Warning: The following contains spoilers from Thursday’s Orphan Black
Orphan Black didn’t just channel its pilot during Thursday’s Season 4 premiere. It turned the clocks way back to tell the tale of how Beth spiraled so badly that she would eventually take her own life.
RelatedOrphan Black Adds Talking Dead-Style Season 4 After-Show
In an unexpected move that had me scratching my head and then squealing in delight, the episode kicked off with a phone call not to Sarah, but Beth, as she slept in bed with Paul (former cast member Dylan Bruce). And those two weren...

As unusual as it may seem, filmmaker Guy Maddin made a documentary about the making of a mid-budget Canadian war film called Hyena Road with his creative partners Evan and Galen Johnson. Titled Bring Me The Head of Tim Horton, Maddin and company take a tongue-in-cheek look behind the scenes, offering some truly twisted and intentionally warped imagery in the style of their recent gem, The Forbidden Room. It’s a hilariously strange short film, and a perfect Hyena Road companion piece, one which Maddin playfully compared to Hearts of Darkness, the essential documentary about the making of Apocalypse Now. Tim Horton‘s parent film, Hyena Road, is less essential, but nonetheless a well-crafted piece of technical filmmaking.
Set in and around Kandahar, Afghanistan, the film follows ground-level soldiers overseeing the construction of a road built for military use — one called (you guessed it!) Hyena Road. Unlike Michael Bay’s...

Death is a scary enough thing but for many, the unknown that comes after death is even scarier. Do we simply stop being or is there something for our subconsciousness after our physical body stops breathing? Writer/director Merlin Dervisevic has an idea of what may come next and it's not pleasant.
Cruel & Unusual stars David Richmond-Peck as Edgar, a mousy looking man who wakes up one day in a strange institution. He shares the mysterious place with a number of other individuals and they're all there for the same reason: they killed someone and are now forced to re-live the murder, from the moments leading up to it, the act itself and the aftermath, for all eternity. One question dominates BBC Three's Orphan Black - who can be trusted? Each of the show's characters - from Sarah (Tatiana Maslany) to Paul (Dylan Bruce) to Olivier (David Richmond-Peck) - is telling lies or only sharing half-truths - and this week, in a double-bill, events grow ever more mind-frazzingly complex…
Paul, at least, is apparently on the side of the angels - or as close as this show gets. When he warns Sarah - over the phone - that Olivier knows the truth about her identity swap with Beth, he ends up captive, drugged and beaten.
To save Paul, Sarah forms an uneasy alliance with Helena - promising her information in exchange for rescuing her hunky beau - and the tail-sporting Olivier soon finds himself mutilated and confined to a hospital, where he's finished off by an agent of Aldous Leekie (Matt Frewer).
Leekie's end-game is still a mystery...

See, Allison filmed her night's sleep with husband Donnie (Kristian Bruun) - Paranormal Activity-style - and grabs footage of him leaving their bed for several hours. Their subsequent confrontation escalates quickly and turns violent - in short, don't mess with a soccer mum wielding a golf club.

Credit to Orphan Black - just when I thought I had a handle on where things were heading, episode five 'Conditions of Existence' manages to utterly baffle me again in its opening five minutes.
Sarah (Tatiana Maslany) is haunted by dreams of being poked and prodded in a lab, but what is being done to her? Is this a dream or a flashback to real events? And if they are memories, are they her own - suppressed for years - or does she share a telepathic link of sorts with her 'sisters'?
The answer arrives in a most unexpected form, as Sarah coughs up something small and metallic - identified by clever-clogs Cosima as an electrode from an Eeg machine. As Sarah so aptly puts it, "It wasn't a bleddy dream then, woz it?"
We knew Paul (Dylan Bruce) couldn't really be that much of a big dull dud, and sure enough,...

In last week’s episode “Entangled Bank” we saw Sarah, Cosima and Allison (all played by Tatiana Maslany) spiraling out in their lives. Cosima took a giant leap and seduced her monitor Delphine (Evelyne Brouchu), which only gave Delphine the perfect opportunity to snoop around and get a good look at Cosima’s notes on all the clones. Then Allison revealed that her and her husband Donnie (Kristian Bruun) were getting a divorce, which led to drunken binging and sleeping with her suspected monitor’s husband. And Sarah, trying to hold the clone club together, decided to enlist Mrs. S (Maria Doyle Kennedy) into the club and see what information she could provide. Unfortunately, little Kira (Skyler Wexler) bore the brunt of all the clones’ secrets when she happily took Helena’s hand for a walk, which ended tragically.
With the noose tightening around them, Sarah, Allison and Cosima were not exactly playing it safe.

IGN movies has a fresh clip from Joe Carnahan’s upcoming “The A-Team” big-screen movie. More spanking new images from Joe Carnahan’s “The A-Team”, now with more gun-wielding Jessica Biel. Impawards has four new International character posters for Joe Carnahan’s “The A-Team”. First of all, I'd like to apologize for my lack of a review for "Pound of Flesh." I was unable to watch that episode until several days later, and by then it was too late for me to post a review. I must say, though, that it was a huge step up from "Welcome to the War," (which I gave a C) and was probably my favorite episode of the season so far. But now, on with "John May."
"John May" was the episode that fixed all my complaints about "Welcome to the War." I found myself actually caring about the characters and their struggles. First, though, I would like to take a moment to remember Georgie, who died a valiant death that was one of the saddest I've seen on television in a long time. Perhaps the person who was most dedicated to taking down the Vs, I had...

Apple has debuted the second, and dare I say, immeasurably cooler trailer for Joe Carnahan’s “The A-Team”. Not only do you get more of Hannibal doing his Hannibal thing (getting Liam Neeson for the role? Pure genius) but you also get more of everything else. I also love the line, “These guys specialize in the ridiculous.” That’s just ridiculously cool. The A—Team follows the exciting and daring exploits of a colorful team of former Special Forces soldiers who were set up for a crime they did not commit. Going “rogue,” they utilize their unique talents to try and clear their names and find the true culprit. Liam Neeson (“Taken”), Bradley Cooper (“The Hangover”), mixed martial arts champ Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, and “District 9” sensation Sharlto Copley, are “The A—Team.” Starring Bradley Cooper, Liam Neeson, Jessica Biel, Sharlto Copley, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson, Omari Hardwick, David Richmond-Peck, Maury Sterling,...

It’s a brave new world in America, as Anna and the Visitors prepare to establish official diplomatic ties with the Government, thanks in part to a willing media led by the very bias reporting of Chad Decker (Scott Wolf). Meanwhile, the Resistance of Two – aka FBI Agent Erica Evans (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Father Jack (Joel Gretsch) — continue their quest to find strength in numbers. Step one: find everyone who was at the warehouse that fateful night, including the Awol Georgie (David Richmond-Peck). For his part, former V sleeper soldier turned human sympathizer Ryan (Morris Chestnut) goes in search of the remaining members of the V Fifth Column, a group of V rebels now scattered to the wind. As we learn toward the end of tonight’s episode, “A Bright New Day”, you just never know when those spunky Fifth Columns will show up next. While last week’s episode was a paranoid,...

Closing in its principal photography date, "The A-Team" is hit with another casting report. Moviehole broke the news that David Richmond-Peck, who has worked with director Joe Carnahan for direct-to-dvd sequel of "Smokin' Aces", has been offered the role of Gammons.
Richmond-Peck reportedly was on top of Carnahan's list for the movie's baddie because Carnahan was reportedly "so impressed" by his multi-faceted performance in "Smokin' Aces : Blowback". Before being offered Gammons role, the actor who plays Georgie in ABC's "V" had earlier tested for the role of the lead villain, Lynch.
Moviehole has also confirmed the involvement of Quinton Jackson, aka Rampage Jackson, in the project. The former Ufc world lightweight champion will indeed take on the role once made famous by Mr. T, B.A. Baracus. He is joining Liam Neeson who will play Colonel John "Hannibal" Smith, and Bradley Cooper who is set for Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck.

The cast for the Smokin' Aces prequel, currently being called Smokin' Aces 2, continues to grow with the addition of both Vinnie Jones and Martha Higareda. A perfect mix really: Some testosterone-fueled toughness with a splash of estrogen hotness.

The good people at Moviehole have learned that Vinnie Jones and Martha Higareda will join Tom Berenger, David Richmond-Peck, Sofia Vergara, Michael Parks, Merwin Mondesir and Tommy Flanagan in the Smokin' Aces prequel. Moviehole reports that Vinnie Jones has joined the cast of Smokin' Aces 2. What's sort of hard to believe is that he wasn't in the first movie. I thought Hollywood was contractually required to cast Vinnie Jones's buzz cut in every vaguely gritty, shoot-em-up movie? In addition to a career of mediocre shoot-em-ups, Jones was also in X-Men 3. That's the place most of the movie going masses are likely to know him from. In Smokin' Aces 2, a prequel to the original Joe Carnahan helmed movie, he'll play an assassin named McTeague, on the trail of a witness under guard. Hey, that sounds a lot like the plot of the first movie. Also in the film according to Mh is newcomer Martha Higareda, as well as previous Smokin' actors Maury Sterling (who played Lester Tremor) and Christopher Holley (Beanie in the first movie). They join Tom Berenger, David Richmond-Peck, Sofia Vergara,...
