Pittsburgh is the place to be for Batman fans. The third chapter in Chris Nolan’s Caped Crusading saga will film in the Steel City, making Pittsburgh the new Gotham. The Dark Knight Rises already has a pretty dramatic teaser trailer, which you can glimpse here on BoomTron. Recently some scenes were shot using Carnegie Mellon University, located in Pittsburgh, but some other locals are really showing the project some love.
As you can see in the image above, local tech companies in that city, Idea Foundry and Lightwave International, decked the Highmark building with Nolan’s bat signal to “commemorate” the filming of Batman 3.
Mike Matesic, CEO of Idea Foundry, said his company “is delighted only only to see major motion pictures like ‘Batman’ choose to film in Pittsburgh, but also to help them take advantage of all the other benefits our region’s technology companies have to offer.
