The new "Star Wars" series "The Acolyte" knows the truth that we all figured out in 2016 but then apparently forgot: Manny Jacinto should be in everything.
The actor, who put in one of the funniest TV performances of the past decade as Jason Mendoza in "The Good Place," hasn't appeared on screen nearly often enough since that sitcom's end, but "The Acolyte" is about to change that. The upcoming Disney+ series features an impressive ensemble cast, including "Bodies Bodies Bodies" star Amandla Stenberg, "Logan" breakout Dafne Keen, and "The Matrix" series alum Carrie-Anne Moss. Then there's Jacinto, who plays Qimir, a former smuggler whose life has seemingly settled down since he started working in the trading world (per ComicBook.com).
A mention of Qimir's newly comfortable status in his character biography implies that the former criminal wasn't always well-off. Jacinto seems to confirm as much in a new interview with Total Film.

Are you ready to see the Jedi hunted like never before?
Star Wars: The Acolyte’s first trailer was released this week, and it’s hard not to be worried about our lightsaber-wielding friends at the heart of this new tale.
Disney+ has revealed that the next chapter in the Star Wars universe focuses on an investigation into a shocking crime spree.
That crime spree involves a villain, played by Amanda Stenberg, wiping out as many Jedi as possible.
Lee Jung Jae plays a Jedi with a link to this villain, but will his character be able to outmaneuver this face from the past?
The streaming service teases, “As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems.”
Who will star in Star Wars: The Acolyte?
The impressive cast also includes Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson,...

Star Wars Celebration is happening right now in the U.K. and we are learning an awful lot about the future of a galaxy far, far away, both on the big and small screen. The opening day panel was all about the future of "Star Wars," and those in attendance were treated to a first look at the upcoming series "The Acolyte," which is set in The High Republic era, long before the beginning of the prequels. We're going back hundreds of years in the timeline, and the furthest back we've ever seen in live-action.
/Film was in attendance at the panel, and we've got all the details shared by the cast and crew, as well as a description of the footage that was shown. Showrunner Leslye Headland stepped out on stage to share what she could about what they're cooking up. "This is when the bad guys are outnumbered,...

Family secrets and expectations are a burden.
On The Cleaning Lady Season 2 Episode 2, Thony's in-laws hurled accusations and expectations, which overwhelmed the entire family, especially Thony and Chris.
It's only a matter of time before the guilt-ridden and stressed-out teenager cracks.
From the minute Lolo and Lola, aka Jacinto and Alma, arrive, the atmosphere in the De La Rosa family changes. Usually, the sisters are laid back with Chris, Jaz, and Luca, but the grandparents are old-fashioned and strict.
Marco was their golden child, and Jacinto blamed Thony for getting the police involved. She should have known what the American police would do to a Filipino man.
If she hadn’t called the police, he would be alive! My son would be alive if not for you!
