"Find Reno: you bring 'em to me, dead or alive." Lionsgate has revealed a trailer for an action western film called Dead Man's Hand, yet another of these dime-a-dozen junk action movies. Way too many of them nowadays. This one will be out on VOD in July to watch. The film follows Reno, a newly married gunfighter seeking a quiet life with his bride. When Reno kills a bandit in self-defense, he finds them both pulled back into his old ways. Clarence Bishop, the local corrupt mayor will not let his brother's death go unpunished, so Reno returns to action swearing revenge on anyone who harms him or his family. Starring Jack Kilmer as Reno, with Stephen Dorff, Cole Hauser, Forrie J. Smith, Tait Fletcher, Corin Nemec, Mo Brings Plenty, and Costas Mandylor. This looks like every other action western released in the last few years, more of the same...

This article contains spoilers for The Mandalorian season 3, episode 4, "The Foundling."
In season 3 episode 3 of "The Mandalorian," Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) found a way to evade a horde of Tie fighters by traveling through hyperspace to the home planet of The Children of the Watch. "I'm bringing you to a Mandalorian covert. This is how we survived in exile," Din tells Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff), as the duo (along with Grogu and R4-D5) disembark on the dusty planet. Season 3 already offered us a glimpse into this rather dangerous secret location — the opening scene of the season premiere features a Children of the Watch oath-taking ritual near the waters, from which a giant space alligator emerges and munches on a few Mandos. With literal foundlings present at the scene, the odds were not in favor of the Mandalorians, who struggled to tame the beast. Thanks to Din's timely rescue, no children were chomped alive,...

This post contains spoilers for "The Mandalorian" season 3, episode 4 "The Foundling."
In the latest episode of "The Mandalorian," Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) continues to be more than the Mvp, even as a part of The Children of the Watch, in whose eyes, she is now redeemed. Directed by Carl Weathers, "The Foundling" keeps things short and sweet, focusing on a foundling rescue mission and an unexpected flashback to Order 66 at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. As Grogu re-lives painful memories of that fateful night, we are treated to discovering the Jedi who rescued him after all — it is Master Kelleran Beq, played by none other than Ahmed Best, whose cameo is a sure-shot highlight of the episode.
Circling back to The Children of the Watch, Bo-Katan immediately makes herself useful as a new recruit, taking the onus of heading the search and rescue party for Paz Vizsla's son, Ragnar (Wesley Kimmel...

Lightsabers have been a staple of the "Star Wars" franchise since Luke Skywalker saw one for the first time in the Tatooine cave of Obi-Wan Kenobi in "A New Hope." Over the decades, we've learned about the different styles of lightsabers, the Kyber crystals needed to create them, what the different colors might mean, and how to wield them. The Darksaber is a bit different than the rest, however. It was created by Tarre Vizsla a thousand years before "The Mandalorian" takes place. Tarre was the first to be both a Mandalorian and a Jedi, despite the fact that those two groups have a less-than-friendly history. The Jedi held it in their Temple until the Mandalorians freed it. Now their lore says the wielder of the Darksaber has the right to rule Mandalore, but only if they win it through combat.

Breaking Bad sequel TV movie El Camino released a new trailer containing potentially crucial information about Walter White.
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie is expected to answer the lingering questions of fans, picking up directly after the climactic events in that show’s swan song, “Felina,” which aired on AMC on September 29, 2013. However, it seems that the newest teaser trailer for the Netflix film just went and dropped the answer to what is, perhaps, the biggest of said lingering (we daresay tinfoil hat level) questions regarding the (some say ambiguous) series finale fate of Bryan Cranston’s Walter White – albeit in a subtle, Easter-egg-esque manner.
The Emmys night El Camino teaser trailer immediately assuages a major desire for Breaking Bad fans, since it provides the first post-Felina look at Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman, who’s still just as we last saw him, in the...

The Kid, directed by Vincent D’Onofrio, is a finely formed and sturdy old-fashioned western that evokes classics within the genre such as Fred Zinnemann’s High Noon and Henry Hathaway’s True Grit. It’s not a masterpiece of the genre by any means, as it doesn’t transcend the generic material at hand. However, it’s a strong compelling rendition of the somewhat conventional revenge story we’re all accustomed towards, with an affirmative narrative that explores the ideal of loyalty, fate and ambiguity of law in an honest, almost cathartic exploration that propel this into something quite special. Resulting in nothing short of a terrifically engaging,...

There are generally two types of Westerns that a filmmaker can craft these days. One way to make them is to try and pay homage to the classics and attempt to capture that feel. It’s old fashioned, but it can often work. The other way is to try and re-invent the genre, turning it on its side. That’s far riskier, but the potential outcome can be revelatory. If you don’t take one of these patches, it’s hard to figure out what you’re trying to say with your film. Unfortunately, actor and director Vincent D’Onofrio falls into that trap with The Kid. He’s crafted a well made Western, but it has nothing to say. The result is, sadly, a disappointment. The movie is, of course, a Western, centered on the final days of the long brewing showdown between Sheriff Pat Garrett (Ethan Hawke) and...

You all know Vincent D'Onofrio as Kingpin in the Daredevil Marvel series, but he’s also a director, and he directed a new western called The Kid, which is inspired by the legendary outlaw Billy The Kid.
Dane DeHaan (Chronicle) plays Billy the Kid in the film, and Ethan Hawke plays Sheriff Pat Garrett who is hunting him down. The film tells the story of a young boy who witnesses Billy the Kid's encounter with the Sheriff.
Jake Schur plays the boy, and the rest of the cast includes Chris Pratt, Leila George, Adam Baldwin, Keith Jardine, Tait Fletcher, Jenny Gabrielle, and D'Onofrio, who also takes on the role of another Sheriff. The movie actually looks really good and this is the synopsis:
In this thrilling Western, a young boy, Rio (Jake Schur), is forced to go on the run across the American Southwest in a desperate attempt to save...

Lionsgate has debuted the badass official trailer for a new western titled The Kid, which is opening in theaters in just a few weeks in early March (despite no other festival premiere or marketing before this). The Kid is the second feature film directed by actor Vincent D'Onofrio, and it tells the story of a young boy who witnesses Billy the Kid's encounter with Sheriff Pat Garrett. Ethan Hawke plays the Sheriff, Dane DeHaan plays Billy, and Jake Schur plays the boy; with an impressive supporting cast including Chris Pratt, Leila George, Adam Baldwin, Keith Jardine, Tait Fletcher, Jenny Gabrielle, plus D'Onofrio as another Sheriff. Bet you didn't think we'd have a brand new western thriller on our hands this spring, but here it is! So far so good, this seems quite intense. Give it a look below. Here's the first...

Directors: Seth Fuller and Scott Hussion. Writer: Victor Zarcoff. Cast: Amber Midthunder, Tait Fletcher and Sharon Anne Henderson. 14 Cameras is a follow-up to 2015's 13 Cameras aka Slumlord. Writer Victor Zarcoff has written both films. But, this time, the sequel has been co-directed by Seth Fuller and Scott Hussion. A familiar villain returns. In the heart of New Mexico, a family is being stalked through hidden cameras. Every intimate moment is filmed. Very much a kidnap thriller, 14 Cameras confines some of the characters, while spying on others. All of the characters are well-defined as Zarcoff gives even the minor characters something to deal with. The finale is great, with the world's worst landlord coming out from behind the walls to show his true malevolence. 14 Cameras is a decent kidnap thriller, especially if you hate happy endings. After seeing so many films, this film fan and critic has developed his own genres,...

The odds of Cate Blanchett winning her second Oscar look even stronger after she collected the Screen Actors Guild award on Sunday for best lead actress in Blue Jasmine.
Similarly Matthew McConaughey.s hopes of taking the best lead actor prize have improved after SAG recognised his performance in Dallas Buyers Club.
The SAG awards for Jared Leto as best supporting actor for Dallas Buyers Club and for Lupita Nyong.o as supporting actress in 12 Years A Slave won.t have dimmed either.s chance of winning gold.
Meanwhile the outstanding cast award for American Hustle is viewed by some pundits as a harbinger of that film.s prospects of taking the best picture gong, as happened last year with Argo.
.At this point it just doesn.t appear Blanchett can be beaten . and she still has BAFTA to go before the Academy opens its envelopes on March 2,. opined Deadline com.s Peter Hammond.
