Bobby Scott(1926-2006)

From an early age, Bob began working in movies and was best known as the actor in "It's A Wonderful Life" that said, "And I've got the key" which opened the dance gym floor to a swimming pool. Bob joined the Army Air Corps in 1943 (WWII). Later, he went to USC where he received a BS degree in Geology, which led him to prospecting and discovering uranium in Nevada. He married Alice Pearl Brimacombe with whom they had a son, Robert N. Scott, Jr. They moved to Bakersfield where Bob worked for Getty Oil until he opened a consulting business for himself and later with his brother, Richard. He drilled and found gas in Northern California and later found oil wells that were suitable for renovation, so formed an oil company.
Robert N. Scott passed away October 24, 2006, at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer, complicated by pneumonia. Bob was born February 9, 1926, in Oakland, CA to Inez and Ernest Scott. At an early age his family moved to Hollywood, CA where Bob began his preparation for acting with lessons in drums, drama, horseback riding, dancing, and swimming.
Bob is survived by his son, Robert Jr.; brother, Richard and his wife, Susan; sisters, Betty Culiner and Barbara Rollins and her husband, Mel; and dear friend, Shelly; as well as nieces, nephews, and many friends.
