I have been a fan of Charles Band’s company Full Moon since I was a kid, and I have also been a fan of drive-in critic and movie host Joe Bob Briggs since I was a kid. So it’s fun to see those worlds colliding in the trailer for an upcoming Full Moon release, the goofball comedy Barbie & Kendra Crash Joe Bob’s Drive-In Jamboree! You can check it out in the embed above. The movie will be receiving a streaming release on Full Moon Features, Amazon Prime Video, and Tubi sometime this summer.
Barbie & Kendra Crash Joe Bob’s Drive-In Jamboree is the fourth chapter in the franchise that began with Corona Zombies back at the height of the pandemic and has continued through Barbie & Kendra Save the Tiger King and Barbie & Kendra Storm Area 51. Full Moon Features is gearing up to go into production on their “crazy, candy-colored” comedy Barbenheimer, which was inspired by the portmanteau we all saw a thousand times last summer, as movie-goers headed out for double features of Barbie and Oppenheimer. Full Moon founder Charles Band took to social media to let us know that Barbenheimer will begin filming on April 8th, aiming for a summer 2024 release.
In this post, Band tagged his wife, actress Robin Sydney, genre icon Barbara Crampton, legendary drive-in movie critic and TV host Joe Bob Briggs, and Joe Bob’s “mail girl” Darcy, a.k.a. Diana Prince. We’ll have to wait and see if that means Sydney, Crampton, Joe Bob, and Prince are all going to appear in the movie.

Full Moon founder Charles Band is one of my heroes, and another one of my heroes is drive-in critic and movie host Joe Bob Briggs. Those two legends collided last weekend, as Band’s marriage to actress Robin Sydney was officiated by Joe Bob!
The wedding took place at the historic Casa Del Mar Hotel in Santa Monica, California, on December 9th and was planned by Krystal Moreno from Krystal Klear Special Events & Hospitality Consulting. According to an article on People, the idea was to blend together some of the things Band and Sydney love the most, resulting in “a Magic Castle, old Hollywood concert feel with a touch of a circus.” Two Cirque du Soleil artists, a contortionist and a belly dancer, performed at the venue, as did magicians from the Magic Castle, a private club in Los Angeles owned by the Academy of Magical Arts. "Remind me to annihilate planet Earth." Full Moon Features has unveiled a trailer for a ridiculous, wacky new sci-fi comedy B-movie called Barbie & Kendra Storm Area 51 - a kind of wacky MST3K homage. Full Moon's notorious "coronaverse" expands anew in Barbie & Kendra Storm Area 51, the third (but not final!) movie in the world's only quarantine set and shot franchise. Get ready for a heady dose of pandemic panic as the dynamic duo turn on their TV and get tuned into a viral saga that takes them deep into the forbidden fortress of Area 51 and beyond! Combining insanely funny new footage with hilariously re-dubbed retro sci-fi cinema awesomeness, Barbie & Kendra Storm Area 51 is the wackiest "coronasploitation" yet! Featuring Cody Renee Cameron as Barbie + Robin Sydney as Kendra. This is as absurd as they come, with a lot of dumb jokes. But I guess that's the point? An even dumber...

Well Go USA has acquired all North American rights to Snowfort Pictures and Automatic Entertainment’s American Muscle.
Commercial and music video director Ravi Dhar’s arthouse action-thriller stars Nick Principe, Robin Sydney, Todd Farmer, John Fallon, Trent Haaga and Malice McMunn.
The story takes place in California’s Yucca Valley as an ex-con embarks on a mission of revenge against his brother.
John Fallon wrote the screenplay and Travis Stevens produced alongside Jeffrey Giles and Michael Lurie.
“We set out to make a different kind of action film; something beautiful and exciting,” said Snowfort’s Stevens. “We can’t think of a company better suited to bring Ravi Dhar’s unique vision to audiences than Well Go USA.”
Stevens brokered the deal with Well Go USA president and head of acquisitions Doris Pfardrescher.

It was bound to happen sooner or later, folks. Although I don’t spend as much time watching Full Moon flicks as I did during the days of “Trancers” and “Puppet Master” — “Killjoy” is an exception — I can’t say that I’m not interested in “Gingerdead Man vs. Evil Bong.” Never mind that I couldn’t finish “Evil Bong.” Never mind that I didn’t watch the other films in the “Gingerdead Man” franchise. There’s a part of my soul that needs to see “Gingerdead Man vs. Evil Bong” despite my natural inclination to avoid it altogether. Here’s how Full Moon describes the endeavor: It’s a War of the Colossal Freaks when serial killing cookie, Gingerdead Man, tracks down the lone survivor of his murderous rampage, Sarah Leigh (Robin Sydney), to take care of unfinished business. But his devious plans go up in smoke when Sarah...

Night Of The Living Dead 3D: Re-animation
Stars: Andrew Divoff, Jeffrey Combs, Sarah Lieving, Robin Sydney, Adam Chambers, Melissa Jo Bailey | Written and Directed by Jeff Broadstreet
A prequel to director Jeff Broadstreet’s 2006 3D “remake” of Night of the Living Dead, Night of the Living Dead 3D: Re-Animation (that’s one hell of a long title) follows mortician Gerald Tovar, Jr. (Divoff) who inherits the family mortuary and exposes hundreds of uncremated bodies to toxic medical waste – at first accidentally and then later on purpose. As the corpses re-animate, Gerald’s inheritance-seeking younger brother, Harold (Jeffrey Combs), unexpectedly shows up and stumbles upon Gerald trying to keep the zombie outbreak under control. Sibling rivalry gives way to madness as Harold discovers Gerald’s dark secret – the freshly exhumed and zombified corpse of their father.

A new Facebook page has launched for Jeff Broadstreet's Night of the Living Dead 3D: Re-Animation that's home to lots of eye candy both from the flick and behind-the-scenes. Some are even in 3D if you have some glasses handy! Dig it!
Night of the Living Dead 3D: Re-Animation stars Andrew Divoff and Jeffrey Combs. A prequel, the story begins one full day before the zombie outbreak occurs in the 2006 film. Also starring are Sarah Lieving (The Dunwich Horror), Robin Sydney (The Lost) and Denice Duff (Subspecies) as “Sister Sara”, a Sarah Palin-esque figure who unwittingly walks into the zombie outbreak and meets a fitting end. If only this were the real world! We don't think Palin could ever handle herself in a "squirmish" with the dead.

Disco. Rollerskates. A roller rank. Some roller booging. Trendy 70's clothing. And of course a "Gingerdead Man"! What more could you want? Full Moon Entertainment has just released the trailer (seen below) for their latest full length future of Gingerdead Man 3-D: Saturday Night Cleaver.

Campy low budget horror film production company and distributor Full Moon Pictures just recently announced the completion of Gingerdead Man 3-D: Saturday Night Cleaver. In between filming and post production the film's status was updated to include the fact that it will be shown in 3-D.
The film starring Jacqui Holland, Caley Chase, Peter Stickles, Robin Sydney, Kimberly Pfeffer, Laura Kachergus and Kent Fuher is aiming for a March release according to Full Moon Entertainment. Looking over the credits of the film, various characters such as roller girl keep popping up. So does that mean we are in store for campy horror film that crosses elements of Saturday Night Fever with Roller Boogie starring Linda Blair and Skatetown, U.S.A. with Scott Baio?

Zach Passero, director of the 2008 Fever Dreams/Media Blasters feature Wicked Lake, has given Dread Central the skinny on the release plans for his director's cut of that feature. Hitting Blu-Ray on June 29, 2010, the disc will contain the original cut with the director's cut (titled Wicked, Wicked Lake) as a bonus that will feature an introduction by the filmmaker.

Charles Band is one of those guys who has been around forever, writing, directing, and producing movies since the pre-disco era of the 1970’s. He has been involved with some great films and many of his titles were part of the first wave of video releases that built the entire home entertainment industry. I still have a poster of Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-o-Rama hanging up in my basement and my Puppet Master collection is safely tucked away so that visiting children won’t mess them up by actually playing with them.
Band has one of those iconic names within the industry and I was thrilled to be chosen to review one of his latest works, Skull Heads. That delight was short lived however as the film unfolded to reveal that it was long on atmosphere and short on actual frights.

Giove is a small village sited on the peak of a hill not far from Rome. It’s a cloudy and dark day when Fango arrives, and after a U-turn off the long, winding road leading there, the 900-year-old castle comes into view where the shooting of Skull Heads (out on DVD October 6) and Demonic Toys 2: Personal Demons (being helmed by Gingerdead Man 2’s William Butler; coming in December), two new horror movies from Charles Band’s Full Moon company, is taking place.
As soon as Fango enters the huge structure, a production assistant leads the way to the dungeon: the court of Band himself, owner of the castle, which he hasn’t filmed in since Meridian and Stuart Gordon’s The Pit And The Pendulum in the early ’90s. “It has been more than 15 years since we last shot a movie here,” he says. “You know, I have...

We're pretty excited for the indie horror flick, Wicked Lake, especially because The Lost director Chris Sivertson produced it. Today we caught word that the official website has launched for the film, which stars Marc Senter, Robin Sydney, Tim Thomerson, Will Kennan, Angela Bettis, Michael Esparza. At the site you can not only check out a dozen stills, but you can watch the first trailer! Go check it out! Wicked Lake tells of four co-ed girls who head out to a lakeside mountain cabin for a relaxing weekend. Unbeknownst to them, there are two groups of predatory monstrosities who have their eyes on them ... that is until the stroke of midnight when all hell literally breaks loose.
