Charming, good-looking, successful, and clever. Webster was accused of coercive control by an ex-girlfriend, and in court, Ingrid successfully defended him, winning the case.
Following the trial, Ingrid got close to Webster, too close, and when she tried to exit the relationship, he turned on her, and her world imploded. Now, just when she is rebuilding her life, he suddenly reappears and tells her that someone is out to kill her and only he can protect her.

Harrison Ford is returning to the “Indiana Jones” franchise in the upcoming “Dial of Destiny,” marking a return to the character he’s now played for 42 years. It’s been 44 years since Sigourney Weaver first played Ellen Ripley in Ridley Scott’s “Alien,” but don’t expect her to pull a Ford/”Dial of Destiny” and return to the role that made her an action movie icon. In a new interview with Total Film magazine, Weaver said her days as Ripley are over.
“There are all kinds of younger actors taking this kind of role,” Weaver said. “And there was an ‘Alien’ [film] that I really wanted to do with Neill Blomkamp and we didn’t get to do that, but, you know, that ship has sailed. I’m very happy doing what I’m doing. I put in my time in space!”

Fresh off of its debut at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Disney and 20th Century Studios have released the trailer for "A Haunting in Venice." This is the latest Hercule Poirot mystery directed by Kenneth Branagh, who also plays the famed detective. This time around, we're getting a straight-up supernatural thriller based on Agatha Christie's novel "Hallowe'en Party." While there were some creepy vibes in both "Murder on the Orient Express" and "Death on the Nile," this looks like a straight-up horror flick with a stellar cast.
Branagh has a stacked A-list cast to work with this time around, including recent Oscar-winner Michelle Yeoh ("Everything Everywhere All at Once"), as well as Oscar-winning "Joker" composer Hildur Guđnadóttir. This one feels like it has success written all over it. Not to show my hand here, but this trailer looks pretty damn great, as does the poster, and you can check out both below.

The Agatha Christie-inspired franchise that began with 2017’s Murder on the Orient Express and continued with 2022’s Death on the Nile is set to receive a new installment when A Haunting in Venice reaches theatres on September 19th – and today the first trailer for the film arrived online! You can check it out in the embed above.
Kenneth Branagh has been at the helm of all three of these films and reprises the role of famed detective Hercule Poirot in A Haunting in Venice, which is set in eerie, post-World War II Venice on All Hallows’ Eve and is a terrifying mystery featuring the return of the celebrated sleuth, Hercule Poirot. Now retired and living in self-imposed exile in the world’s most glamorous city, Poirot reluctantly attends a séance at a decaying, haunted palazzo. When one of the guests is murdered, the detective is thrust into a sinister world of shadows and secrets.

‘A Haunting in Venice’ trailer: Kenneth Branagh’s Hercule Poirot returns for creepy thriller [Watch]
Kenneth Branagh is back in the mustache. The actor and director once again plays Agatha Christie’s hero Hercule Poirot in the new thriller “A Haunting in Vence.” Disney and 20th Century Studios released the first trailer for the project at CinemaCon on Wednesday.
Based on the novel “Hallowe’en Party” by Christie, the new film is being called a supernatural thriller and the creepy trailer does nothing to disabuse that classification.

A supernatural-thriller inspired by Agatha Christie’s novel Hallowe’en Party, Oscar® winning filmmaker Kenneth Branagh (“Belfast”) directs A Haunting in Venice, which brings the iconic character Hercule Poirot out on the high seas for a terrifying horror adventure.
This is the first horror movie from Branagh since Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein back in 1994, grafting a spooky skin onto his critically acclaimed tales of Hercule Poirot. You know horror is hot when Oscar winning filmmakers are making horror movies, and it’s always exciting to see non-horror franchises dipping their toes into the genre. Watch the trailer below.
Featuring a screenplay by Oscar nominee Michael Green (“Logan”), A Haunting in Venice was filmed at Pinewood Studios outside London and on location in Venice.
A brilliant acting ensemble portraying a cast of unforgettable characters will be featured, including Kenneth Branagh, Kyle Allen (“Rosaline”), Camille Cottin (“Call My Agent”), Jamie Dornan (“Belfast...

Evil Dead and Don’t Breathe director Fede Alvarez will both write and direct a brand new Alien movie for Ridley Scott and 20th Century Studios, with Cailee Spaeny (The Craft: Legacy, Pacific Rim Uprising) set to lead the cast. Isabela Merced (Rosaline) has also joined the cast, we learned earlier this week, and The Hollywood Reporter brings us more casting news.
David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Spike Fearn and Aileen Wu have signed on, THR reports.
The project is described as “an original standalone feature,” and THR notes that Alvarez wrote the script with Rodo Sayagues (Evil Dead). Filming kicks off later this month.
THR adds, “Plot details are being kept in a cryochamber, but as opposed to the other movies which focused on adults in corporate, militaristic and scientific roles, this now-ninth installment of the franchise will focus on a group of young people.”

Back in November, we heard that Cailee Spaeny (The Craft: Legacy) had been cast in the new Alien movie that’s set to be directed by Fede Alvarez. A movie that may or may not end up being called Alien: Romulus. Details on the characters being played by Spaeny and Merced are being kept under wraps.

Exclusive: After playing Juliet in 20th Century’s Romeo & Juliet spin-off Rosaline, Isabela Merced and 20th Century are teaming up again on one of the studios iconic IPs. Sources tell Deadline, Merced is set to co-star opposite Cailee Spaeny in 20th Century’s new Alien movie.
Fede Alvarez is directing with Scott Free producing.
20th Century had no comment.
Not much is known about the pic other than the iconic ferocious race of alien beings called Xenomorphs will be front and center, again reigning terror against the humans that cross their paths.
Merced recently starred as Juliet in the feature film Rosaline, 20th Century’s revisionist Romeo & Juliet tale opposite Kaitlyn Dever, streaming now on Hulu. She can be seen next as the lead in New Line’s Turtles All the Way Down, the upcoming film adaptation of John Green’s New York Times best-selling novel for HBOMax.

2022 marked a very complex year for the ever-raging streaming wars. While consumers pondered which of their many subscriptions to finally cancel, HBO Max got busy purging its library, Netflix made preparations to crack down on password sharing, and Peacock tried bulking up to finally spark some interest. Meanwhile, the House of Mouse is still experimenting with the best of both worlds, uniting sister services Disney+ and Hulu with shared titles and bundle deals. Which of the streaming services is triumphing above the others remains up for debate, but for better or worse, they'll certainly continue to evolve until they successfully trample the competition.
One of the most exciting signs of change came from Hulu, which sought to bolster its library with more original titles, exclusive to the service. That mission was certainly accomplished, in large part thanks to a partnership with 20th Century Studios, the Disney subsidiary that announced a...

There’s no denying it: the star-packed, film-crammed, totally wild fall movie-going season is back. While the previous two pandemic years have provided plenty of new films across all seasons and tastes, 2022 marks the first time in a long time that our most-anticipated list of films coming out this fall season pushed up to 60 titles.
Even more edifying: the range of films on offer. Of course, this preview includes a number of fall festival premieres and “awards” titles, but we’ve got a range of smaller picks, genuine curiosities, and even the odd remake to get excited about. We’ve got Sundance favorites and Cannes debuts, a donkey with a heart of gold, a pair of highly anticipated superhero movies, and Steven Spielberg revisiting his childhood (again! and we’re all better for it!).
