Now, we’re getting somewhere!
It’s been many weeks since there was any movement on the Shaw Family drama front, but Tracker Season 1 Episode 11 had a nice subplot that answered many questions and finally introduced to someone else in the family.
Colter’s sibling reunion, of course, surrounded a case, but the two opened up a communication line that seemed to have Colter questioning more things about his past.
Before getting into the Colter and Dory stuff, a very twisty and odd case was at the forefront here.
And it was a damn interesting one, with Colter first suspecting a college student may have just bitten off a little more than he could chew and then quickly realizing he’d found himself engaged in some pretty dark stuff.
A college student feeling overwhelmed and wanting to take a break certainly wouldn’t be abnormal. Still, from the sounds of things,...

The season of the very first sign of the zodiac is here, and that’s exactly why being a leader comes so easy for Aries folks.
And that’s no joke, Aries really don’t know what else to be but a boss, CEO or innovator, because they’d rather play by their own rules. They march to the beat of their own drum and rarely ever need anyone to play backup instrumentals. Their charm, playful personality and great sense of humor make up for their impulsiveness and sometimes hot-temper, and there’s absolutely no other sign who will keep it all the way real with you like an Aries does, even if it’s something you don’t want to hear. They tell it like it is, as dishonesty goes against their entire m.o.

Amy Duggar King welcomed her son, Daxton “Dax” Ryan in October of 2019 and now his grandmother, Deanna Duggar claims he died but came back after meeting God. Deanna is the sister of Jim Bob Duggar from TLC’s 19 KIds and Counting and Counting On. Read on to find out the details.
Deanna Duggar Claims Amazing Experience For Dax
Dax went to be with Jesus, but don’t stress about it. Miraculously, the son of Amy Duggar and Dillon King came back to tell the tale. According to his grandmother, it happened when he was 10 months old. So, it would have been in about August of 2020. Apparently, he fell down and injured his head.
Daxton King Aged 10 months – Amy King Instagram
Deanna Duggar talked about the injury at 10 months, but the only head injury TLC fans saw on Instagram came in April, about three years later. Of course, that’s not...

There are few greater pleasures, for me, than watching an old film that I have admired all my life resurrected in all its pristine glory. The distributor Eureka Entertainment is a dab hand at such home entertainment miracles and this week releases a Special Edition 4K Ultra-hd Blu-ray of Stanley Kubrick’s anti-war classic Paths of Glory. To be honest, I only watch the film about once a decade at most, but its power never diminishes. After watching it again, in the crispest print I have yet seen, I felt completely numb by the end. And rightly so. The war film has never been the same again since Saving Private Ryan in 1998, but Paths of Glory, made in 1957, summons up neither special effects nor the gore of war, just the abominable power of words and language, semantics used to distort the meaning of heroism and sacrifice.

The ladies on The View have been turning on each other lately, even more than usual.
The show’s premise is to debate the hot topics, not make digs at the other ladies on the panel. But it looks like that is all that has happened lately.
Recently, Joy Behar has been going after Sara Haines. Sara was sick this week, and Joy savagely mocked her age, calling her too old for Pms symptoms, implying she was menopausal.
Today, Joy and the ladies attacked Sara again, immediately putting her on the defensive. Joy did not give her a day back in her seat to recover after her illness before she pounced.
The broad topic Joy brought up became hyper-focused on Sara; her parenting caused Sara to explain her mindset.
It all began when Joy shared that Bradley Cooper went on Dax Shepherd’s podcast, Armchair Expert with Dax Shepherd, and...

Dax knew almost immediately the first line he wanted to write for “To Be a Man” when he heard the beat of the track.
In a new interview for Rolling Stone‘s The Breakdown, Canadian artist Dax and his producer Lex Nour give an inside look at the making of his hit song, which earned him a collaboration with none other than Darius Rucker.
“I walked in the room and [Lex} said, ‘Man, I got something crazy for you,'” he said, recalling when he heard the track for the first time. “The first thing I said was, ‘I can’t hide myself.’ That’s how it started.”
Dax also explained that he writes music from four perspectives: what he’s going through, what he’s avoiding, what he sees,...

Production on MaXXXine, the sequel to director Ti West‘s films Pearl (watch it Here) and X (watch that one at This Link), is said to have wrapped last May, around the time that production company and distributor A24 unveiled a first look image from the movie that shows franchise star Mia Goth alongside singer Halsey. (That image can be seen at the bottom of this article.) Things have been pretty quiet on the MaXXXine front since then, aside from news of a lawsuit being filed by a background actor – but now, thanks to the YouTube interview show What’s Under the Bed?, we have a bit of a status update from West, who also happened to show off a prop from the film during his interview.
At about the 26:37 point of the What’s Under the Bed? interview, West is asked about the props he has kept from the movies he has made.

The premise for "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" is a little complex for the non-Trekkie, but ripe for drama when one delves in.
The titular station, Deep Space Nine, was in orbit around the non-Federation world of Bajor. For the past several decades, Bajor had been militarily occupied by the Nazi-like Cardassians, a species that regularly enslaved and mass-murdered Bajoran citizens. At the outset of the series, the Cardassian occupation had just ended, and Bajor inherited their disused station. In order to aid the Bajoran restoration, Starfleet was assigned to run Deep Space Nine and to oversee the rebuilding of Bajor's government (which was already tilting dangerously close to a corrupt theocracy).
Commander Sisko (Avery Brooks) was the Starfleet officer put in charge of the broken-down DS9 and his first officer was the haughty former Bajoran resistance fighter, Major Kira (Nana Visitor). "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" was unique in...

In the "Star Trek: The Next Generation" episode "The Outcast", the crew of the Enterprise aids a species called the J'naii in locating and rescuing a missing shuttlecraft. The J'naii are a genderless species, claiming to have evolved past specific gender identities. In their society, any expression of maleness or femaleness is considered darkly taboo, and gendered sexual contact has been criminalized. Commander Riker (Jonathan Frakes) spends a great deal of the episode working with a J'naii pilot named Soren (Melinda Culea) and the two bond. Soren will eventually reveal that she feels more female than genderless and that she is attracted to Riker. When Soren's gender identity reaches the other J'naii officials, she is threatened with the sci-fi equivalent of a conversion camp.
By today's politics, "The Outcast" feels clumsy in its attempts to discuss gender identity. It can, however, be commended for even attempting to tell a trans...

At the very end of the first season of "Star Trek: Picard," after the story had concluded and everyone was headed back home, the violent bounty hunter Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) and Admiral Picard's close friend Raffi (Michelle Hurd) sat idly conversing. They reached out and began romantically holding hands, implying that the characters were initiating a romance. Previously throughout "Star Trek," both Seven and Raffi had only been seen having romances with men, so their respective bisexuality came as a pleasant surprise.
Sadly, at the start of the second season of "Picard," enough time had passed that Seven and Raffi had already dated for a while ... and had broken up. There was now a great deal of romantic resentment between them, and they had to struggle to fulfill their mission in the 21st century (the second season featured a time travel plot). Elizabeth Banks wants a 'Migration' sequel. The Benjamin Renner-directed Illuminations animation about a group of ducks getting lost in New York City has just hit cinemas, and the 49-year-old actress would love to return for a European adventure as the quick-witted Pam Mallard. She told RadioTimes.com: "Oh, we're going to Europe. You know, that's the next… we're definitely doing the Mediterranean, I think.”Whether or not a second film is in the works remains unknown. The star-studded voice cast also includes Kumail Nanjiani, Keegan-Michael Key, Awkwafina, David Mitchell, and Danny DeVito. The plot for the flick is: "In a New England forest, Mack Mallard constantly discourages his kids Dax and Gwen from venturing into the outside world much to the displeasure of his wife Pam."One day, the Mallards meet a flock of migrating ducks who are en route south to Jamaica which the family finds interesting, but Mack has no such interest.

Co-scripted by White (a vegan), and superbly voiced by the likes of Awkwafina and David Mitchell, this family comedy about migrating ducks is a fun ride with clipped wings
You could do worse at half-term than this new family animation from Illumination (the studio behind Sing and Minions). It’s a zany caper about a family of mallards; it’s not particularly original, with ideas and laughs that feel a little dusty, like they’ve been cobbled from bits and bobs knocking around the studio. But there are enough high jinks – as well as a seriously cute duckling – to keep it on the flight path.
In New England, a daddy duck called Mack (voiced by Kumail Nanjiani) is risk-averse and overprotective of his two kids: teenager Dax (Caspar Jennings) and that adorable duckling, Gwen (Tresi Gazal). Somehow, the kids twist Mack’s wing into migrating south for the first time,...

Gru, and the popular yellow minions, are back in Despicable Me 4, and here’s the trailer for the film.
The Minions might just be the most iconic animated creations of recent years. Since the release of Despicable Me in 2010, the excitable, anarchic creatures have embedded themselves in popular culture. So far, there have been three films in the main series, and two phenomenally successful solo outings – 2015’s Minions and 2022’s Minions: The Rise Of Gru. The former is in the top ten highest grossing animated films of all time.
That brings us to the fourth installment of the Despicable Me franchise, that’s arriving this summer. The synopsis reads as follows:
Following the 2022 summer blockbuster phenomenon of Illumination’s Minions: The Rise of Gru, which earned almost $1B worldwide, the biggest global animated franchise in history now begins a new chapter as Gru (Steve Carrell) and Lucy (Kristen Wiig) and their girls —Margo,...

(from left) Pam (Elizabeth Banks), Dax (Caspar Jennings), Gwen (Tresi Gazal) and Mack (Kumail Nanjiani) in Illumination’s Migration, directed by Benjamin Renner. Though we’re just seeing the film now, Elizabeth Banks has been involved with Migration for quite a while. Banks, who voices the character of the mother bird in a family that’s trying to migrate south for the winter, told us that the process of making Migration was impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, but that didn’t matter because the film’s themes are timeless. In a year in which The Boy and the Heron opened at #1 and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse pushed the boundaries of animation, Migration might seem a bit stuck in the past. The latest offering from Illumination – the Minions folks – is yet another family story of anthropomorphized animals on a road trip, but its warmth and humor make it a perfectly acceptable holiday distraction.
Mack (Kumail Nanjiani) and Pam (Elizabeth Banks) are mallards content raising their two ducklings – Dax and Gwen – on the same pond, year after year. Mack is overprotective, happy to keep the kids close by by telling them scary stories about life outside the pond. But when a group of migrating ducks inspires Pam and the kids, Mack tries to prove he’s fun and adventurous by organizing a spur-of-the-moment migration to Jamaica.

What to watch this Weekend (Dec 22-25): “Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom,” “Migration,” “Trolls Band Together,” “Saltburn,” “South Park: Not Suitable For Children,” “Fargo,” and More ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
This week, we have more than eight significant movies for consideration. Amid this cinematic abundance, I was compelled to narrow the selection to three noteworthy films. It’s not our usual practice to recommend multiple international movies, but this week offers an exception.
Now, let’s delve into the highlights for this week. “Rebel Moon” is making its streaming debut, promising an exciting watch. Disney has recently launched a new series, “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” adding to the entertainment roster. Furthermore, the conclusion of “A Murder at the End of the World” is now available for binge-watching, offering a perfect opportunity for those eagerly waiting.
In an unexpected move, Peacock has released all episodes of Season 2 of “Dr. Death,...

It’s the big holiday weekend, and for many families, it’s the perfect time for a big getaway. Oh, we’re not talking about a brief trek “over the river and through the woods”. Nope, how about a big excursion like the McCallister clan in the original Home Alone? Come to think of it, it’s strange that the Grisswalds don’t travel anywhere in Christmas Vacation, though Cousin Eddy drops in from afar. But I digress. Now if that’s what human families do, then how about animal families? To be more specific, those “fine feathered” families. Now in this new animated feature, it’s not ‘”yuletime”, but the temps are starting to fall prompting those web-footed folks to join a big southbound Migration.

A family of ducks ends up on the adventure of a lifetime when they decide to head south for the winter in Illumination’s animated film Migration.
Mack Mallard (voiced by Kumail Nanjiani) is an overprotective father who has found the perfect place to raise his two young ducklings, Dax and Gwen (voiced by Caspar Jennings and Tresi Gazal), alongside his wife, Pam (voiced by Elizabeth Banks). It’s a lovely, safe area known as Moosehead Lake and has everything they could ever need, including a pond, plenty of food, and even a fixer-up shelter.
The only problem? Pam, Dax, and even little Gwen are starting to become curious about what exists outside their little world. When a group of migrating ducks takes a rest stop at the pond, Pam and Dax strike up a conversation. The Moosehead Lake duck...

Benjamin Renner’s new comedy Migration offers a winning combination of a charming narrative and distinctive animation style. The film, which was written by White Lotus creator Mike White, is a tale of how a family of mallards embarks on an inspired journey from New England to Jamaica.
The Mallards, as they are aptly named, are a quartet of ducks living in a quiet pond somewhere in the Northeast. As in Renner’s striking 2012 animation Ernest & Celestine, Migration begins at bedtime. We meet Mack (Kumail Nanjiani) as he narrates a chilling story to his ducklings, Dax (Casper Jennings) and Gwen (Tresi Gazal), about the dangers of leaving their nest. He weaves an energetic tale about predatory herons and other monsters ready to devour adventure-seeking ducks. His stories have a fantastical edge to them — the preferred posture of overprotective parents. And they are brought to life by vivid 2D animations. There...

In a medium where stop-motion chickens organize elaborate escape plans, computer-generated ducks have to do a lot more than relocate to amuse us. Illumination’s “Migration” — about a fussy duck dad who reluctantly reconsiders his fear of flying — is a cartoon in search of a concept, where the most daring idea is hiring the Oscar-nominated co-director of 2012’s “Ernest & Celestine” and asking him to abandon that movie’s unique watercolor style in favor of a relatively standard digital approach. At least the backgrounds are eye-catching, as a waddle of mallards crack jokes amid beautiful fall foliage.
In the opening scene, director Benjamin Renner teases what “Migration” might have looked like had Illumination honcho Chris Meledandri let him stick to his signature aesthetic, rather than bend it to the studio’s house style: Emerald-headed, overprotective Mack tells his kids, Dax (Caspar Jennings) and Gwen (Tresi Gazal), scary bedtime stories so...

Illumination is a rare animation studio, in that they have landed upon a formula for the majority of their films and they seem perfectly content in hewing to that formula no matter what stories are being told. The studio thrives on mid-budget films that bring together a recognizable ensemble, some pop songs, and stories that feel vaguely cribbed from Pixar Animation Studios without being out-and-out plagiarism. Illumination, like DreamWorks, also leans heavily on turning its films into lengthy franchises, which has given us the obnoxious and leaden "Despicable Me" series (including its multiple "Minions" spin-offs), the obnoxious and leaden "Sing" films, and the obnoxious and leaden "The Secret Life of Pets" films. For this holiday season, Illumination is trying to do another original film, but much like the first "Secret Life of Pets", the new film "Migration" is original in name only, while feeling like a flavorless mishmash of "Finding Nemo" and "Ratatouille.

Chris Meledandri’s Illumination animation house has had a boatload of hits from Despicable Me and Minions to 2023’s global smash The Super Mario Bros Movie. But in between, this underrated (in terms of awards) producer of delightful and genuinely funny toons creates new franchises by embracing originals such as The Secret Life of Pets and Sing, winners both in my book. Now, just in time for the holidays, comes Migration, about a family of ducks on the adventure of a lifetime. It is the kind of animated entertainment that all ages will find something to like, and in terms of the creative talent involved, it is a breath of fresh air in the genre.

Between movies and television, Keegan-Michael Key has had more than two dozen voiceover jobs over the past two decades. But none of them has been like his new film, Migration, in which he plays a Jamaican parrot cooped up in a Manhattan restaurant. Key said he had a lot of fun trying an accent he’d never used before in his voiceover work. In the 1995 "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" episode "Our Man Bashir," the title character, Dr. Julian Bashir (Alexander Siddig), is in the station's holosuites, enacting a sexy, Ian Fleming-like spy story with his Cardassian paramour Garak (Andrew Robinson). Meanwhile, the rest of the station's senior staff are involved in a runabout accident, and they are beamed out of the explosion in the nick of time. The transporter, however, was also damaged, and the unique transporter patterns of the senior staff have to be stored in a secondary computer until it can be repaired. Perhaps predictably, the patterns end up in the same computer memory core that controls the holosuite, and the senior staff begin appearing -- as holograms -- in Bashir's spy adventure. If Bashir kills the holographic versions of his friends, their patterns will be deleted from the computer memory and they'll die.

Fall is in full swing, and before you know it, winter will arrive and flocks of birds will embark on their journey south for their migration. Illumination Studios is following up their Minions series and the new video game adaptation smash hit, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, with the particular story of a mallard flock who get side-tracked on their venture to Jamaica and find themselves fish out of water, so to speak, in the big city amongst a bunch of strange birds. The new trailer has just been released and gives audiences more of a peek at the plot.
The official synopsis from Illumination reads,
The Mallard family is in a bit of rut. While dad Mack is content to keep his family safe paddling around their New England pond forever, mom Pam is eager to shake things up and show their kids—teen son Dax and duckling daughter Gwen—the whole wide world.

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard‘s diaper and baby care brand, Hello Bello, is filing for bankruptcy.
The actors, who share two daughters, founded the company in 2019 with the goal of providing high-quality products at affordable prices for parents.
Erica Buxton, the chief executive officer of Hello Bello, explained the decision to file for Chapter 11 (a type of bankruptcy) in a press release.
Keep reading to find out more…
“Given macroeconomic trends, including inflation and increased shipping costs, we believe that this course of action is the best path forward to ensure that Hello Bello continues to bring families the highest quality and most environmentally friendly products at affordable prices,” Erica said.
The filing buys the company some time to repay creditors.
Hello Bello will be acquired by Hildred Capital Management, a private equity firm that focuses on the healthcare industry.
In August, Dax got real about his daughters’ future sex lives.

Tensions were rising on the latest ep of Dax Shephard’s podcast, “Armchair Expert“, which featured “Queer Eye” star Jonathan Van Ness as a guest.
The conversation between the two took a heated turn when the topic of transgender childhood transitioning took the spotlight. It all started when the two were pondering if The New York Times were more left-leaning or right-leaning, to which Ness propositioned were more right-leaning due to the publication’s stance on gender-affirming care for youth.

We’ve got a brand new commentary team, Nigel McGuiness and Kevin Kelly, with Jim Ross calling the highly anticipated main event. Speaking of which, let’s get into the review!
Match #1: TNT Championship Match – Luchasaurus def. Wardlow The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Wardlow and Luchasaurus tied up in the center of the ring. They traded shoulder blocks until Wardlow dropkicked Luchasaurus. Christian Cage whispered in Luchasaurus’ ear outside the ring. Wardlow followed in pursuit but Christian crawled under the ring, trying to find a place to hide. Christian provided just enough of a distraction to allow for Luchasaurus to blast Wardlow with a big boot. Wardlow hoisted up Luchasaurus on his shoulders and then planted him backwards. Wardlow steamrolled Luchasaurus with a lariat.

In the "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" episode "Trials and Tribble-ations", Captain Sisko (Avery Brooks) and several other members of the "DS9" crew had to travel back in time to avert a crisis. It seems a time-traveling assassin had inserted himself into the events of the original series "Star Trek" episode "The Trouble with Tribbles" and Sisko had to go undercover next to Captain Kirk (William Shatner) to prevent a bomb from blowing up. Using revolutionary special effects technology, Sisko, Dax (Terry Farrell), Dr. Bashir (Alexander Siddig), and others were inserted rather seamlessly into an episode that was shot 30 years prior. It was a novelty for "Star Trek," and one of the few times the franchise revisited its past in such a manner.
Many years later, "Star Trek: Prodigy" would do something similar in the episode "Kobayashi". The teenage Dal (Brett Gray) wanted to take a holographic version of Trek's...
