Actor and musician John Stamos is known for lending his talents to bands like The Beach Boys, but now he’s going in a very different direction. Stamos has recorded a song for Willy’s Candy Spectacular, an upcoming live musical that takes inspiration from a disastrous Willy Wonka-inspired event in Scotland earlier this year. He sings on a new track the production released Monday.
The event that inspired the musical made headlines after it used lush, artificial intelligence-generated photos to attract customers to what it billed as an “immersive experience” that would transport Willy Wonka fans to a “magical realm.” In reality, this “immersive experience” was held at a shabby warehouse in Glasgow, Scotland, that was so depressing attendees compared it to a meth lab.
This viral news story inspired The Little Mermaid Live producer Richard Kraft, and his Kraft-Engel Productions, to turn that event into a musical parody.

Exclusive: When John Stamos warns of a chocolaty apocalypse, pay attention.
He does just than in a sneak listen of what could be a pretty delicious musical parody inspired by that hilariously misguided (and unlicensed) Willy Wonka experience event in Glasgow a few months back.
The Stamos track is one of three demos released to Deadline today by the producers of Willy’s Candy Spectacular: A Musical Parody. With a line-up of songwriters including Riki Lindhome, Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner, Tova Litvin and Doug Rockwell, and Daniel Mertzlufft, and performances by TikTok’s The Sharpe Family Singers and the real fest’s actual sad, gone-viral Oompa Loompa actress Kirsty Paterson, the demos will debut today on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and at willyscandyspectacular.com.
Sample lyric, as delivered by Stamos with classic rock god moves: “It was the start of the end of the world/It’s significance was easy...

“Saturday Night Live” host Sydney Sweeney and cast member Chloe Troast were the nation’s No. 1 interior designers for Airbnbs in one of the final skits on Saturday. The pair rolled out all the clichés that Airbnb guests have experienced, from hard-to-operate locks to bland words used as artwork on walls.
“Bland. Generic. Downright uninviting. If these are the vibes you’re going for, then we’re your girls [Chanel and Channel],” they announced. “Together, we can make your rentals pop with plain furniture and art for nobody.”
“Why stay in a hotel when for basically the same amount of money you can stay in a place with worse sheets and a camera in the toilet?” Troast asked.
“Just listen to one of our satisfied customers,” Sweeney said after the two decorators showed some sample lodgings.
“You may know our work from cozy casita steps from Lax,” they said with...

Willy Wonka fans who paid $45 to relive the magical world of Roald Dahl were left in complete disappointment and their faces looked just like the viral Oompa Loompa actress from the event. ‘Willy’s Chocolate Experience’ held in Glasgow, Scotland, was a complete disaster and the organizers, the House of Illuminati, are currently busy making apologies and refunds. Meanwhile, the Oompa Loompa actress who went viral opens up about why she chose the gig in the first place.
Photos taken by frustrated attendees at Willy’s Chocolate Experience held in Glasgow, Scotland
Actress Kirsty Paterson revealed that it was the first time in her acting career that she had applied to a gig via Indeed and landed the role. From one of her photos during the event, fans were almost convinced that she was in a meth lab setting rather than that of a chocolate factory.
