Apple TV’s newest thriller series that borrows inspiration from Akiva Goldsman’s The Minds of Billy Milligan, titled The Crowded Room, dropped three initial episodes today. In the first episode, Danny Sullivan (Tom Holland) is arrested after he pulls a revolver on a man at the packed Rockefeller Center. Now, Rya Goodwin is trying to get to the bottom of the case and find out where Danny’s accomplice Ariana (Sasha Lane) is. In this episode, Danny explains how he and Ariana became friends or something similar to that, but by the end, Ariana’s mental issues become quite apparent.
Spoilers Ahead
What Does Danny Say About Ariana?
With Danny Sullivan in police custody, Investigator Rya Goodwin walks into the “ghost house” after finding it unlocked. She hears some scrapings and crashes upstairs, and there are shattered glasses from a window. Last but not least, there’s blood on the walls as well,...

Exclusive: More production shutdown as Artists Equity’s feature Unstoppable has been halted against the backdrop of the writers strike, we hear.
Logically, these stopped productions will return when the strike ends, at the latest. The news comes in the wake of picketers forcing Unstoppable to shut down on Wednesday, which was lensing at USC in Los Angeles.
Filming on the Jennifer Lopez-Jharrel Jerome wrestling drama had been going on for the past two weeks. The project is in talks to be sold to Amazon. Two weeks ago, the Aziz Ansari-directed Keanu Reeves-Seth Rogen Lionsgate feature, Good Fortune, was coerced to suspend production amid the writers strike as picketing heated up at its LA Koreatown location.
Unstoppable is based on the story of Anthony Robles (Jerome), a 3x All-American wrestler born with one leg who prevailed in a national championship at Arizona State. Oscar-winning Argo editor...

Another major feature film has seen its production brought to a halt, at least temporarily, amid picketing related to the ongoing WGA strike. TheWrap has confirmed that “Unstoppable,” starring Jennifer Lopez and Jharrel Jerome, paused early Wednesday amid picketing at their location near University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
It is not known whether the Artists Equity production will resume shooting Thursday. This is just the latest mid-production feature to have its schedule halted due to picketers, as Aziz Ansari’s “Good Fortune” was one of the first such films to be brought to a standstill two weeks ago.

Exclusive: Unstoppable has, in fact, been stopped — at least for now. Production on the wrestling drama, starring Jennifer Lopez and Jharrel Jerome, paused for the day earlier this morning following picketing at their shooting location near USC.
Artists Equity, the new production company that Ben Affleck and Matt Damon co-founded with RedBird Capital, declined to comment. Whether shooting will resume tomorrow is not yet clear.
Somewhere between 15 and 25 picketers arrived at Unstoppable‘s base camp for the day around 4:30 a.m., with strikers working to maintain a lockdown on a site with numerous entrances. Sources tell Deadline that momentum on the picket line really picked up around 6 a.m. Another close to the situation noted that this is the first time the production has been picketed, though shooting has been taking place for at least two weeks.

It's been five years since Boots Riley made a tremendous first impression on the filmmaking scene with "Sorry To Bother You," but the writer, director, producer, musician, and activist is finally back with "I'm A Virgo." A trailer for the new Prime Video series just dropped, and as expected, it looks both wild as hell and like an absurdly good time.
Press materials for the highly-anticipated series call it a "mythical coming-of-age comedy," while the trailer tagline claims it's the "biggest coming-of-age story of all time." The latter is definitely true on one level, as the story revolves around a 13-foot-tall young Black man who discovers the world after hiding away throughout his formative years. In the trailer, we see Jerome's character, Cootie, encounter some typical adolescent problems -- like figuring out how to flirt with a girl -- and some not-so-typical ones, like being observed by a cult-y...

Emmy winner Jharrel Jerome looms big as a 13-foot-tall black man in Oakland, California in the official trailer for Amazon Prime Video’s coming-of-age dark comedy I’m A Virgo, which was released on Tuesday.
The absurdist series created, written and executive produced by Boots Riley has Jerome’s character, Cootie, having to navigate life as a giant after growing up hidden away, passing time on a diet of comic books and TV shows.
“You are a 13-foot tall Black man — they fear you,” Cootie is told at one point in the trailer as he nervously tries to court a young woman taking his order in a burger joint and even meets his real-life superhero from comic books, played by Walton Goggins.
The series, a follow-up of sorts to Riley’s 2018 Sundance hit Sorry to Bother You, has the filmmaker directing all seven episodes set to bow exclusively on Prime Video...

‘I’m A Virgo’ Trailer: Boots Riley’s Coming-of-Age Comedy Shows Off a 13-Foot Jharrel Jerome (Video)
Amazon Prime Video released its first full trailer for its upcoming Boots Riley comedy series, “I’m a Virgo,” on Tuesday. The project stars Emmy winner Jharrell Jerome as a 13-foot-tall Black man living in Oakland, California. Set to be released in full on June 23, the series was written and directed entirely by Riley (“Sorry to Bother You”).
The trailer showcases a supersized Jerome as he leaves his childhood home and takes on the world, no matter how ill-fitted he is. And there’s more than just tiny living spaces antagonizing his day to day: Walton Goggins in full superhero getup appears to take issue with the young giant’s rising fame. Amazon describes the series as “a darkly comedic fantastical coming-of-age joyride” and a “mythical odyssey that questions the purpose of the mythical odyssey.” Check out the full trailer in the video above.

This article contains spoilers for “Snowfall” Season 6.
Despite the death of his character in this season of “Snowfall,” Amin Joseph’s job on the series wasn’t quite finished with that. The actor, who starred as uncle Jerome Saint, returned to the FX series to direct this week’s episode, “Ballad of the Bear.”
As “Snowfall” inches closer to the series finale, Gustavo ‘El Oso’ Zapata’s (Sergio Peris-Mencheta) important decision to choose a side takes center stage in this week’s episode. After being approached by the CIA, the DEA and the Kgb to turn on his associates, Oso must figure out whose side he’ll stand on — will he continue to stay loyal to Franklin Saint (Damson Idris) or former agent Teddy McDonald (Carter Hudson)? Or will he choose to put his faith behind a third party player, Ruben, the former Cuban national with Russian heritage, working for...

You and I, we go back a ways with The Voice, right? So we know: The show is often as much about the coaches’ confounding decisions as it is about the contestants’ efforts. And Tuesday’s conclusion of Season 23’s Battles served up a doozy of a head-scratcher. As you’ll read when you get to the last Battle in this recap, Chance the Rapper went so far as to suggest that one of his team members could win… then kept the other guy, thereby allowing the standout to be stolen by Blake Shelton. Wth? A lovely parting gift for...

Why couldn't Shaun be wrong this one time?
He spent most of The Good Doctor Season 6 Episode 18 insisting that Glassman's recent surgical performance proved that Glassman's brain cancer had returned. Most of his evidence seemed nonsensical, and Glassman didn't think there was any cause for concern.
But when Glassman agreed to do the scan, I knew there was more to the story than that. Ugh.
Any story involving Glassman's brain cancer will be emotional, but it's not something we need to revisit.
Shaun's determination to find a cure the first time is burned into my memory forever. It was a traumatic, emotional storyline -- and one I don't want to relive. Glassman's first battle with brain cancer was depressing enough!

It's realistic; cancer does come back sometimes, and survivors must get regular scans to maximize their ability to stay alive and healthy.

It's the end of an era for "Snowfall" fans and, unfortunately, of the overall journeys of some of the series's pivotal characters.
For the past six seasons, the 1980s-set crime drama has followed the dramatic tale of ambitious drug dealer Franklin (Damson Idris) and the epic rise and fall of his drug organization during the crack epidemic in South Central Los Angeles. While we've witnessed Franklin's transformation from college-bound teenager to a ruthless kingpin, one of the biggest shocks in the gritty FX series thus far has been watching his family slowly fall apart - which, in part, has led to another heartbreaking death.
The latest major "Snowfall" character to die - following major losses like Franklin's father Alton and, most recently, his crew member Black Diamond - in the show's sixth and final season is none other than Amin Joseph's beloved Jammin' Jerome Saint, aka Uncle Jerome. In "Snowfall"'s sixth episode,...

[The following story contains spoilers from the seventh episode (“Charnel House”) in the sixth and final season of FX’s Snowfall.]
FX’s Snowfall formally said goodbye to Amin Joseph’s Jerome Saint on Wednesday night, after the beloved uncle was shockingly killed in the closing minutes of last week’s episode.
After Jerome died during a gunfight with Kane (DeVaughn Nixon) in an effort to rescue his wife Louie (Angela Lewis), who had been kidnapped and was being tortured, this week’s episode saw Louie and Franklin (Damson Idris) dealing with the fallout of losing their loved one amid a civil war within the family.
The episode ends with Jerome’s funeral, where a speaker voices some of the significance of the character’s demise, which comes as the FX drama about the origins of the crack cocaine epidemic continues to explore how the drug contributed to the destruction of a community in South Central Los Angeles.
“Too often, I have blamed these deaths on young men with guns,...

Warning: This story contains major spoilers for Season 6, Episode 7 of “Snowfall.”
Angela Lewis opens the latest episode of FX’s “Snowfall” as a grieving widow. Her character, Louie, has lost her husband Jerome Saint (Amin Joseph). Now, the actor says that all bets are off as the series enters its final episodes.
In its final season, Louie seemingly has jumped out of fans’ favor, as her war with her nephew, Franklin Saint (Damson Idris), comes to a boil. The family feud first started in house. With Franklin’s $73 million stolen by former CIA Agent Teddy McDonald (Carter Hudson), he’s started to take drastic lengths — like stealing all of his aunt and uncle’s illegal inventory — to keep himself and his growing family afloat.
Because of their back-and-forth fire, Louie found herself kidnapped by Kane (DeVaughn Nixon), branded, tortured and almost at the point of being brutalized, when Jerome saved...
