Ninja Theory took one challenge of breaking one stereotype in the gaming world to heart with their upcoming game Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. The game uses psychosis as a concept core to the video game’s narrative, giving a more vibrant taste of reality. The team certainly savored the flavor as they developed it in a new studio and with an enhanced team.
It is slated for a May 2024 release and picks off the story where the original game left off. Senua is to keep on with the journey alongside the Furies and hallucination which is less likely to be a cakewalk for players despite they know what follows. Truth be told, they may find Furies getting into the head effortlessly this time.
The Furies in Hellblade 2 Are a Real Deal One Cannot Miss Psychosis is one of the elements central to the game’s lore.

With 2017’s Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Ninja Theory showed they weren’t afraid to push the boundaries of storytelling and mental health representation. And now, with Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, they’re pushing them even further.
They’re not just amping up the graphics, but the immersion as well. They want players to feel like they’re right in the middle of the story. Studio head Dom Matthews recently spoke about their philosophy of maximum engrossment in an IGN interview.
Ninja Theory Wants You To Be In Senua’s Sandals
The developers went to Iceland to accurately capture environments for the game.
Matthews says the whole game is built around the idea of immersion. They want players to feel like they’re living Senua’s story, not just controlling it. This means more than just fancy graphics and flamboyant effects – it’s about making a world and characters that you really connect with.
