- Ben's heritage is primarily American Indian and western European. His mother's background is Blackfoot Indian and his father's Comanche.
- A natural desire for art was temporarily interrupted after working at a vet clinic during the summer. He promptly switched to a high school that prepared students for health professions.
- Ben was born and raised in Houston, Texas.
- Benjamin has won numerous awards for his design work and illustration skills - including McSam Award, Addy Awards, Signs of the Times Design Award and Pillars of the Industry Awards.

- Learned to be a Phlebotomist (lab blood collector) during his senior year in high school and used the skill to supplement his college education.
- Was asked to produce his first film after landing the lead in the independent film, "Holding On." He also was credited as Art Director.
- He attended two high schools (The High School for Performing and Visual Arts and The High School for Health Professions) and did not attend his zoned high school, Madison.
