A Real Pain starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin has landed at Searchlight Pictures, with a theatrical release planned for this year. The deal is for worldwide.
The film stars Eisenberg and Culkin (fresh of his win at the Emmys for the final season of Succession) as cousins who travel to their grandmother’s native Poland to partake in a Holocaust tour. Jennifer Grey and Will Sharpe also star.
A Real Pain, which screened in the U.S. Dramatic Competition at the Sundance Film Festival, marked Eisenberg’s second time behind the camera on a feature and earned a standing ovation during its premiere screening. It has quickly become the go-to movie to see thus far.
“It requires emotional acuity and generosity of spirit for a filmmaker to mine painful history while providing subtle access pathways for audiences from entirely different backgrounds to find their way in. Acknowledging the universality of his underlying themes,...

Jesse Eisenberg’s “A Real Pain,” one of the buzziest movies to premiere so far at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, has sold to Searchlight in a huge $10 million deal.
Given the warm reception in Park City, the film sparked an all-night bidding war among several distributions to land global rights, with the deal closing early Sunday morning.
Eisenberg directed “A Real Pain” in addition to starring alongside Kieran Culkin. They play cousins whose tour through Poland in honor of their grandmother sparks some serious family rivalry. Their co-stars include Will Sharpe, Jennifer Grey, Kurt Egyiawan, Liza Sadovy and Daniel Oreskes.
“A Real Pain” is one of two movies that Eisenberg is headlining at this year’s festival — the other is Bleecker Street’s wacky comedy “Sasquatch Sunset.” The actor says “A Real Pain” is an acutely personal story. In the film, the cousins end up joining a Holocaust tour,...

Taylor Hale hopes that she will soon become the Big Brother 24 winner. Pic credit: CBS
Big Brother 24 spoilers from the live feeds have set up exactly what the final three will look like.
The producers had the final four members of the BB24 cast get through everything rather quickly this past week – possibly too quickly.
The rush to film the footage has left the last houseguests a bit bored, with just enough time for a former showmance to potentially rekindle a spark or two.

But since then, Monte and Taylor have spent another night together in the Hoh bed, suggesting they are either trying to rekindle things or just playing each other due to the final two agreement they made.

This summer, Alyssa finished in fifth place as a member of the BB24 cast, but we will all see her again on finale night.
Some of the answers that Alyssa has been giving to questions asked of her have been a bit suspect, including her claim that Joseph Abdin fed her a false narrative about Taylor Hale that led to Alyssa not liking Taylor.
Of course, Alyssa also addressed her Big Brother 24 showmance with Kyle Capener, as well as how she views Brittany Hoopes now that she has spent more time with her in the house.
One very noteworthy statement that Alyssa made is that she hopes it will be Brittany and Taylor who...

Sixth place is where Michael Bruner finished on Big Brother 24. Pic credit: CBS
Michael Bruner is doing his exit interviews now, following his eviction from the Big Brother house.
It was a dramatic ending to his run in the game, which began with him becoming the new Veto King of the reality competition show.
Michael seemed almost unstoppable, so when the other houseguests finally had a chance to take him out, that’s exactly what they did.
Now, Michael becomes a member of the BB24 jury, where he will vote for the winner of Big Brother 24 on finale night.
There should also be some interesting episode segments coming up soon where Big Brother fans get to see the reactions of the other jury members when Michael walks in the front door.
But first, he has a lot of thoughts to share about how he played the game and what went wrong this summer.

Kyle Capener finished in eighth place on Big Brother 24. Pic credit: CBS
Big Brother 24 evicted Kyle Capener on Thursday night, sending him to become the latest member of the jury.
It was by a 5-0 vote that Kyle got evicted, with even his former showmance partner, Alyssa Snider, voting against him.
A pretty chaotic and emotional episode for Kyle played out as he got backdoored by Hoh Matt Turner to wrap up the week.
We will get to see Kyle again on finale night when he places on a vote on who should win Big Brother 24. Ahead of that happening, the show released some BB24 jury photos and videos.
Now, Kyle has the time to do exit interviews about his time on the show, and Kyle has a lot of opinions about his experience.
For readers who want to jump ahead, here are the spoilers about who won the Hoh puzzle competition.

Terrance Higgins made it to the final eight of the Big Brother 24 cast. Pic credit: CBS
A new Big Brother 24 Head of Household has taken charge of the final eight houseguests.
Earlier in the night, Jasmine Davis and Joseph Abdin fell in the Double Eviction episode.
Michael Bruner and Terrance Higgins were the outgoing HOHs, and they had to watch Brittany Hoopes, Taylor Hale, Kyle Capener, Alyssa Snider, Matt Turner, and Monte Taylor play in the new Head of Household Competition.
Alyssa knew that she was on the outside of everything during the challenge. If she or Kyle didn’t win Hoh and gain some automatic safety, it meant that one or both of them could wind up on the block very soon.
The results of the Week 8 Hoh Competition could also dictate whether or not The Leftovers would survive as an alliance. Something different could very easily be on the horizon.
