Up until recently I worked the night shift in a hotel, so I know how creepy it can feel at times, especially when you’re getting used to the place with all of the building’s odd little noises and quirks. That’s the position Gwen finds herself in.
Recently moved into the area and in need of money, she’s answered an ad for a temporary overnight position at the All Tucked Inn. The owner Teddy, who seems to be making his story up as he goes along, tells her the woman who regularly does the job has been sidelined with medical issues. He’d love to stay and help, but he has a date. But there’s nothing to worry about, this is a quiet, peaceful place where nothing ever happens.

It's been an emotional summer for Busy Philipps. The mom of two has been gearing up to send her oldest child, Birdie, to boarding school in Sweden.
"I'm a mess already. It started to hit me this past month," the actor told Popsugar in late July. She's been documenting the process on social media, a place where her fans have come to love how relatable, funny, and outspoken she is - from her sing-along Instagram Stories to her poetic musings about motherhood.
"I'm really feeling the pangs right now that I think are relatable whether or not your kid is going to boarding school - your kids growing up and on their way to being young adults and their own humans," she continued. "And I'm just hoping and praying I did the right things and instilled the right values and that they know they always have a safe place to land.

Movie soundtracks can elevate ordinary stories, adding depth and resonance to beloved films. The lasting impact of these soundtracks is evident in the instantly recognizable songs that continue to endure. Sometimes, the music becomes a movie’s highlight, compensating for weaker storylines or characters.
Classic movie musicals like West Side Story have stood the test of time, while films like The Bodyguard provided a platform for legendary artists to showcase their talents. The longevity of these soundtracks is often measured by their chart performance, reflecting their profound influence on generations.
The intertwining of music and cinema is a magical combination. The closing notes of The Breakfast Club, the era-defining mix of Dazed and Confused, and the genius of Prince in Purple Rain are just a few examples of the powerful synergy between sound and vision.

Netflix has officially confirmed the upcoming third season of Sweet Tooth will be the show’s final season. Season two launched on April 27, 2023 and season three could arrive as soon as 2024, given that it’s already finished filming and won’t be impacted by the writers’ strike.

David Hill Better be okay!
With The Company You Keep Season 1 winding down, you knew there would be crazy action and some gasp-worthy moments, but I did not see the end of The Company You Keep Season 1 Episode 9 coming.
I reiterate -- David Hill needs to be okay!
Oh, and Jennifer, too. Neither one deserved to get in the crosshairs of Emma's war with the Maguires, which reached all-new heights in the penultimate installment.
Emma's been singularly focused on the Maguires all season, and with Charlie as her asset on the inside, she's continued to build her case, though even with all the evidence she's gathered, it hasn't been enough to bring forth a formal case.
Side note, can I say I never understand that on a series like this, you will have someone undercover seeing death, drug deals, and all kinds of terrible things, yet there's never enough evidence.

While it is relatively easier to keep one’s moral compass rigid during uneventful times, it is the dire situations that test the character and can even break the most sensible among us. Dr. Aditya Khatri in Sweet Tooth represents such a hapless soul bound by circumstances, which later took their toll by robbing him of his sanity and any sort of human connection he had left. Although that’s not to say he was only a victim of circumstances, he willingly went down a darker path from which there was no return and considered that the end justifies the means.
Dr. Singh has been one of the most significant characters in the Sweet Tooth series, more so than his comic counterpart, as his story progresses in a parallel way with the main narrative of Gus from the very beginning and gradually merges at the end of the first season.

Will Gus ever be reunited with Birdie or Big Man? Those are the two biggest questions lingering as we head into Sweet Tooth‘s sophomore season.
The premiere (all eight episodes are now available to stream on Netflix) begins with Birdie as she hunts for something in a frozen tundra. She hikes through snow and freezing temps to find a crevasse near some mountains she has stenciled on a map. Using a rope, she spelunks down between glaciers to find a pirate ship filled with purple flowers. But she also finds something of extreme importance: the journal of one Dr.

Even before HBO’s “The Last of Us” popularized the narrative of a post-apocalyptic world essentially being a way of mother nature striking a balance by curbing human egocentrism, there was Netflix’s adaptation of the DC/Vertigo comic “Sweet Tooth.” In fact, readers who are well acquainted with the comics storyline will surely spot some instances of inspiration in “The Last of Us” as well, which goes beyond the similarity in the setting or character archetypes. However, coming back to the Netflix series, like multiple other media adaptations of comic-book-related properties, “Sweet Tooth” differs from its source material in some significant ways that range from minor details to the entire tone of the narrative styles. Now that the second season of the acclaimed series has been released, we would like to compare the first two seasons with the source material, i.e., comics, to help the viewers better appreciate both mediums.

More often than not, post-apocalyptic fiction tends to hold human egocentrism accountable for the abysmal conditions that create such situations (and rightly so), and Netflix’s adaptation of the DC/Vertigo series “Sweet Tooth,” created by Jeff Lemire, is no exception in that regard. Compared to the recently released HBO’s “The Last of Us,” which touches on the aspect of nature striking back at humankind’s arrogant aggression, “Sweet Tooth” doubles down on showing the horrors of humanity and nature’s solution for perfect harmony in a contrasting way. We are introduced to a world that has been ravaged by a pandemic, which coincides with the birth of naturally born animal-human hybrids. While the first season of the series tiptoed around the assumption that the origins of both the virus and the hybrids are interrelated, the second season established that fact by showcasing events of the past, which also revealed how Gus,...

Review: When the first season of Sweet Tooth premiered back in 2021, I called it the show of the summer. The epic adaptation of Jeff Lemire’s acclaimed comic book series managed to take a dark, violent, and mature comic and transform it into an all-ages adventure without sacrificing the quality of the source material. The second season of Sweet Tooth improves upon the first by expanding the characters we have met, allowing them to interact with new counterparts and locations and still keeping the adventure, intensity, and originality on display. Sweet Tooth‘s second season is a wonderful tale that grows as the child actors do and earns a spot...
