic fair. It's going to be a busy summer, so here is a calendar of movies that pertain to you so be sure to print this out.

June 1. Snow White and the Huntsman (PG-13): It's tough to be the second Snow White film to come out in a short time span, almost as tough as getting Kristen Stewart to change her facial expression. This version provides a much darker, grittier take on the fairy tale and is one of the most anticipated movies of the summer (in other words, buy your tickets early).

Harold And Maude (Criterion) Hal Ashby’s masterpiece of black humor centers on a wealthy young man (Bud Cort) who’s obsessed with death and the septuagenarian (Ruth Gordon) with whom he finds true love. As unabashedly romantic as it is quirky, with Cat Stevens supplying one of the great film scores of all-time. Fine support from Vivian Pickles, Cyril Cusack, Charles Tyner, and Ellen Geer. Fine screenplay by Colin Higgins. Also available on Blu-ray disc. Bonuses: Commentary by Hal Ashby biographer Nick Dawson, producer Charles Mulvehill; Illustrated audio excerpts from seminars by Ashby and Higgins; Interview with Cat Stevens. Widescreen. Dolby 2.0 stereo.
In Darkness (Sony) Agnieszka Holland’s Ww II epic tells the true story of a sewer worker and petty thief in Nazi-occupied Poland who single-handedly helped hide a group of Jews in the city’s labyrinthine sewer system for the duration of the war.

"Dancing with the Stars" week 8 continued with five remaining contestants doing two dances: one in the normal fashion and one choreographed "instantly" to music they learn during the broadcast. Ralph Macchio, who gave a scare prior to the performance due to his knee injury, held back his pain and got through the show on Monday night, May 9.
Chelsea Kane (aka Chelsea Staub) was the first who came out for the normal individual dance. She danced the waltz which was deemed "dancing of the highest quality" and "fabulous" by Bruno Toli. Carrie Ann Inaba said she "earned perfection tonight," but Len Goodman thought "occasionally you put too much emphasis on the story, not on the dance." Chelsea got 29 out of 30.
Current frontrunner Hines Ward danced the foxtrot which "was beaming with a blissful look of happiness," Bruno gushed. Carrie Ann and Len loved his cheesy performance with the former saying, "A little bit of cheesy Hines.

Everyone loves a good underdog. Maybe he’s the kid in school that just can’t win, like in Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules, or maybe they are just a misunderstood nerd that ends up saving the day in the end. Either way, underdogs have a special place in our heart, and that is why this weeks top ten is
Top Ten Underdogs (in children’s movies)
Be sure to tell us your picks too!!!
Honorable Mention: Daniel Larusso aka Daniel-san – The Karate Kid (1984)
The Karate Kid starring Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita is one of those movies that you either care nothing about or absolutely love. There’s not really anything in between and I happen to fall into the latter category. Obviously, I could start out by saying that the director was no other than John G. Avildsen (yeah, the guy that directed Rocky) and...

Comics tweeters returned from their Thanksgiving weekends to a couple of sad deaths in the world of entertainment. "Naked Gun" actor Leslie Nielsen and "Empire Strikes Back" director Irvin Kershner both cemented their status in film decades ago, and their fans and critics alike showed up in our feed this morning.
Elsewhere on Twitter, stars like Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga have been making headlines for not posting so they raise money for World AIDS Day. Brian Michael Bendis didn't seem impressed. Find out why after the jump, along with who Greg Rucka would like to see follow him and what Ron Marz thinks of Cyber Monday.

This episode of Burn Notice starts where we expect to see our spies have a meeting….a bar. Sam and Fiona begin to argue that Jesse is not fit for their team while Michael gives him the benefit of the doubt. Jesse shows up during the argument with drinks and soon changes Sams mind about being on the team. Jesse begins to talk to the others about why he came to Miami and tells them that he has information about some illegal weapons trade but his only source on this is from a person he calls "Cobra". Sam is not enthused by the name. Michael decides that maybe this is worth investigating.
The gang arrives at the dock to scope out what exactly they are dealing with. They find it is tough to get any info from any of the dock workers about where the ships with the weapons have come from.

"...until you find out who burned you, you're not going anywhere."
In Made Man, Michael is still dealing with the spy he accidentally burned (Coby Bell) as he tries to not only get to who let out Simon in last season's finale, but also not let on to Jesse Michael is the one who burned him. It's all pretty complicated, but when you add a mob boss to the mix, it gets crazy.
The episode starts off with Michael and Jesse getting along much better than they did last week. While the chemistry is still a work in progress, Jesse tells Team Weston about a bad guy who can get them a lead nicknamed "Cobra." The best part is the team thought it was as goofy as a name as you did reading it and made fun of it the whole time. The investigation lead to the docks, where during some snooping,...

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Land of the Lost each grabbed seven nominations for the 2010 Golden Raspberry Awards (Razzies), an annual event recognizing the worst movies had to offer.
The Michael Bay sequel made $835 million worldwide and placed second at the U.S. box office in 2009 while the Will Ferrell “comedy” tanked in its summer release, earning only half its budget back in the States. Both are in the running for “Worst Picture” along with critically panned All About Steve, the campy G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra, and the John Travolta/Robin Williams groaner Old Dogs.
Sandra Bullock was nominated for “Worst Actress of 2009″ for All About Steve literally the day before the Academy Awards announcements where she’s the front-runner for “Best Actress” in The Blind Side. No actor has ever been awarded both awards in the same year.

If you saw "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" this past weekend, then you already know that classic Cobra villain Dr. Mindbender was transformed from a maniacal madman into a mumbling scientist. And, like me, you probably thought "Okay, fine. Maybe the bald, shirtless, cloaked, monocle-and-purple-pants-wearing villain doesn't strike the same chord in a live action setting as he did in an '80s cartoon." If you thought that then, also like me, you'd be wrong.
Comedy website Funny Or Die has a higher opinion of Mindbender than the "Rise of Cobra" team did. The site is launching its own "G.I. Joe" parody today, with a star-studded cast that includes appearances from Olivia Wilde, Chuck Lidell and Tony Hale. Today's Daily TwitPic from @funnyordie delivers Hale as Mindbender, looking far different than he did as "Arrested Development" star Buster Bluth. Menacing? No. Hilarious? Maybe... I won't cast judgment...

Chicago – Adam Sandler can lay claim to another #1 film with this weekend’s opening of “Funny People,” co-starring Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann, Jonah Hill, and Jason Schwartzman, but the box office win was bittersweet as the film failed to deliver either by the standards of its star or even its acclaimed writer/director Judd Apatow.
Adam Sandler stars as George Simmons. “
Photo credit: Tracy Bennett and Universal Pictures According to Box Office Mojo, “Funny People” made $23.4 million over the weekend with a per-screen average of $7,793. They are not horrible numbers by any stretch, but they do fall below industry and studio expectations.
Two years ago, Judd Apatow’s “Knocked Up” opened with $31 million without the star power of Adam Sandler and even “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” nearly matched the opening of “Funny People” with just over $21 million in 2005.
“Funny People” also fell significantly short when compared to recent Adam Sandler openings.

I am still hoping to get together a Summer Preview of my own similar to last year's, but just haven't had a chance to get it sorted out, but for the time being it looks like the studios are ahead of me as today I received some new images from five of Paramount's six upcoming summer releases, which includes three new looks at the May 8 release of Star Trek. Each movie is featured below with a teaser image and the synopsis. By clicking on the "Browse the Gallery" links it will open a new window, which you can close to return to this article and continue the preview. Overall there are nine new images, but for the most part the galleries on a few of these were already quite large. Enjoy! Paramount Pictures has just unveiled their 2009 preview and in rather lackluster form I may say as new images from anticipated features such as Martin Scorese's Shutter Island, Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones and Star Trek were nowhere to be found. Fanboy favorites such as G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen also saw zilch in the updated imagery department. We do, however, have new pics from Eddie Murphy's next kid flick, the previously titled Nowhereland, now labeled as Imagine That and to be honest that is about as exciting as it gets in the updates department. All the cast, director and synopsis information is listed over the course of the next few pages as well as all the release dates for 15 new features. Surprisingly enough, only one of them is actual a Paramount Pictures solo release as the majority of these belong to their previous partner DreamWorks.

A music video in an attempt to promote Robyn's dance/electropop single "Cobrastyle" has been released. The video mostly shows the singer captured in all-white scenes, singing the tune with a band backing her up and two men painting abstract graffiti on the wall behind the crew. At some points, the Swedish singer is poured with various paints and colored powders, making her face and hair no longer white.
"Cobrastyle" is a song performed by Swedish band Teddybears featuring Mad Cobra from their 2004 album "Fresh". The track was then covered by Robyn on the international edition of her 2005 self-titled album and is also featured on her 2006 mini album "The Rakamonie". Robyn's version of the song peaked at number 26 on Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart since it was released in 2005.
