The BBC has defended itself against accusations that it used students from the London School of Economics (Lse) as a "human shield" when making a programme about North Korea.
The Lse complained Panorama's John Sweeney posed as a professor at the university on a trip with students for tonight's programme North Korea Undercover without students being fully aware of the plans for the show.
An email was sent by the Lse to staff and students taking issue with the programme.
"At no point prior to the trip was it made clear to the students that a BBC team of three had planned to use the trip as cover for a major documentary to be shown on Panorama," the email read.
"BBC staff have admitted that the group was deliberately misled as to the involvement of the BBC in the visit."
The university added: "It is Lse's view that the students...
